Yeah. Critically speaking, those two are probably the least good from the period. I do still like them a lot, though, particularly Hercules.
I didn’t think Hercules was that bad. I would of personally took it over something like The Rescuers Down Under.
Personally, Pocahontas is my favorite Rennaissance film after The Lion King and Aladdin.
Personally, I thought that Pocahontas was another underrated film from the Renaissance.
I’m not calling it bad or over rated(I love Pocahontas!!!). It’s just the least good from a critical standpoint, removing one’s self from their personal emotions toward the movie. I like Pocahontas better then The Rescuers Down Under, sometimes The Little Mermaid, and it definitely has one of the best renaissance sound tracks.
I’m going to give another vote for Alan Menken. And Randy Newman, just coz the score to A Bug’s Life is quite possibly the catchiest score I think I’ve ever sat and listened to. The first thing I think of when I think of that film is the score, no kidding.
Randy Newman is awesome!
Awww!!! I’m such a fan of movie scores! This are my favorites!

My gosh, I have tons of more, but I’ll leave this for now
I like the score from The Kid (Not only did Charlie Chaplin star in that movie, he also composed the music).
With the exception of a couple forgettable songs, I think Hunchback has one of the best scores I’ve heard.
I love some of the scores you posted, TaLy! James Newton Howard is awesome
That’s my favorite Disney score, after Pocahontas.
Which ones are forgettable to you? Just curious. And it’s one of my favorites.
To be specific, opsey Turvey, God Help the Outcasts, and A Guy Like You.
Ah. God Help the Outcasts is my personal favorite other than Hellfire, but I see what you mean about the others.
It’s alright that you liked that song. I personally thought that the gargoyles didn’t need to be in the film. A Guy Like You was only there since the gargoyles thought that Quasi was in love Esmeralda, which he wasn’t.
I. totally. AGREE!!! I hate the gargoyles. Without them, the movie would be the best movie ever. Their stupid humor ruins the serious tone.
Exactly. I kind of thought that they were there for the younger audiances. You know, they probably wouldn’t be interested in watching a serious movie.
Yeah. I hate them, especially Hugo.
Yep, I agree. If they weren’t in the film, then parents would of been complaning that the film was too violent and dark for children. That’s probably why the sequel was totally different then the original film.
