Your Most Anticipated Films of 2011

If you’re a fan of film music, you’ll at least enjoy the musical cues of the first three films. Elfman did the first, Zimmer/Badelt did the second and Giacchino did the the third.

And to be honest, the third is kind of the best one. If only for Philip Seymour Hoffman’s scenery chewing villain and the inclusion of Simon Pegg.

Another film I want to see is Super. It’s a movie that stars Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page as deranged costumed vigilantes. It’s written and directed by James Gunn, the man behind the very underrated Slither.

Have to wait another year for this one buddy

q_o_p: Thanks for reminding me! The new Pirates movie as well, I’ll totally see that one.

Cars 2, MUPPETS!!, and Winnie the Pooh is about it for me

Here’s Cartoon Brew’s preview of animated films in 2011.

^ That’s a very helpful list. I neglected to include Arthur Christmas as part of my list. Holiday movies are the best! I had no idea Aardman was associated with it until now, which makes my anticipation grow even more. One film on that list, however, titled Turkeys does not impress me from the still posted. I hope the resulting film is nothing like that picture.

I know! The first time I heard of it was from that link, and I’m not impressed either!

Thanks for reminding me about The Hangover 2 tribefan695. I want to see that one too.

Man, the amount of sequel-churning in Hollywood is staggering. Minor rant aside, I’m looking forward to Green Hornet, Rio, Rango, Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides, Cars 2, Kung Fu Panda 2, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Source Code, Sherlock Holmes 2, Transformers 3: Dark Side of the Moon (but only for the vehicles and car chases, I can’t give a Shockwave about the plot), Winnie the Pooh and Cowboys and Aliens.

Tin Tin, Puss In Boots and Green Lantern a maybe.

I hope Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked involves David Cross returning as the villain, who rigs the cruise-ship bearing the chipmunks on a collision course with an oil-tanker.

As for Turkey, it uh… looks like a lemon.
