Tell your sister and your mom to “join the club”. Because WALL-E is also on the bottom of my list too.
And you are welcome!
Tell your sister and your mom to “join the club”. Because WALL-E is also on the bottom of my list too.
And you are welcome!
Oooh, now I want to try this!
Top PIXAR films:
See my signature: (It’s actually a pretty hard decision)
1 ) The Incredibles (like it’s a surprise…)
2 ) Finding Nemo (really liked it in my youth)
3 ) Monsters, Inc.
4 ) Cars (it meant something more for me than the films below this)
5 ) Toys Story 2
6 ) Toys Story
7 ) A Bug’s Life
8 ) Ratatouille
9 ) WALL•E
Many people must have hated me for a while for constantly putting no. 8 at the bottom of most of such lists I wrote. >_<" Ah, well. I have to go with my feelings here.
Well WBoon, I can see our favorite and least favorite Pixar movies are the same.
Updated list:
Soon to be on the list UP
Since I’ve changed my signature here it is:
Wow, I never listed. Here’s mine.
9 ) Cars
8 ) The Incredibles
7 ) Toy Story 2
6 ) Monsters, Inc.
5 ) Finding Nemo
4 ) Wall-E
3 ) Toy Story
2 ) Ratatouille
1 ) A Bug’s Life
Heres my list:
hmm… after careful consideration after watching WALL-E for the fourth time, I have decide to (slightly) update my list:
sigh yes WALL-E came in second. I am judging the movie compared to the others, not by itself.
Wow…i can’t believe i didn’t see this sooner…
i’m going to put in how many #1 votes the movie got just so that you guys can see how close this is on my list. (total of 150 #1 Votes)
1-The Incredibles (40)
2-Walle (35)
3-Toy Story (23)
4-Finding Nemo (19)
5-Cars (18)
6-Ratatoiulle (10)
7-Monsters Inc. (4)
8-A Bugs Life (1)
There…that looks good. Now you can see how close the movies compare to each other and to my rankings.
how many votes are there for toy story 1 & 2 separated?
Mine,
I know it’s way skewed but I rarely watch the 2 TS again, so maybe after seeing them in 3-D they will be higher on my list. It’s “favorite” list rather than “best” list. I can watch Rat and Nemo over and over and over…
Toy Story
Ratatouille
Wall-E
Toy Story 2
The Incredibles
Monsters, Inc.
A Bug’s Life
Finding Nemo
Cars
At last, watched all the nine (2 weeks). Here’s my list. Hope, someone has the same
1. WALL-E (was going to say that it was ToInfinityAndBeyond out of 10, but after that I watched a lot of other great Pixar movies, so 10/10)
2. Cars 10/10
3. Ratatouille 10/10 (classics)
4. Toy Story 2 10/10
5. Monsters, Inc. 9/10 (another classics)
6. Toy Story 9/10
7. Finding Nemo 8/10 (a bit childish but great)
8. A Bug’s Life 7/10 (pretty good)
9. The Incredibles 4/10 (nah…)
The rating value is global.
I’ve been gone quite a while! It’s good to be back! Here’s some updated statistics (with 14 new lists and 1 updated one):
POST WALL-E PIXARPLANET USERS’ TOP FILMS
Here were the rules for your list to be counted:
1. You had to have a complete list. All nine movies, ranked in order.
2. If you had a tie, I flipped a coin (very scientific, I know…)
3. I only used the latest version of your list
The format goes like this:
1. (score went up) /
(score went down) Title (Average rank) (Last calculation’s place)BASED ON AVERAGE RANK
1.
This ranks the movie by the total number of top three finishes. The format is…
1. (place went up) /
(place went down) / (place stayed the same) Title (# of finishes) (Last calculation’s place)BASED ON TOP 3 FINISHES
1.
The data came from: uruseiranma, theowne, Fett101, countsolo, theincredible, caseyDH14, Pixelated, martini833, remy_must_save_henri, The Star Swordsman, Mitch, JamieLew, moonstarms, zada, ominousorb, TS2, wallerat, Vortex, Lizardgirl, Pixart, JOHN-E, MidgardDragon, Pixar.rocks, Ragdollcorpse, WBoon, azzstar, Hannahmation, nathan, Fairly Odd New Yorker, TAMATER, Al-Bob, Killer123, queen_of_painting, JD, and doctorossi
INTERESTING STATISTICS
A staggering 42% of people have Cars as their least favorite Pixar flick (25% of people list A Bug’s Life as their least favorite)
The average rank of a Pixar film released after 2003 is 4.53, while the average rank of a Pixar film before that is 5.38
Every movie has been in every place at least once except for A Bug’s Life and Toy Story (both are missing a 2nd place rank) and WALL-E (missing a 7th and 8th place rank)
The interesting race isn’t at the top, but in the middle. Each time a list has been made, the 5-7 spots have been different. Now, only a 0.03 point margin separate Monsters, Inc., Toy Story, and Toy Story 2
Check out the raw carnage here:

Those are some really interesting statistics, Pixelated! As you said, the top and the bottom films of each ranking isn’t really surprising and there’s more of a margin, but the middle films seem to be very close. Well done for working all those stats out!
