I just got myself into this game. Thanks to a good friend of mine, I have added a sub-obsession to my life.
What do you all think of the card game, or the anime series. Any comments are welcome.
I played the card game for about an hour when it came out…It just didn’t intrigue me in any way…I know a LOT of people who do play it, however.
As for the T.V. show, It was good for the first season…Then after that I lost interest. 
Around 4-5 years ago, I was OBSESSED with the anime series… my favourite character was Joey (Jounouchi in Japanese) because I love comic relief characters. I watched the english dub first, but then slowly became intrigued with the original japanese version because the english dub cut out SOOO much to avoid getting angry letters from parents. I really liked the Malik arc, and then pretty much became uninterested afterwards.
Has anybody ever watched the Yu-Gi-Oh! abridged series on youtube done by LittleKuriboh? They’re amazing! My roomies never watched YGO, and now they’re obsessed with this parody as much as I am! EVERYBODY needs to check it out!

I love yu-gi-oh. Better than most anime series i have watched. When it came to GX, i totally abandoned it. but I love dueling.
I was obsessed with this show. In fact, obsessed is not even close. I have maybe four years worth of trading cards which I’m now looking to sell.
ey bill, what was your favorite monster in Yu-gi-oh before you lost intrest in it?
ALOT of my friends play it…but nope, never really liked it! 
I was into Digimon - if any of you guys know what that is!
TSS - Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon . Although Jinzo would come in at a close second.

Use to half-play the game. Long time ago in…I believe it was early High School.
Won a match against a “friend” who creamed me merely because I was still learning.
Managed to gain some rare cards such as Toon Town, Black Meteor Dragon, and Gaia the Dragon Knight.
Digimon is the best anime EVER!!! XD

Oh pfft…I would say Blue-Eyes White Ultimate Dragon, which I have a card of.
Blue Eyes is indeed one of the most popular cards out there. I personally like it because it is so powerful.
Well the Blue Eyes Ultimate is a combo involving 3 Blue Eyes.
Anyway, alone the card is powerful enough to fend for itself.
Definitely in agreement with PV’s statement. Pokemon still reigns supreme. Best thing to come out of Yu-Gi-Oh is the abridged series as already mentioned, which is probably some of the funniest things on YouTube as well as one of the more contriversial, considering YouTube’s been taking down his stuff and just recently banned him, despite the whole Fair Use in parody.

I know. if I am not mistaken, it is one of the few cards with the highest level. If you look at the bottom page of this link, you can see every card that has to do with the Blue Eyes.

Well, the only other monsters I can think of that have the highest level are the god cards ( I happen to own an English version of Slifer the Sky Dragon) which have 10 stars I believe.
