Zizzlingers

What in the world are Zizzlingers? They’re miniature collectible

figures that you can make appear in water! I discovered them yesterday at Target in one of the candy

aisles.

Each package costs $4.99 and contains 2 or 3 figures about 2" in height. There are 24

figures in all to

collect.

To reveal the figures, you have to shake a packet and place it in a bowl of warm water.

Then, the packet fizzes and the figures appear in the colorful bubbles.

So far I have Roz, Crush,

“George”, and Mike.

I say “George” because he’s really Bile. :unamused: Stupid

misprint.

~~=oP

Oh, wow, they’re really cool!

But that’s a pretty bad mistake, misnaming a character. It’s quite obvious he’s not George. :unamused:

That is really cool. I am hoping

to get a Mrs. Incredible since they have no Violet.

There awsome I want #10 the Dash!!!

You know what, thatnls for chaning my mind. I’ going to

shoot for every Incredibles characters on there.

That’s quite strange that they don’t have a Violet one. Also, having counted

them several times, it seems that they haven’t got the same amount of characters from each film. The most

they’ve got for a film, it seems, is for Finding Nemo, with 7, and the least they’ve got is for The

Incredibles, with four. It just seems weird that they’d include relatively minor characters from other film over

Violet, who is a main character of TI.

I want the Dash too He looks cool.

Haha – those are really cool! The Squirt figure is currently at the top of my list. I’ve got to get those.

lizardgirl - Yes, I agree. It is a mystery as to why they decided to

exclude Violet and many of the other main Pixar characters from the set(s).

Perhaps Target’s – and

other companies that sell these products – plan is to release only several packets of characters at a time, so

that us Pixar geeks will have something to look forward to. Gosh, I hope they come out with some

Ratatouille ones. :stuck_out_tongue:

If there is an explanation why they always exclude her, someone tell me. She is just as

important as the other characters.

TSS: And, in all honesty, she is more important than

Jack-Jack- in the storyline of TI, at least, since she had such a big part, and there are therefore more fans of

her. It is quite strange that they did not include her.

Mitch: That’s a

possibility, because there’s no other explanation, it seems, for such main characters to be missed out.

I’m always upset about a lack of Violet. The Incredibles Pez dispenser set didn’t

include her either.

On the back of the Zizzlingers packages, it says "Disney/Pixar Series No.

1". Hopefully Violet will be part of the second series if they go through with

it.

~~=oP

lizardgirl -

Indeed. But, like I said, we will – hopefully – see some other major characters included in a set in the

future.

PixarVixen - I wonder what it is, exactly, that has certain

companies turning their noses up at Violet products. Is it perhaps the fact that Vi is not as well remembered in

The Incredibles film?

Let’s think about this: Who are the first characters

you think of when you hear the words ‘The Incredibles’? Probably something like

this, in order:

First Mr. Incredible, then Elastigirl or Syndrome, then Edna, then Dash and Violet, then

(perhaps) Frozone, and then some other, minor characters in the film.

Bob Parr is pretty much the symbol

for The Incredibles, while Elastigirl and Syndrome tie for second place…since

they’re also major characters. Everybody knows Edna, so she has to be in the top ten somewhere. Violet and Dash

are pretty much paired, since they’re brother and sister and work together as a team in certain sections of the

movie. And Frozone, as the only other “major” super we see – besides Bob and Helen – , comes in at

fifth place.

All-in-all, the order of appearance basically depends on how many people like a certain

character. More people may favor Elastigirl over Mr. Incredible, so the roles could be switched. It’s called

“confusion”. :stuck_out_tongue:

They’re cool ,

but i’m not paying $5.00 for a little knick knack i’ll probably loose or my mom will throw out , thinking i’m

too old for " little mcdonalds toys " , since that’s probably what she would think they were .She

almost threw out my Sally and Doc Hudson cars ! Parents … think they know all the things we like !

lol

Well for me, Mitch, it goes:

Tony, Violet, Dash…;-p

Dash has become the staple character for Incredibles merchandise. Go into any

Disney Store and you’ll see what I mean.

As for Violet, I think her being incredibly thin makes it hard

for manufacturers to use her. On the other hand, I have Japanese Pepsi bottlecap figures, one of which is

Violet, and she’s the thinnest, tiniest figure I’ve ever seen. They have no excuse.

~~=oP

Who are

the first three that come to my mind? Violet, Helen, and Bob. And still, Violet continues to be under rated. I

guess more fans love Jack-Jack’s adorableness than Violet all together.

PixarVixen - Haha

– I should have figured that.

Yes, Dash is a rather popular member of the Incredibles family, as

far as merchandise goes. This is just speculation, but probably the main reason why you can spot Dash toys

everywhere is because the Disney company needs to have a back-up for “boys toys” in their stores, and

Dash is a perfect substitute.

That is a probability: that Violet’s apparent “thinness” makes

her rather difficult to spot. However, that is no reason to undermine her. Perhaps, one of these days, Violet

will be more widely recognized.

The Star Swordsman - Well…like I said, the

rating/order of favoritism all depends on each individual person’s opinion(s). And yeah, I do agree that

Jack-Jack seems to stand out in people’s minds more than Violet…unfortunately.

Mitch: I really hope so. Violet deserves some recognition.

She was an incredibly significant character in the movie. Maybe soon, one day, people will recognize her.

The Star Swordsman - Yes, I

hope so, too. She is a very significant character to the plot of The Incredibles

her life changes dramatically throughout the story/film…perhaps even more than any of the other members of her

family. (I believe that someone on these boards mentioned this aspect of Violet before.) It’s interesting –

poor Vi deserves some respect, like you said.

Besides her, I wonder what other characters could be in the near

future.

The Star

Swordsman - Judging by the order of characters in the first pack, I would say that there would be

a substantial amount of main characters, with some side characters and one or two “lesser-known”

characters along the way (ie.: Bile, in the first set). Therefore, Violet should definitely be included in the

second round.

It’s anyone’s guess as to who else they will include in the next collection.
