bawpcwpn - Gee whiz. P2P already? So soon? Great balls of
cheese…
I must admit that rachel has a point here, however. Generally
speaking: What’s the fun in that? Having seen the film once already, I must stress
that the experience can only be properly felt by seeing it on the big screen. I’m serious… It’s worth
it…
Big “duh” with a capital ‘D’.

Mitch: Yeah I totally I agree with you.
As
much as I don’t want to wait, I’ll just wait until it is released here. I won’t download it, and I’ll try to
recommend to everyone else that it is worth paying to go and see in the theatre.
I wouldn’t watch
Ratatouille any other way - Pixar have earned my support so I really don’t mind
paying to see their films. In fact I’ll pay to go see it twice: once for the
preview screening, and another when I “recommend” that my whole family go and sees it, and Ill go and
see it again, too. =) And this is coming from someone who hardly ever goes to the movies.
I want to do
that because Pixar respects their viewers by giving them quality movies, so I respect them by paying to see it in
the theater. It’s win-win.

Amen to everything you just said, rachel,
especially that last sentence. Give 'em their money’s worth! Make 'em feel appreciated!
This film
does not deserve to be seen on any format except on the
big screen/in the theater. I shun the day when the only way I’ll be able to watch
Ratatouille is on my tv screen…

Yeah. When I buy a house I want to have a home theater room, so I can watch Pixar
films in a cinema-like environment. =) It’s the only way they should be seen.

My thoughts exactly!
But back on-topic… (snigger)
If this
were some cheap, rubbish chick-flick or something, (or if it were a Dreamworks movie
) then I can see how
downloading it would be more appealing than having to wait. But this is Pixar, and it’ll be worth the wait. As
others have said, there’s no fun in just watching a fake copy, and it is illegal, after all.
Kind of stupid question, buut…
What the heck is P2P networks? Can anyone tell
me?

“peer-to-peer”
It mean illegalllll
things are happening to poor Remy. Someone probably snuck a camera into one of the sneaks and now
the film is being shared.
Remember kids, friends don’t let friends use P2P mmkay.

Unless it’s a Dreamworks film.

Well actually, P2P is not illegal. You can use Limewire, Kazaa, BitTorrent as
much as you like and its not illegal. It is illegal however, to download copyrighted
materials like most movies, music, games etc.

And it also depends what country you live in.

But back on
topic, for the people who have seen it, which other Pixar film is Ratatouille most like?
I got the
impression that it is like a cross between Toy Story (with the really happy ending), and also a bit like
Monsters, Inc. because there is a lot of emotion in it. Your thoughts?

rachel - Good question…
Truth be told, I really can’t compare
Ratatouille to any other Pixar film that has been released so far (except, perhaps,
The Incredibles, which also has that Brad Bird “flavor” to it).
It’s…indescribable. I can’t really explain how unique and magnificent it is…
From what i heard, it could be most like The Incredibles or Cars. it is about following your dreams, revealing
your identity, and not giving up.
