800 Theater Sneak Preview!

To all you people who have to wait a ridiculously long amount of time to see Ratatouille: Maybe I could just…record the whole film with a video camera or something and then display it on the internet? See you in jail. :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha! Nah – I wouldn’t do that…at all. However, I really do feel sorry for you guys. I would hate to have to wait forever to see the thing, as well. Now I know what a beautiful film Ratatouille is, it’s almost heart-breaking having to watch you guys suffer. Although, I must admit that the wait will be worth it. Trust me – it will be worth it…

Truth be told, I actually waited for this film longer than you guys. I’ve been waiting for Ratatouille since Monsters Inc. came out on DVD, although…I suppose that wishful thinking doesn’t count. Heheh.

Thanks for the support, Mitch. You know, call me

whatever you want, but I was almost crying while I was reading this post after

practically everybody’s seen it. :frowning: Everyone was happy and talking about their experiences on the theater,

while I was avoiding the spoiler tags and all that stuff…

But, by judging your review and everyone

else’s, you’re right: the wait will be worth.

No, really?! You’ve

been waiting for Ratatouille since then?! :open_mouth:

Mitch- Well, it had better be a good film after all of this!

Yeah, I’m sure it’ll be worth it…At least we know that all of the excitement that those who have seen the film are experiencing now, we have yet to come. Just counting the days, now…

Maggie - Heheh. You’re welcome.

I’m rather glad that I didn’t include any spoiler information in my “C’est Magnifique” thread/review, as it would have only made you guys more jealous. Besides, spoilers weren’t necessary. It was such a beautiful film that only appreciation was needed…

Yep – I’m not kidding you. I remember it like it was yesterday: My sister and I were watching Monsters Inc. (at least, I’m pretty sure that it was Monsters Inc.…), when I said to her, “Why doesn’t Pixar make a rat movie? They’re so good at making movies, so why not?!”

Truth be told, I never thought it would happen. Alas! Look at what popped up. :stuck_out_tongue:

lizardgirl - Haha! Don’t worry, you’re gonna love it. If it changed my life, I can only image how it will affect the rest of you guys…

I got to see Ratatouille on Saturday it was the best Pixar film yet and it was so funny!!!

Agreed!

Just 11 more days. just eleven more stupiid, longs days.

TSS - You took the words right out of my mouth.

Oh, forgive me Bill, but it just seems so long. i want to watch it so badly!

Oh man, it’s getting harder and harder to be on this forum with many potential spoilers to avoid! Especially because I’m trying to push this little tidbit out of my memory:

[spoil]
Linguini and Colette getting together at the end. Or do they? I’m not 100% sure… No wait. Don’t tell me. I’ll wait until the movie. =P[/spoil]

Ok. And just 'cause I’m bored, I’ll do my own countdown:

“Just 71 more days. just seventy-one more stupiid, longs days.”

Your 11 days doesn’t seem that bad now, does it? :stuck_out_tongue:  But yeah, the last days until you see it would be the worst. They would go by the slowest.

seventy one days? Holy cow rachel. I wish I can give you a hug right now.

What I would really love to do is control time. I would love to speed up the time so I can see the movie earlier.

Heh. Thanks. I’ll be alright for now. When Ratatouille is officially released on June 29 I think it will be worse 'cause 80% of people here would have seen it. I can probably subtract 14 days from that 71 if we have preview screenings here, so it’s not that bad.

The merchandise should be coming out soon here, so I have that to look forward to. I need to save up some money, so at least the delay will give me time.

104 days, for me. But it will be worth it! It will be!

Yeah, I went into a Disney store to ask about merchandise, but they said that it will come out probably just a week or so before the film is released, so probably some time at the end of September. As we’ve talked about in another thread, the Cars merchandise is still selling really well, so they’re probably trying to make the most of that before introducing anything Ratatouille related.

Oy, 104 days of waiting. Well, this whole ordeal of England having to wait until October 5th seems like PV and Aggie said in the fifth episode of Radio Pixar, not fair. I’ve seen that happen before actually on another movie: Harry Potter 5. Australia had to wait until October as well, but they started an online petition and got Warner Bros. to switch the release date to July 27 I believe. So I feel you’re pain lizardgirl , that seems like a really long of a wait.

[spoil]I know the answer. I know the answer…! (snigger) [/spoil]

I was mad because i was in New Jersey that weekend … waah !!

oh well , me and purpleyblue are gonna see it the day it comes out .

Mitch : I knew you were gonna see it …

Lucky you

GLP. I am going to watch it the day after it is released. BUt I am having one huge party so it will be fun.

well it is a sad day.

Ratatouille has reached P2P networks :frowning:

Wow, already!? How do they do it so fast!?

Seriously? P2P already? Hmmm. This is a tough one to call.

On one hand, I feel that the

first time anyone should experience this movie is in the theatre, along with the Wall.E trailer, and Lifted. I

have heard that Ratatouille is getting rave reviews and that it could be the best Pixar film to date. Coupled

with the fact that Pixar put an enormous amount of effort into their films, and you know the storyline will be

top notch. So you really are getting your money’s worth when you pay to see this in the theatre where it

deserves to be seen, instead of downloading. Shrek 3 is a totally different matter though…

And then

on the other hand, I think that Pixar/Disney may have shot itself in the foot here by allowing such a drastic

delay between the US release and AUS and UK release. If somebody did live in two those countries did download

because they simply couldn’t wait that long, then I’m not going to judge them, because I do know the feeling of

being jilted and like, your country isn’t worth the amount of dollars it may cost them to release it at the same

time as in the US. Maybe Pixar will start to get the message of how annoying it is to have to wait four months,

and change their future plans accordingly?

Personally, no matter how strongly I would really want to just

go ahead and download it just so I don’t feel like I am missing something, I will probably just wait it out, no

matter how inconvenient to a big Pixar fan, such as myself. The benefits of watching it in a theatre for the

first time and having that whole experience would make up for it, but for the general downloaders who aren’t

Pixar fans like me, wouldn’t be as patient as I am.

Here’s to hoping this doesn’t happen again next

year.
