800 Theater Sneak Preview!

I’m extremely pleased to announce that Ratatouille is a phenomenal movie. I actually

sat through the credits on the verge of tears, but that’s another story. I can’t wait for it to open

officially so the whole forum can discuss it.

Y’know, I saw/read so much spoilers (all except the ending and everything near the end) and I thought that was

it, that the film would be ruined for me. And it wasn’t. It was amazing (though I think that word is just not

good enough to describe it)

I could’ve done without the spoilers, of course, so Pixar’s next release,

I’m keeping my mind a clean slate. nod

Downside to the film is that I can’t watch 'My Neighbor

Totoro’ tonight (for the first time), since this movie is fresh on my mind and I won’t be able to stop thinking

of Ratatouille. :stuck_out_tongue:

The movie inspired me though, and I was so glad that my story idea’s main characters

are nothing like Linguini and Colette!! dances around the room

That’s good that it wasn’t like you thought it would be. Brad Bird said "when

you think this movie is going to go right, it will take a left" and vice-versa, so it sounds unpredictable.

Was it?

I’m so excited about this movie!

I think

it’s probably more unpredictable if you didn’t read spoilers, but in particular there was one part that I

thought would turn out differently and I was shocked when it went in the other direction. Wish I could say more

about it but I wouldn’t want to spoil ^^ I’m sure there were others but I can’t think … I know some of

Linguini’s interactions between him and Remy were pretty unexpected.

Oh, ok. I can’t wait to know what happens at the end. Gah! Did you cry at the end,

FONY? Some people on IMDb are saying they were crying at the end…

I wonder

when Mitch is going to get online… I think she will go crazy over how cute Remy is, and how great the movie is.

Heh. Her reaction will be priceless!

I just got back from the screening and it was wonderful. The entire audience clapped

when it was done. And it has a really sweet and satisfying ending. My favorite 2007 film to date!

rachelcakes: I didn’t

cry at the end, but somewhere near the end I almost did. ^^ My eyes were brimming with tears

^^;

Percevalx: They all clapped too- to be honest I didn’t, I was dealing

with the aftershock. I was sitting there with a big stupid grin on my face throughout, and at the end it was

still there. xD

I’m a bit of cryer, so

I’ll probably cry.

Aftershock? LOL That’s cute!

Me after the movie: I REALLY WANT TO COOK NOW!!!

Haha, it was lots of fun!

It made me want to go to Paris! I really could relate to Remy… the way he runs after his dream. I liked the wine

bit with Skinner and Linguini… I just thought it was hilarious.

Tears? Nah. Nothing was tear-jerking for

me in this film (and trust me, I do cry during films… I did a tiny bit during Cars), but my heart did get

tugged at some certain scenes.

And Lifted was reaaally funny! I loooove that little alien!! The intro to

WALL-E was nice… it put you in a different time frame for a few seconds that felt kind of surreal to me.

I just got back a few min ago from seeing the movie for my 2nd time, and what can I say? It

was great!

Bonjour, Pixar Planet! I’ve been sick for a while, but I’m back

and bursting at the seams with joy from watching Ratatouille tonight!

Linguini was already my favorite character before walking into the theatre. I am so gonna be

like him my first day on the job at an animation studio. Hahaha.

In my opinion, visually,

Ratatouille is Pixar’s best film, and the sets are by far the most complex. They

literally designed every nook and cranny. Heheh. Props to the set designers.

The funniest scene was

when [spoil]Linguini was drunk[/spoil], especially to Dash and

I. The Brain Trust has its own little in-jokes, too. Heehee.

I thoroughly scanned each scene

for the usual…A113, the Pizza Planet truck, Pixar references…but all I spotted during my first viewing of the

film was [spoil]Bomb Voyage performing on the street as a mime (which was extra thrilling for me,

being the major Incredibles fan I am)[/spoil]. I never even heard Brad

Bird’s voice, yet I was listening for him in the film and saw his name listed in the cast. Maybe he was

credited for the teaser trailer. I was excited to see [spoil]Jack Bird[/spoil] listed

as an additional voice. ;-p I hope to hear him voice a more noticeable character in the future.

Oh. As

I’m typing this, Dash is telling me JV saw

[spoil]A113 on Git’s tag[/spoil], which I remember seeing, but it didn’t register with me

at the moment. Heh.

Ahhhh. Finally, I can read my copy of [i]The Art of

Ratatouille[/i] without a worry in my head. Spoilers are no longer an issue.

But more than

anything about Ratatouille, what truly inspired me was the message. I know I can

become what I want to become if I work hard and follow my heart.

Compliments to the chefs at Pixar for

creating another masterpiece! :sunglasses:

~~=oP

PixarVixen: Omg, I thought that was the funniest scene as well! I can’t believe they

did such a scene on a Pixar film. Soooo cute. XD

Just got back from the 6 hour trip to see Ratatouille…And BOY,

was it worth it!!! I’ll do my little review tomorrow. I’m to tired right now. :stuck_out_tongue: But wow, I wasn’t

disappointed!

PV - I not sure, but I think

Brad Bird play the guy that say Gusteau’s is popualer again (Ambrister Minion).

Just

got back! Loved every minute of the film, Lifted and the Wall-E teaser. Thing is, I hated the experience I had at

my theatre, too many to list know. But, then again, I got to see the new Pixar film two weeks early!!

Well, my theater was about 1/20 full, so it was

quiet. I had the best seats in the house (Being there an hour b4 it started) and had a great view. No kids,

really. It was great! Now opening night for the 29th…That’s gonna be crazy.

Ah, I’m glad to hear the positive comments.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to the showing after preordering my tickets several days in advance.

Fortunately, my little sister went instead and could only rave.

I hope I don’t get too many kids at my screening. It can kinda ruin it.

i might be the unlucky one. i am going to watch it one

day after its release. i am sure there are going to be kids everywhere.

Argh! My worst nightmare. You could try to go at night…
