I think they could.
I hope they do soon. And hope it’s a 2D film as well.
I would prefer a 2D one to win.
If Disney won that with a 2D film, that would probably mean more 2D films because Disney will know people liked it.
That can be assumed^.
That could very well be the case.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Spirited Away is the only 2D film to win.
It’s the only traditionally animated one, yes. Wallace and Gromit was claymation and the rest are all CGI.
Because of that I would like too see more 2D win. Just give them a chance to have some fun.
I definitely agree with you^^.
It would definitely popularize 2D animation again.
Yep, so I think some years I will cheer for Dinney or another 2D film to beat Pixar. As long as the movie is good that is.
Whilst it would be nice for a 2D film to win, it’s not important to me as long as the film is good.
I second that, definedancing.
You are right definedancing, but I think it would be nice to see some 2D again.
I don’t think 2D is dying. I just think we haven’t seen enough of it since 2004.
That’s true^^.
There’s been some really good 2D films since 2004 though, but the majority of them seem to be foreign films. It’s nice when a film like Persepolis or The Illusionist gets recognition from the Academy, but nobody ever expects them to win, which is a shame.
True. I think it’s also a shame that animation is an underrated genre.
Brad Bird fist will hit your face.
