Me neither. I thought that it looked like garbage from the commercials, much like Alvin and the Chipmunks.
I haven’t seen it, but it looked pretty bad from trailers and things like that.
Oh, ok. I just thought that was the case from what i’ve seen. It should at least get a nomination or a Golden Globe, though. Plus, i thought it would make up for the poor marketing.
But if i had to pick a second option, it would probably be Rango. 
Yeah. It felt as if Aardman wasn’t too confident in the film here by its marketing. I didn’t think it would make much money but I expected the positive reviews for the film. Aardman films never really caught on here in America anyways.
What station do the Awards play on?

It’s a shame. Aardman are part of the culture here. We don’t go a christmas without watching the Wallace and Gromit shorts. A Close Shave is my favourite

Could the Smurfs even qualify?
It was in the long list of 18 but it’s been disqualified. They’ve kept Alvin though, as well as the 3 mocap films.
I think they kept Alvin because there’s no chance of it winning.

I don’t see why Alvin and the Chipmunks even counts as an animated film. Just like Hop and The Smurfs, it’s just a live-action film with CGI characters in them.

The Academy may have its mistakes sometimes, but that’s too much. Evidently that won’t happen.
