New “Cars Toon”! On November 1st, Cars 2 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. One of the special features will be an all-new Short film entitled “Air Mater”. This short film will connect the “Cars” world to the upcoming movie “Planes” to be released on Blu-Ray sometime next year! ET has posted a clip from the new short film.
I’m looking forward to seeing Air Mater. It’ll be fun to see some more airplanes, even if the video will only be a few minutes long.
Looks pretty decent. To me, it looks like a little preview of what to expect in the spinoff Planes.
Can’t wait to see what shenanagins Mater gets himself in this time!

That was the best Tall Tale ever. Even Moon Mater wasn’t that good!
I can hardly wait to see the movie Planes…
Don’t know about you guys but I noticed that most of the character dialogue (especially Mater’s) was missing in the video.
It all seemed to be there when I watched it. Weird.
That was awesome! It still doesn’t beat out the UFO one though. 
And the dialogue was working just fine for me.
Well, I herd some of the other characters speak but not Mater. I’ll have to try again.
“Well that’s just flatout awesome”
The ending was great, “They should make a whole movie about planes” WINK
Okay, did anyone else just die from the complete cuteness of Guido going around in circles trying to fly?!?! The look on his face, his little arm things and tongue sticking out! <3
I love how Mater’s like “Can you learn me how to fly?” That’s proper language right there. 
Hahahahaha! “I really can teach anyone! Hey, put that sign back!” 
Doesn’t Skipper look like plane version of Doc?
The whole air show part/finale was awesome! This is the best tall tale! I couldn’t stop laughing at the ending. “coughcough

I forgot about the Guido part! That’s got to be the best scene in the whole short. 
And yeah, Skipper does sorta remind me of Doc. Not sure why, but he also kinda reminds me of Mr. Ray from Finding Nemo.
It’s so cute! Gasp, he does seem like Mr. Ray too! I think it’s the blue/white-greyish scheme going on.
Tried it again and the audio was there for the most part. Some of Mater’s dialogue was still cut but most of the dialogue is there.
I think it also may have been his physique… they both move similarly due to having wing-like (or just wing) structures. I guess all the planes have that though. So maybe it’s how his head is positioned, or his character, or like you said, his colors. Or maybe it’s all of them. 
I think all of those all have to do with it.
