Back To School

I

had my first day of graduate school classes today…pretty much exactly like undergrad, but more foreign

students. Five people graduated from the aerospace engineering program in May, and four of us are staying here

for grad school and the other guy is going to law school! We’re not ready to leave yet. We feel like in our

field, a master’s degree will really help us get jobs we really enjoy, instead of an entry-level position in

something we don’t really care about.

Okay, and the pay should be a lot better.

Always gotta consider the pay! VERY important.

Sweet! What kind? I’m

primarily Star Wars (though my next big project is Belle’s ballroom gown from Beauty and the

Beast).

It’ll be a challenge to do all my work, spend time with my friends,

and have costume sewing time. But I’m going to have a sewing room this year,

because my friends and I are living in a house off campus. 'Tis a most glorious thing to be a senior.

So far I’ve been making anime costumes. I just started making costumes a year or so ago, but I’ve been

sewing for awhile.

I’m pretty excited this year, I finally got the optiion I wanted. Moohaha.

Heh. I’m not excited

for school One-freaking-bit school has done horrible things to me><; And

always will.

This thread is depressing.

Depressing! Pssh. I’m totally stoked for school.

Yes, I am an irredeemable nerd. Three days from

now I’ll be on campus! dances

Well, just started University life today . . . main reason I’ve been off for awhile. By starting, I mean I

just moved into my dorm and picked up all my books!

Classes start Monday . . . let you know what happens

next (if I’m not to compressed in HW)!

I’m only a Jr. in High School. I wonder what college life

is like.

I’m in Jr. High also :stuck_out_tongue: Everyone is saying once i get outta it High school is better…

should i believe that? XD

People tend to

say that high school is the best time of your life, but I’ve got to tell you that I’ve enjoyed college

better… high school has more “freedom,” if you will, than jr. high, but college has even more freedom

than high school.

I’ll keep that high school has more “Freedom”

in mind XD But at the moment i don’t think i even want to get into college yet o.o To much to worry about

My Middle School years were some of my favorite years of my life . . . and I truly enjoyed my high school years

as well. I really can’t tell which I liked more!

As for University Life:

Day 4 of my first week.

I’ve read like a gazillion pages since school has started, and I’ve written like two papers. However, it’s

not so bad because I end classes about 12:30 everyday, so that means I have the whole afternoon to work on my

assignments.

I recently got a job with Event Operations, so I’ll be working after class as well. As long

as I don’t let anything slide (and I work more on the weekend than on weekdays), I’m sure I be able to maintain

enough time to do my schoolwork (no such thing as "home"work now , huh?)

As for the Dorm life,

I’m with in an all-guy dorm and everyone’s really nice. My roomate and I work together just fine (I go to bed

early he stays up late but quiet – I get up early but I get ready quite and he sleeps the entire

time.)!

Just thought if you were curious . . . not that my life is TOO interesting or anything . . . .

:stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not really sure if I am ready for college

life after I got an idea of college life.

… I just ralisd school

starts a day earlier then I first thought. It starts on Tuesday, yes, I’m still not back in school. XD

No worries, Starswordsman . . . don’t even worry about it right now. Just enjoy the years you have right

now . . . beleive me, you’ll definitely appreciate it when you’re not that much older!

Oh, and congrats

on the 300 posts!

What is junior high?

Is that like primary school…? Or is it between primary and high school?

To explain it, Junior High is the same

thing as a Middle school. Junior is generally grades 6-8. For example, Violet goes to Western View Junior High.

She is a Middle school student.

Okay, yeah, we

don’t have Middle School either. But I think I see what you mean.

I actually think Middle school is the worst…

basically because people can be so mean at that age. In elementary school, nothing matters and everyone is your

friend basically. There are no little groups depending on sporty or bandy or by race… everybody just mingles.

That stuff develops in middle school but… middle school is the time when everyone is trying to discover

themselves. It makes people touchy and making friends is a bigger deal. People try too hard to be cool. By high

school, you’re pretty much over all that stuff and you are more interesting in spending 4 great years with your

friends and experiencing life before college and the real world.

I like high school, even if I don’t

want to go back to it at the moment (for the school year). But honestly, I’ve made so many good friends my past

freshmen year that just being able to see them everyday makes me happy. There’s so many more opportunities to

make friends in high school because there are so many people and so many different classes to share interests. I

have friends in all classes (Freshmen, Sophmore, Junior, Senior) and even though the seniors are gone this year,

I’m glad I got to know them and spend time with them while I could. (One of my best senior friends left today

for college…)

School starts on Thursday for me… and I still have summer assignments to finish up.

Ahah. Yay for procrastination!
