It think it was a bad move not to pick Hilary, but regardless, I think Obama and Biden would make a fantastic team to lead this country. Change all the way!!!
1-I thought that both sides of the congress and house aggreed that a war on terrorism should begin. I agree that is definitely has turned into a whole sale wipeout of extremists but we all started it and even funded it.
2-who needs cars when they don’t work. Thwe point is this…more then 50% of people in poverty don’t work but sill have some of the most “needed” essentials that rich people have. We aren’t good managers of our money and we the tax payers are respnsible to pay those people. So that way they can stay in poverty.
3-Yes Republicans aren’t going to make it smaller and i step on them for that. But does that mean that some people in the republican party that i would support aren’t. Look at Palin. She is my candidate for next election. She will be the conservative banner.
4-Your using the Pitt tribune. It that liberal or conservative. Show me a conservative newspaper that doesn’t support the republicans and i’ll agree with you that the entire republican party is ruined.
5-Obama wants to lower taxes but raise company taxes. Will that help our weakening economy? Who ends up paying for those lower taxes to the poor. The oil companies. If we penalize the oil companies will the price for oil go up or down? What percent of rich people are you in? Do you feel like your paying enough already? If you pay less who will pay more. Bill Gates? Will his company flourish if he pays higher taxes?? Will the small business owners prosper if taxes affect them?? If we lose the small business we loose most of our already weakening economy.
Well, I’m utterly appalled at the lack of direction and connection of military ideals in Obama’s side of the debate.
I give Obama a B for the poor direction in his speech.
I honestly thought McCain’s plans for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the details he chose to present were much better and more seasoned than Obama’s.
I give McCain an A+ in this debate for his flat-out lesson to Obama about military proceedings in politics.
Honestly, because of (in my opinion) McCain’s better planning of his strategy 4 Iraq and Afghanistan and his well-roundedness and direction in this debate, I am now for McCain, mainly because of what he promises to do about the wars. I’m for McCain, I stand by it.
Let the comments come. Let 'em come! But I won’t change my stance.
All i saw was barrack interrupting McCain like crazy…now i can see why these things are just mup throwing parties. They wouldn’t even seem to notice the people watching…i felt so out of touch.
I also saw many incidents where barrack contradicted himself…
Well of course everyone’s gonna say that their candidate did better. I didnt catch the whole thing, but I think Barack did alright. I was actually connected to this LiveBlog at Comedy Central’s Indecision 2008 which made pretty amusing commentary during the debate.
I will say that I did notice that Barack was a little more politically generous, by making some statements like “Senator McCain is right about this point” or “I agree with Senator McCain on this point” which I didnt catch McCain doing. Also, Barack talked more at McCain (which the moderator wanted them to do) and McCain talked more to the audience or the camera.
Although in terms of actually debating I was a little disappointed. There wasnt much give and take by either of them. It was more like Barack gave a little speech, then McCain, then Barack. Although part of that I think is the structure the moderator had come up with for this.
All of the time i watched 15 minutes straight was just then interrupting each other and trying to fight over time. I turned it off after the speaker (orginizer) asked a question to McCain. McCain was answering it when Barrack started to interrupt in the most disrespectful way. He didn’t stop until McCain was like 3/4 of the way done.
A113: You really like to tick bawpcwpn and other off do you? You previous Obama statement is an argument. NOw the difference between your statement about Obama being a joke and you having your birthmark is that one is argueable, and the other can be accepted. In this case, your birthmark comment is accepted, because it is your body, and you know it better than anyone. However, you can’t say Obama is a joke without backing those words up with some really hard and powerful evidence that he really is a “joke.”
