Batman: The Dark Knight

 Yes! The disguising of his voice annoyed me to pieces.
There’s a funny spoof of it on Youtube if you haven’t seen it already : Joker Interrogation Scene Spoof

Heheh that was cool ! :stuck_out_tongue:
It also was a bit disturbing to me that he changed his voice like that but it passed by the middle of the film…

I don’t know, I think the disguising of his voice would have been necessary. Sure, it might have been annoying, but it sure filled up the plot hole that involved people having to actually recognize Bruce’s actual voice behind the mask?

And no, dJirrev, just no. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have posted this before, but the majority of the people agree that he did sound like a grizzly bear.

Again, it didn’t matter. The film was perfect, the voice was perfect, everything about the film was perfect. :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe the movie wasn’t perfect. But it was pretty dang close.

I don’t know, I couldn’t find one flaw out of the film. And no, the voice ain’t a flaw… just ask the millions of people out there, they would agree.

Hmmm, our thoughts about TDK seems to be a little different WBoon. I don’t know, perfection of a movie is entirely the opinon of one person. I thought that TDK was pretty close to be perfect, but you think that TDK is flawless, but you combine both opinons together, overall, TDK is one of the greatest movies of all time.

Well, if you consider that there are actual flaws about it, why don’t you point them out? And the voice being annoying doesn’t define the perfection of a film, FYI. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, first off, what I didn’t like about TDK was the voice of Batman. Probably another thing I didn’t like about TDK might be a little bit of two-face. Not his character, but I thought that his face might have been pushed a little too much for me.

…Doesn’t have to do with the perfection of the movie. The idea of using a rugged voice instead of his ‘I-can-hear-it’s-Bruce-Wayne-behind-that-mask’ voice was ingenious.

It sure beats the Two-Face of ‘Forever.’

Now that Two-Face scares me. It was kinda unrealistic and definitely lack of logical explanations. I think that the makers of the new Two-Face did an excellent job in the Two-Face by showing the way he was scarred.

I’m with TSS on this one. A lot of people in the cinema, including myself and my friends, kept giggling whenever Batman said a word. For a movie that’s meant to be all serious and dark, having the main character start speaking in a ridiculous voice as though he’s from some kid’s TV programme ruins the atmosphere.

:-\ It [i:1vrxmk66]is[/i:1vrxmk66] all serious and dark. Harvey Dent was not supposed to die and act as a 'white knight of justice.' Instead, he was corrupted and eventually turned psycho. It had a really grim tone I could just feel stepping out of the theater, like things could had gone so much happier, but if so, it wouldn't have been what it is - a perfect film.

Uh…wasn’t the original Adam West series one? Just riling you, I know this version of Batman was supposed to be scary, not funny.

Although I agree with TSS Two-Face’s face is pretty gruesome, I have to go with Wboon on it suiting the ‘realistic tone’ of the movie. The scars in Forever looked so fake that it’s hard to be intimidated by him, so Eckhart’s Dent definitely looked ‘cooler’ in a frightening sense. I loved how he just walked around with his burn wounds exposed to the air, and how the liquor just dribbled out of his neck as he drank it in the bar. His suit even got a ‘makeover’ that wasn’t as gaudy as Lee Jones’ one.

As for Batman’s voice, I thought it was too ‘grunty’ too, but that didn’t detract me from the fact that it was still an awesome movie. I mean, how else is Batman suppose to sound like? It’s all subjective, and I hated how the less-enthusiastic critics used this minor nitpick to criticise the movie (not that I don’t agree with you guys that it’s quite ‘guttural’ , but that doesn’t really constitute a bad point of the movie).

It was an amazing movie and I can’t wait for the DVD.

Heath Ledger put in an amazing performance. He had me from the pencil. There were many times in the movie were he was the Joker who I always wanted; dark, sadistic etc. He did a fantastic job.

I could praise his performance and the story all day long, but I must say one thing kind of annoyed me. Between the second act ending with [spoil]the death of Rachel[/spoil] and the beginning of the third act with [spoil]the boat/Harvey Dent[/spoil], I felt like there wasn’t enough pacing. It was like BAM [spoil]she’s dead[/spoil] and next BAM [spoil]Get ready for an hour long finale![/spoil]

Apart from that, very good.

It fit in perfectly with that movie though, as the entire thing was unrealistic and lacking logical explanation.

As gruesome as Two-Face looked, I actually felt sorry for him. I don’t understand how a guy could actually live with their body in such a burned damaged condition, but …I dunno, I felt the need to hug and comfort him at some parts. Things could have been better for him. Poor Harvey.

This movie is AMAZING!!!

Talk about reviving an old thread. This thread was almost 2 years old MBproductions 13 8D

Back on topic, I liked this movie. Actually, I loved it, especially Heath Ledger’s reimagining of the Joker. I can’t wait for the third installment

Hahah I know I like looking at old posts. :-D)
