Yes, that’s the title
of the movie. ![Bemused :-\]()
I’ve had my [i:3637n0xp]Over The Hedge[/i:3637n0xp] DVD for about a month, but I
didn’t check out the bonus features until tonight. One was a sneak peek at the new DreamWorks film,
[i:3637n0xp]Bee Movie[/i:3637n0xp], coming November

Jerry Seinfeld voices Barry the honeybee. He lives in a city where bees live like
humans, but one day, Barry talks [i:3637n0xp]to[/i:3637n0xp] a human. That’s all I know.
LOL

Looks cute. It’s too soon to tell how well this movie will do, but so far, it’s too
similar to [i:3637n0xp]A Bug’s Life[/i:3637n0xp] for my taste.

Yeah, I read about this some time ago on
www.jimhillmedia.com. I’m not at all crazy about the design, and I’ve seen too many bug movies to date –
so…I’m not even gonna bother.
Pfff. “Bee Movie”. That
title is wonderful, isn’t it?
bees
scare me . they’re like , little living needles that can hurt you .

Here is the article that I was talking about:
Bee Movie
Scroll down a
little, and you will notice a short article detailing some of the finer points of this so-called
Bee Movie. Pictures are included, as well.

gottalovepixar - On the contrary, if we didn’t
have bees, there wouldn’t be any flowers in your backyard right now.
there are none . theyv’e been dead since our forst frost
It looks good, but the
question really is will it be good? Ant Bully was the last animated insect movie released in theaters. That
didn’t really impress a lot. So what makes this anything until it has been released.
I loved Ant Bully. Nevertheless, the bug theme has been
used numerous times in animation. I say, after Bee Movie, give it a
rest.

Well, the story is very unique, but isn’t it the same as Ant Bully? Meeting up with a
human?
Doesn’t look good, doesn’t sound good, isn’t by Pixar,
and is therefore not worth paying money to see.

The Star Swordsman - I think the only differences between
Bee Movie and Ant Bully are that: 1) The characters are
bees instead of ants, and 2) instead of a human shrinking down to the size of an ant, a bee talks to a human. So,
yeah, it’s basically the same principle, only a little more “twisted”.
lizardgirl - I agree. I don’t need to waste more money than I can afford,
especially if the film doesn’t look good (or isn’t worthwhile) in the first place.

I
actually think it looks good…Yeah, insects have been done before blah blah blah, but I like the look of the
film and the first teaser was funny.
So…
Baaaah.
I just saw the movie.
I was like, “What the heck?”
But it was funny. I hope they have Chris Rock in it.
Just because an animated movie
hasn’t been made by Pixar doesn’t mean it isn’t worth seeing. I’ll give any animated movie a chance, and
then I form an opinion about it.

lizardgirl: Well, I know this movie isn’t made by the
animation king of the world. But still, you can’t judge a film by it’s creators.

Meg - Well…I’m glad you like the look of it, in any case.
The
only reason I’m not quite interested in this film is because I have seen one too many computer animated features
that are just not “up to par”. Yes, they are beautiful to look at, sure, but most of them just don’t
have that quality and tenderness about them that Pixar has. Such films as Over the
Hedge, Open Season, and Ant Bulley just
didn’t appeal to me that much. I loved Ice Age 2 and Happy
Feet, but that’s pretty much it.
I just can’t afford to see every animated movie
that comes out, unfortunately. I’ll see it if it’s by Pixar because it’s pretty much certain that it’s going
to be good, but I won’t risk seeing an animated film in the cinemas otherwise. I’ll just wait to watch it on
TV.
What you could do is check the internet for reviews or ask your friends and see what they
think.

Who, Disney?
Yup, that’s what I do. Now, I HAVE seen non-Pixar movies I like (ala Ice
Age, though the sequal was rather bland), but most of them aren’t very good. Not to say there isn’t a lot of
creative effort behind them, becuase there is, something just goes wrong along the way…Like…Stupid execs.

“High-five” to that.
Yeah, I’m not at all that keen about
viewing films that are not made by a reliabe source. I will still go to see Disney films, simply because they
have made so many hits that I still have some faith in them. Blue Sky Studios, Aardman Productions and other
independent companies have retained my trust as well – DreamWorks is going down the tubes
and the list… Happy Feet is rare exception
concerning successful films – even I was rather surprised in how good it turned out to be, even though I had
been anticipating it for the past few months anyway.
Oh well. At least we still have Pixar.
The problem is, the reviews aren’t always reliable. There’s
always the chance that even though a review says the film is very good, someone might not enjoy it, and vice
versa.
