Biggest Animated Film This Summer CARS 2 vs PANDA 2

And this kind of stuff is why I haven’t been posting as often as I used to.

…I voted for KFP2. The end. And this is the last thing I will probably post here so we don’t start a war or something. That has been happening alot recently… over very irrelevant things.

I’m sorry, DoE. I really am. :frowning: I’ll try to tone my attitude down from now on.

Incredigirl: THis might be me, but maybe you’re being a little too sensitive when people disagree with you. A person can disagree, without acknolwedging your opinion, and still be polite.

Aww, I wasn’t talking about you in particular, IV. Please don’t feel bad.

No, I was just saying that alot of the members seem to be getting fired up over little things, and it’s just been causing more “wars” than just simple disagreements. That’s all.

Disagreeing is human nature. If we all agreed with each other, we might as well be robots. (“Walll…E…”)

But what matter is that we have a civil discourse. Thanks to Otulissa (a character from Legend of the Guardians) for introducing to me this wonderful expression.

Some people appreciate fart jokes. Some people don’t. Some people think Cars is childish. Some people don’t. So what?

IV, don’t apologise. You were merely expressing your opinion, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

And xCarsLuverx, you’re totally right, nobody was attacking IV.

Frankly, I don’t see what’s the big frinkin’ deal. Honest to Chrysler, I’m not trying to play peacemaker here, but this argument started over the fact that y’all think there was an argument, when there was none to being with. Two people expressed different opinions. Read the posts again. :unamused:

Don’t make me start teaching y’all about Zen philosophy…

I was just apologizing because I’ve caused yet another argument.

XcarluverX, I’m really sorry. :frowning:

Agreeing with TDIT. No offense to ANYONE, but I really do sense a bit too much of a bias going on here. :stuck_out_tongue:
There’s a poll for reason- vote on whatever you like! We might have clashing opinions, but there’s no need to get into arguments about anything.

Personally, I am fully supporting both to do great. I may have chosen Cars 2 in the poll, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see Panda succeed also. Why does Pixar’s movie have to be the only good animated movie of the year? :stuck_out_tongue: I appreciate diversity.

I agree what Lerin said. Diversity is good. Maybe both will blow us away.

YES. I’m so tired of almost everyone here complaining about almost every animated movie that’s not Pixar.

Check out this poll from BOM:

I voted Cars2.

me too

I would vote a Pixar movie over a dreamworks movie, especially since said dreamworks movie makes no promises on quality.

I disagree. maybe in the past, dreamworks have not produced quality films, but Kung Fu Panda and how To Train Your Dragon are exellent quality films by dreamworks.

Well, those are both really good(I’d be the first to scream that into someone’s face), but that says nothing on the sequels. I like Shrek 2 to a small extent, but DW has not yet shown us a great sequel. Kung Fu panda and HtTYD are their best yet, IMO, and have the best sequel potential, but we still have to wait to know if the sequels are as good as the originals.

Dreamworks sequels like Madagascar 2 and Shrek 4 are real sh*****, sorry if someone loves these films but honestly they are really bad

True, hopefully KFP2 will be different.

That’s what I’m saying. I fully hope that this sequel is the exception. But, unlike Pixar, DW have yet to give us any reason to believe that. Even if you dislike the TS sequels, they still have a certain quality level to them. That is true of very DW films, very few sequels, and no DW sequels, IMO.

I’m really excited for Cars 2. However, I’m a little skeptical about the plot, I believe it’s a little too flashy and overwhelming. I even wrote an article about it! here is some of what I wrote: “The first Cars film attracted many young boys to the excitement of racing, and the excitement of who would win the Piston cup. This made the movie a major hit among boys around the age of seven. Of course Pixar knows this, which could be mostly why the plot for the sequel is filled with flashy races in glamorous scenes all around the world, exaggerating aspects of what made Cars a hit. This sequel seems to have it all: crazy chase scenes, secret agents, explosions, major races like the Piston Cup, and destinations all around the world. But is bigger really better?”

Kung Fu Panda is a dullfest. At least, I think it was Kung Fu Panda I was watching, though it might have been Furious Five, a direct-to-DVD sequel to Kung Fu Panda. Whichever one I was watching was terrible.

Cars is good, and some Cars haters will see this movie and love it. This film, though set in the Cars world, is nothing like the original film at all, from what I know.
