Yeah, the blu-ray is, i believe, released today. I’m gonna get it right after school.
I’ve been seeing a lot of advertising around for this Blu-Ray! There was a paper about it in the Tangled Blu-Ray, and there was a mini-article about it in People magazine.
Hello everyone !
Yes, I’m still alive. And I’m back, with a vengeance…
So, today I received my copy of The Incredibles in Blu-Ray. So far perfect. But - surprise - on the version I got (and to my knowledge the only version that was released in France), there’s only one disc. That means not all the new special features are available here. That’s pretty bad, right ? It gets worse. A lot - and I do mean a lot - of the special features that are on the 2 DVD set are not on the Blu-Ray. Get this : the only DVD special features still on the Blu-Ray are : the 2 audio commentaries. The 2 shorts (Jack-Jack Attack and Boundin’) with their commentaries. And… THAT’S IT ! What is this ? A bad joke fom Disney France ? Maybe it’s a late April Fool prank.
Okay so, could everyone that has bought the Blu-Ray in the US or wherever you are in the world please tell me what’s on your copy ? To see if only France is being robbed or not. And maybe you can advise me on what I could do. Should I contact Pixar ? Do someone know if a better version is to be released here one day ?
Thank you in advance
So I was at best buy yesterday, looking for the TI Blu-ray. And I saw that it was 35 bucks. So I went to the front of the store and I saw my best friend there. He gave me a discount, so I only had to pay 25 dollars.
Anyways, I popped in the blu-ray in my PS3 and I LOVED IT!!! So many features, so many commentaries that I saw and loved.
The Nomanisan Island tour made me want to go there! It felt like a really cool place to go to. SO many activities. Not a bad vacation spot, if it existed. Pixar went all out on this. Even on the menu, I saw a Violet and Dash reference. NOt the mention the food on the menu sounded good too.
The commentaries, roundtable discussion, and extras were really fun to watch. The guys are really funny. I had myself a lot of laughs. Made me really appreciate them making such an amazing movie.
TSS: $10, that’s a good deal! I’m very happy that you enjoyed the Blu Ray so much!
Well, i didn’t have to pay $10. It was a $10 dollar discount. But yep, it was totally worth it.
Just picked up both The Incredibles and Cars Blu ray for a discount of $10 at Best Buy, on top of another 2 Disney coupons ($10 for The Incredibles, $8 for Cars). Came out to about $23 for both, and as if it’s not sweet enough, now I get two vouchers for Cars 2 ($8.50 each) from the blu rays. So I’ll end up paying like $6 for two awesome awesome blu ray. How crazy is that?
Dude, high five pricklepants! Deals at best buy are so useful.
Is there anybody else who wasn’t that impressed with the HD look for this movie? I have all of Pixars films on Blu-ray. The Incredibles was the only one that didn’t impress me once I put it in and started watching it. It looked very sterile to me.
I still don’t own this Blu-ray, but I’ve read excellent reviews in web sites. You’re the only one I know that didn’t like it.
You didn’t like it huh? I can understand that. That’s kinda new though, because i have always heard of great reviews of the TI Bluray.
The scenes when they are in the jungle are pretty cool. But for the most part, the movies colors don’t look vibrant to me like the other Pixar films in HD. It’s cold and sterile IMO. But I still love the movie, and the roundtable was great. I wonder what did John do to convince Disney to give them the go ahead. And I wonder do they ever have those problems these days.
Are you wondering what John Lassiter did to convince Disney to give The incredibles the green light to get into production?
Yes. You got the inside scoop?!
Not really the inside scoop, but durrin gthe Incredibles roundtable discussion, thy were talking about how it got started and how it was hard to convince disney to do the film because not only it can be done in live action, but to make it would be ground breaking for animation.
Hey everyone. Were you a dumbo like me and missed out on the incredible (pun intended) Best Buy offer/coupon fiasco for Cars/The Incredibles last month?
Well, if it’s any consolation, Amazon has a “Buy Both get $10 USD off” deal going on, you can grab both for about $40. I finally took the plunge myself. I probably could have found them cheaper, but eh…I’ve never owned The Incredibles in any format and I’ve been looking to upgrade Cars for a while. Now I just need A Bug’s Life and I’m set until Cars 2/Finding Nemo release.
And it’s been a while since I’ve been around here! The forums look great!
Mykonos_Fan! Oh my gosh! It’s been too long! I remember ya and we all missed ya! Cool to see someone familiar on the boards!
My TI Blu-ray came in the post today, and, although I only saw 10 minutes before having to go to work, it does look stunning! I’ma happy bunny now!
has anybody seen this cover before, it looks so different than the ones I’ve seen before:
