Well, I used be all covered in fluff,
and
I danced here showing my stuff,
but then . . . . (forgot this part)
and now
I’m here right in the buff.
And if that’s not enough –
people think I look ridiculous,
funny, and
pink!
Pink? Pink? Well, what wrong with being pink?
Sounds like you have a pink kink in your
think!
Yeah, that’s straight from memory!
Kinda rings Dr. Seuss
don’t cha think?

I listened to this exactly five
times and then I got it memorized.
I couldn’t agree more! And I love how the jackalope, of course, doesn’t
technically exist- it adds something whimsical to the short.
I don’t see the link to Dr. Seuss. All of the
animals are actually real animals. Even a jackalope.
I thought the jackalope was just a play on jack rabbits and antelopes…
What I really meant was just the rhyme schemes and play on words
“pink kink in your think” see what I mean? ![]()
This was a fun little short, although it kinda juxtaposed* with The Incredbiles
in mood. Hey, Stanley’s in it, so I’m not complaining!

things alongside each other with the intent of showing sharp contrast.
Very
true, though they did have a connection: Bud Luckey. It was the first PIXAR Short that he wrote and directed, as
well as voiced (narrator, jackalope, & lamb).
And in The Incredibles he
played Agent Rick Dicker, who also played a cameo in Jack-Jack
Attack
Luckey’s just all OVER in that TI DVD! (Not to mention they even have a tribute to
him!)
I was never a fan of the songs in movies, so this makes this one of my “lesser”
favourite shorts. Doesn’t mean I hate it, just means I don’t watch it everytime I have my Incredibles DVD
out.
Yeah, wasn’t there a part in like the
commentary of Boundin’ or something, when they were saying how Boundin’ just WAS Bud Luckey, and that
throughout making The Incredibles, they were keeping him in mind.
That’s true. In fact, I think one
of the earliest pitches in Boundin was Rick sitting on the porch of his house with a banjo, singing to the tune
of Boundin’.
What are your guys thoughts on Boundin’
I’m with you on this one.
It’s a pretty good short in its own right, but in the end I just think that the movie-based shorts should be the
only ones with dialogue. “Boundin’” is certainly my least-favorite Pixar short… Plus, I don’t
think it quite matched their other shorts in terms of humor; this one seems more like a nursery rhyme or a fable
or something, which isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s just not as much to my taste. It seemed that when the use
of voice was added, they sort of succumbed to “force-feeding” us, if you will, the moral of the short,
moreso than with their others.
I loved it. It has grat music and the animals were
adorable.
I haven’t seen it in a while I must admit, so I’ll go and watch it later to
carry on the discussion. ![]()
Boundin is
my second favorite short.
That is one of the
funny short Films ever. ![]()
Yea you got
it right it is the funny is one!!
