heres the cars 2 soundtrack cover
Completely and utterly not surprised about how the Cars 2 CD cover looks like. I’m sure eventually, the DVD and Blu-ray cover will also look like a variation of that Cars 2 promotional poster.
Anywhoo, shifting gears, there’s an interview with Michael Giacchino, posted on Collider, if anyone is interested. The interview was apparently done a while ago, but only posted today. They’ll post a different interview with Pixarians every Sunday leading to the release of Cars 2. Last week, it was Denise Ream, the producer.
I think it’s a nice cover. I like how it’s tilted.
Meh, it’s a decent cover. No big deal but what do you expect? It’s basically just the movie logo like the last one. I don’t mind it.
I think it’s good. Pixar has made nicer but it’s an appealing image and eye-catching.
Wow, how incredibly hardworking of the soundtrack cover artists. But hey, most soundtrack covers are simple logos or the teaser posters anyway.
I’m hoping the DVD will have a different cover art (which is almost always the case for most movies).
I really don’t care,I’m more concerned with what’s on the CD itself…
Cars 2 soundtrack has 26 tracks total including Michael’s score.
New songs will feature atrists Brad Paisley and Robbie Willaims performing as a duet on the song called “collision of worlds”
another new song is called “nobody’s fool” performed by Brad.
I can’t wait for the track samples to come up on Amazon.
I might start believing in 2012…Bryko puts a happy smiley on something Cars related? My word…LOL just kiddin…
It’s Mike Giacchino, how could there not be a smiley face involved?
True…very true…
Far-out! Lookin’ forward to Michael’s score as always, and the song included should lovely as well. I recognize Perfume!
Dad-gum!! It’s gonna be an awesome CD to have!
The first Cars CD was amazing - the Cheryl Crow song Real Gone that highlighted the opening race worked brilliantly both in the film and as a great driving song in the car. The instrumentals were mixed in with wonderful vintage songs like Sh-Boom and Route 66 that my family would often sing to on road trips on our version of the great American vacation. Behind the Clouds, Life is a Highway, good stuff!
This? There’s nothing there. I really noted the lack of a quality soundtrack in this movie. There’s a Wheezer cover of You Might Think, and Collision of Worlds which was simply meh. And that’s it.
I certainly don’t expect animated movies to have soundtracks that feature heavily in my play collection, and the first Cars was a wonderful exception. But to fall so short of that is just another way that this is an incredibly disappointing film.
I’ll pass.
I cant say I was all that into the songs. But I got the soundtrack for the score which is pretty good I especially love the theme that plays whenever Finn is onscreen

You’re talking about the songtrack, not the soundtrack.
I liked the song & soundtrack of Cars more than Cars 2, but that’s just my personal preferance. Which is odd, because in general I perfer Giacchino to Newman.
Agreed. There was nothing about the song and soundtrack of the sequel that I really thoroughly enjoyed. It was good but nothing that stuck in my memory after leaving the film. I don’t even have a real desire to buy the soundtrack.
