Cars 2- First Official Trailer.

I know I wasn’t much a fan of the original Cars, but no one else has posted about this and I thought a lot of people would want to know about/see this, so here we are.

So Leon what do you think of the Trailer?I thought it was OK…

Wow, now I’m even more excited. This is looking even better than the first film. Can’t wait for it.

And thanks for posting it Leon. If if you didn’t like the first, maybe you should give this one a chance. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, it sure doesn’t look like the original Cars, but I like it! (Mostly because I like Japan) I’m really excited for this.
goes into my room and writes “I Will Avoid All Spoilers” 100 times

I wasn’t even remotely impressed, personally, but I didn’t like the core of the first film and this looks to be more of the same but with more action and…secret agents…oh god, this is gonna be so corny, and not in a cute or funny way…I hate being pessimistic sometimes x.x

It’s ok…I’m a pessimist too… :stuck_out_tongue:

I will give it the benefit of the doubt and go and see it, but I’m not excited for it at all.

Also, another thing that made Toy Story almost a Legacy is that it’s the only one that has truly been acclaimed to have a sequel. Now with another Pixar film getting one (and this also applies to Monsters Inc 2)… it just ruins the whole idea of Toy Story being the most special. (Up is my favourite overall but you get my point) I don’t know about you guys but that;s how I feel.

yeah, I agree! ^

It was alright. Nothing really stood out at me, and I didn’t really laugh. I hope for a little more from the next trailer.

Leon K Fox- Why is Toy Story the most special for having sequels, exactly? A story is about quality, not quantity. Now, granted, Toy Story was a great trilogy, but being a trilogy doesn’t make it special. Being the first CG full length animated feature? Yes. Being Pixar’s first film? Yes. I don’t see how having sequels makes it “special” or “better.” Some movies get sequels. Some don’t. It also depends on the direction (Andrew Stanton isn’t big on doing sequels, for example.)

Anyways, I knew I’d come here and be the only one who loved it. sob

This looks like the most ridiculous thing ever.

I want to see it. right now.

Way to go Pixar! This film looks incredible! I guess I have to see every James Bond film ever made now…

The trailer was pretty boring in my opinion. :-\ But I did enjoy the background music. "First is the worst second is the best", hoping this is true.

It was good, not great. It doesn’t explain the story nearly as well as the TS3 trailer, and there were a lot less jokes (or at least ones that I found funny), the only ones I laughed at were “Tow Mater: Average Intelligence” and the one at the end with Mater going in the girls’ bathroom. :stuck_out_tongue: The animation looks so sharp and incredible, however…

I want to see some of the older characters (Sally, Doc, Sheriff, etc.) And I hope the racing or secret agent stuff isn’t too over the top… maybe that’s why it didn’t really hit me…

But I shouldn’t be complaining, The beginning of Cars seemed like nothing more than a racing movie, but I was wrong, and loved it. Plus, Pixar hasn’t steered us wrong yet.

I’ll bet $5 that the rumored Planes is the movie-based short on the Blu-ray of Cars 2.

The only thing that disappoints me from the trailer is that there’s no Sally Carrera. I really really hope she does not go the way of Bo Peep in this sequel, she was one of the highlights of the first Cars.

Finally someone else besides me who say’s the same thing…she’s too important of a character to throw away… :imp:

I really doubt they’ll throw Sally away. Pixar knows how awesome their original characters are. Plus, Luigi and Guido have to see Lightning race foreign cars! It’s all they talk about! I’m sure Sally and the others will be there in some capacity.

I’m trying to be optimistic about Cars, but there’s a little worrying voice at the back of my mind that just won’t go away. There’s a fine line between ridiculously awesome and ridiculously cheesy, and Pixar has to tread it carefully for this film to work. It’s a gamble, to be sure, but come June, we’ll probably be stuffing these words into our faces anyway

Trailer feedback - I love it, guys!

So yes…I do realize that Cars hasn’t been our most…well-received movie…but we’re hoping maybe you guys might warm up to the international adventure…sounds like some of you are! The teaser doesn’t give you full detail of the entire cast…but we have some pretty additions (and mainstays). Do any of you recognize the voice of the British spy car?

Woah! Didn’t know we had media research here. Hi! (How do you get that kind of job anyway?)

Didn’t recognize the voice, but I’m not a voice expert by any means. I’ve got a feeling my mom would know; somebody from some ol’ spy movie, right?

Finn McMissile only has the most awesome voice ever! I’m so EXCITED for CARS 2!!!

Let me see… Is that any of the James Bond actors?

Well this is my first post, but here goes.

I thought it was okay. I’ve enjoyed every single Pixar film so far (even the original Cars), but this just seems to lack the spark. Too much Mater might be really annoying. However, if this is more of a satire on spy films I think it’ll be great.

I’ll hold off my full judgements until a final trailer, because I know Pixar is better than this.
