I would see it if there was one. Neither of the two upcoming Pixar sequels make sense to me, but I love the movies, so I’ll see them. I was just commenting that an ABL sequel is highly unlikely. It’s their lowest grossing film.
I’m more excited about Monsters, Inc. 2 than Cars 2. Not just because I like MI better, but I can see how they can continue the development and the themes of the original; Sulley juggling his responsibilities, his relationship with Boo, etc. but with Cars 2, Lightning went through a pretty solid metamorphosis. It’ll be interesting to see how they deal with making his character evolve, assuming they don’t put the spotlight on Mater as much as they seem to be.
I must say, and this has nothing to do with you guys, that I don’t like when people say a certain Pixar movie doesn’t “deserve” to have a sequel. As if the audience is the movie’s parents.
Up’s plot was totally wrapped by the end of the movie, so were WALL·E and Ratatouille, but I still can see those two working at some degree, but they would need to come with a VERY clever script to do that.
I know for a fact Ramone is. The guy who did his voice even said so. So since he’s returning, Flo will. If Flo is returning, Sally must because Sally was more important than her.
Oh my god, I’m so freakin’ excited! It reminds me a bit of the ‘Gadgets’ trailer for Toy Story 3, but I really dig the espionage theme they’re going with (I’m a huge fan of spy films and TV shows). I really thought they were going to reveal [spoil]Finn McMissile[/spoil], but oh well, I guess it’s nice to see Lightning and Mater again.
I swear, Pixar keeps reading my mind. First they made a movie about talking cars, something which I’ve always wished for since I’m a fan of car movies. Now, they’ve added a spy element to its sequel, and they’re going international (something which I hoped for if they made a sequel). Now if there’s a car chase in this, my life will be complete.
Just worried that they’re now releasing a teaser this late, but hopefully they’ll pull out a new trailer soon.
The concept art is nice, though we’ve already seen the Tokyo one before. I can’t wait to see what satirical spin they put on the exotic locations, much like they did for Tokyo Mater.
I wonder it the music is trailer-specific or if it’s actually from the soundtrack! This is so wicked awesome, with Brad Bird’s M:I:4 and Cars 2 next year, it’s going to be one massive secret-agent summer!
