What so you guys think of my sig?
I’ll post this over at the Cars 2 central discussion. For those who liked Cars 2, we should go on RT and give it the rating it actually deserves.
I said the same thing as your sig and Cars 2 is not as bad as everyone is saying it may be Pixar’s new weakest film but it deserves more then it is currently getting…
Your sig is awesome, pixarfan91.
Anyways… RT comparing it to other Pixar films is silly, but… as a Pixar fan, I have to ponder it for a moment.
I liked Cars 2, but I won’t deny the storytelling was weaker than the standard Pixar film. While that isn’t saying much bad when compared to other animated films, a part of me asks “what went wrong at Pixar” all the same, you know?
Maybe critics are frustrated because Pixar had the potential to polish this up a little more. Again, I think it’s gotten rather harsh because of this attitude, but I can see where they’re coming from as to how they feel.
I just pointed it out and said “I like that sig!” and then I read this. I saw it, and yes it wasn’t their best movie ever, but it was most certainly not deserving at all of the rating it got. Critics were just waiting for this day to come.
People have been waiting to tear Pixar apart since the day it became the unstoppable force that it is…And this was the day they got to do it I really hope Monsters University and Brave are good if not Pixar is in for Hell from critics and fans alike.
It’s not even close to Pixar’s weakest. Cars was Pixar’s weakest. This movie isn’t even close to Cars on that list.
I should state that this is my opinion so people don’t jump down my throat.
Was there a teaser for Brave?
In my opinion Cars was better then Cars 2 for the reason that it had heart and I look for movies that have heart in them…Not that Cars 2 did not have heart Cars just had more.
This! I loved Cars for the country-ish feel and old town and the plain old good heart. It didn’t have that much emotion in this, which doesn’t make it bad, just not my cup of tea. And I missed Lightning! He wasn’t in it enough
I think I liked Cars because it takes place in a small place. Small towns can be fun. I was also 15 and could get a permit so I was excised about that.
I think this will be the new big Pixar fandom debate.
I mean, Cars and Cars 2 are such DIFFERENT movies. I personally liked Cars the first more, but it really seems like a matter of taste.
Yeah I just hope the guys at pixar do not take it to hard.
cars 2 was way to fast paced…went by quick…to quick that i needed to breeth…the reason why it went by quick, imo, is because everything is thrown at you (story parts) in such a fast way, that it left me slowly absorbing and a little confused at times what was happening. idk…this film is no pixar charm…i was dissapointed…
BUTTT it was entertaining and i enjoyed it. cars 2 does not deserve a 30 on rotten tomatoes…my gosh…but it also doesn’t deserve an 80 or above for that matter. it deserves somewhere to be over 60’s, to be fresh. saying its rotten isnt fair. the story line was quite original. but freshness is at least well deserved for this film.
I think it deserves the mid 80s. This movie was indeed a Pixar film in my opinion.
Exactly it should be fresh at the very least this is why it is so bad to be held so high up Because then you make one tiny error and the world takes note of it.I would give it either a 60 or 70 at max
Like I said before, if this quality of a movie had been released by anyone else, it would have been critically acclaimed so much.
I also agree had this been Dreamworks fireworks would have shot out of a midgets butt and everyone would have done back flips…Really suck when your so good then when you try to make a fun movie everyone attacks you.
Dreamworks isn’t bad either. I dislike it when people don’t give them the reviews they deserve either just because they’re Dreamworks.
See? Both studios have faults.
I have loved Dreamworks’ latest films like KFP2 and HTTYD!
