there is a CArs 2, I would love to see the delienquent road hazard cars in a like a little cultural spin-off (ex:
Pimp my ride, fast and furrious, etc)
I really hope Pixar has plans for the gang! I
mean in the actual film wingo, dj, boost, snot rod just appeared for only a little while, cars like that should
have their share of the fun, in the epilogue, they get arrested and then they are seen pushing bessie! a spinoff,
wow that would be great!
Chances are, if the DRHs came back, then they would probably have the same
screentime like last time.
Yeah… seeing as how Paul Newman has retired, I don’t think there will be a sequel anytime
soon, but of course, I’ve been wrong before. Anyway, I seriously don’t think there is any need for a
sequel.

I have still not been entirely convinced that there will be a Cars 2. So I did a little digging and talked to a few friends and one of my friends emailed Michael Wallis (Sheriff) and Michael said that in August at a Lincoln Highway signing event in San Francisco of his, a few Pixarians attended and he raised the question of a sequel, and they said they had no plans currently for one. And this is Michael Wallis, their Route 66 expert, and I think he probably would be one of the first if there were plans for a Cars 2, to know.
That’s my bit of evidence as to why it is not 100% certain that here will be a Cars 2, yet
Well, I for one am glad there is not going to be a Cars 2. Hopefully we can stop entertaining this idea now.
Out of all the possible Pixar sequels to be made, Cars would be near the bottom of the list to deserve a sequel as it wasn’t the best Pixar movie, or the strongest. But most of the time whenever evidence is posted disputing a Cars sequel, like the one bawpcwpn provided, it falls on deaf ears anyway…

Sorry, guys but I’m glad this isn’t happening!
As much as I’m obsessed with the movie, I don’t think it the right time to make a sequel. I mean look the year difference between Toy Story and Toy Story 2. They are a few years apart, so if they do decided to do a sequel hopefully it would be in a few years.
Sorry, martini: We haven’t heard anything that conclusively states it isn’t happening - just that a main star of the first one hasn’t heard anything about it yet. That doesn’t mean it’s not, though.
Okay. 
Well that’s not really what I mean, I dont care if they ahve a sequel in say 8 years but I’m so glad it’s not happening NOW now because I’d rather see fresh new stories plus The Incredibles and Monsters, Inc deserve a sequel waaaaaaaaay more (that’s just my opinion though).
