Cars thoughts

I just finished Cars for the second time and I can honestly say I liked it even better this time.

I liked Rattitouie (sp) but the characters were not as lovable as Cars characters. I get the impression with Cars that I’d really like to visit Radiator Springs and meet them. They really ‘live.’ I guess that’s why I’m inspired to write and read fanfiction about them.

I felt the same way when I watched Monsters Inc and a little less when I watched the Incredibles. I didn’t get that feeling with Ratattouie, Finding Nemo, or A Bug’s Life.

It’s like the characters want to go on living after the movie is over.

Does that make sense, or do I sound crazy?

You make perfect sense to me and yes I do live there (Radiator Springs) in my imagination…hehehe

Stupid as this may sound… when i die I rather go to Radiator Springs than Heaven!!!

You and me both, brotha!!! :-D)

Yeah, me too. Maybe the powers that be let you choose your own heaven…

if so, I’ll see you guys there. I’ll be the light purple camarro.

BorntothePurple: I don’t think that is crazy thoughts right there. If you love cars so much, one would tend to think that way.

That makes perfect sense. It’s like, the story doesn’t exactly end, and the characters are so enjoyable, that you want them to live on forever. At least, that’s how I look at it.

:open_mouth:

Ehem. Yeah, I’m just kidding. Heheh. Carry on… :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, let me be perfectly honest here and say I don’t know how anybody could think the characters in Cars were more enjoyable than those featured in Ratatouille. I’m sorry, I just don’t see how.

The characters in Rattetouie were enjoyable too. I guess they just didn’t effect me the same way the Cars characters did. Cars was much more emotionally moving than Rattetouie. I really felt for those characters, especially Doc. They seemed like real people to me.

Rattetouie just wasn’t the same. It was as good a movie but in a different way.

COUNT ME IN! 8D

I totally agree; the Cars characters give me that same loving feeling for them!

I never thought I would just absolutely fall in love with characters like it did for Cars. I mean I went apes*** for Toy Story when it came out, I love the characters but I really emotionally connected with the characters in Cars. And I never thought I’d be telling people I have a four wheeled boyfriend…that would be SnotRod…Heehee.

Don’t get me wrong ratatulie was a good movie, but i like the charaters in Cars better, beacuse the personilitys were more like mines, and I like Sally more that I like Colette :stuck_out_tongue: ,and those are my favorite charaters in each movie.

Yup I want to be a car character (me as my car) in Radiator Springs, that will be my heaven!!!

First let me say I am not knockin on Ratatouille, but I think there was better character development in Cars than Ratatouille. In Cars they explained a little bit of history on the characters so you can relate to them better. But wiht Ratatouille I wish they gave more history on some of the characters especially Linguini and Colette.

I agree with that. We got a lot of Remy’s backstory, which was great, and he was a great character…but nothing at all for Colette. I would’ve liked to know more about her.

^^ Ya she said “[spoil]I have worked too hard for too long[/spoil]” I’d like to see how she got to where she is now, just a 1 min scoop would have been fine.

I was just curious when lighting said he can’t go just yet and stayed to help everyone in town… had Mack and the media not come to get him, was he planning to leave and go to the race?

Oh boy, that is definetely a hard question. I think that Lightning would really, really want to stay, but he knew in the back of his mind that he had to go compete in the piston cup final. I think he would’ve gone after he helped, and a little more.

BorntothePurple: I agree with you. Most of Ratatouille’s characters were great, but the character development in Cars was much stronger.

Paris is a wonderful city… very pretty and luxurious, yes. But when you get down and dirty in a small town like Radiator Springs, things just feel more alive. I appreciated the smaller, simpler things a lot more in life after watching Cars. It just… touched me more. You just wanna hug every single character… they’re unique in their own way, yet they share the same vision of a town like they had in the old day. It doesn’t get more real than that.

Aaargh, this movie is so awesome!!
