I wouldn’t say you’re the only one, because I know it isn’t true, but you’re on the minority, at least in the forums.
I was only referring to the users on the forum.
I am, too.
Other users have expressed they like those jokes, but most haven’t.
That has got to possibly be the worst Pixar Trailer or T.V. Spot ever. I absolutely hate it. (I mean no offence to anyone who liked it, it’s just my opinion)
That video was lame.
It wasn’t THAT bad. I just disliked how it inserts the humor in places where it doesn’t belong. I hope we get future TV spots that focus more on story and emotion rather then antics of the characters.
I’m not watching anymore clips or anything else. I have seen enough of the movie as is. I almost ruined the ending of Toy Story 3 for myself and I don’t wanna do it again.
Here’s a new spot/clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPpf3yIVpN8&feature=player_embedded
I just got my copy of The Art of Brave! It’s certainly given me a much greater appreciation of the film, and I don’t feel nearly as bad about the whole Brenda Chapman issue anymore; her story and characters still seem to shine through. I’ll write a bit more about it soon.
I got mine days ago. Amazing stuff!
GASP! The book is out already?!
After writing that ^ I went ahead and checked Amazon to see if my textbooks had been returned, and sure enough a gift card was waiting to be redeemed. With shipping the book only cost me $1.19.
Unfortunately, I still have to wait a few days to receive it. Boo! I think flipping through the pages will make me even more thrilled for the film.
I’m working on updating front page of forum, and my sig that is way late.
I closed the pixar planet tab, and never noticed until now lol. Anywho. Also Brave got its own forum I see.
@Queen, yep. Been out since May 22. My mom preordered it for Christmas, along with La Luna, and the Art of the Toy Story Films, but that’s not out 'til August.
That clip was much better.
That clip was good. I’m really liking the characters.
This film seems to rely heavily in slapstick, specially with the Lords.
All the recent clips are funny!
I don’t really like slapstick humor in a serious film. Stuff like Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback come to mind.
I’m still not fond of “Feast yer eyes!”
I think slapstick can be used in a serious film when done expertly. Ratatouille is probably Pixar’s best example of it.
Now that you mention Beauty and the Beast, I think that’s other one that does it nicely.
I’m not a fan of the Brave slapstick we’ve seen so far, but maybe there will be better instances in the film.
