Central Brave Discussion

I am currently trying to get all of Pixar’s films on Blu-Ray, aside from Finding Nemo, I only need Cars and Cars 2 on Blu-Ray. I have all of Pixar’s films on DVD except Cars 2 which I still need to get. So I’ll probably get both DVD and Blu-Ray.

Seperate oe combo?

Probably combo.

Yep. I’m definitely going to get it once it comes out on DVD.

I’ll probably get combo.

I might start collecting the blu-rays.

I might start doing it as well once Finding Nemo comes to Blu-Ray.

Apparently the Atlanta Braves are filing a lawsuit of some type against Pixar because of the use of the name Brave? They think “that damages will occur as a result of Disney’s trademarks being approved as they have used the singular form before on merchandise and insist it is common for fans, media, et. al. to use the singular form.” This is insane.

Who’s stupid enough to do that. The Braves owner must be an idiot.

This is amazingly stupid. Now you can’t even call a film a commonly used word without people trying to sue you.

So, Atlanta Braves, am I allowed to use the word “brave” at all or will I risk being sued? :unamused: It would be one thing if the movie had a more similar title to the team name, such as being titled The Braves, or if the movie referred to modern sports (such as being about a baseball team), but brave is a WORD! The baseball team didn’t invent it! Besides, I wouldn’t even worry about Pixar tarnishing their reputation… the team/representatives of the team are doing a good enough job of that with this ridiculous situation.

I love these lawsuits! They’re awesome for laughs.

That’s true ^^.

That’s just beyond stupid. If Pixar used the word “Braves”, then they might have a case.

I think even if it was Braves it would be a stupid thing. It’s a fairly common word, like most sports teams names.

True. I still think that the lawsuit placed on Pixar was pointless though.

I’m sure the Brave’s won’t win. The Judge will just laugh. I would laugh.

That’s probable ^^.

Brave looks like it could be a great film. It’ll probably be one of the least exissible Pixar films like Ratatouille.

I just don’t see a Judge or Jury dumb enough to agree witht he lawsuit. Then again, their was the Casey Anthony Case.
