I like those posters! Are they official? or drawn by a fan?
They’re official. They’ve enlisted an artist to make them on that style since the release of The Incredibles.
Guys, there are 2 Cars 2 trailers 3
one is from the USA, and the other is from the UK & Ireland and I guess international territories too:
the Cars 2 trailer from Irland is really IMPRESSIVE and it also has the best footages I’ve seen of a film,
I screamed and almost cried of happiness when I saw Sheriff, Red and Sally in there,
I am more excited than ever for an upcoming film
Those are beautiful posters Spirit! Thanks for posting t hem .The London and Paris ones are my favorites!
Geoff: I can’t wait to see the trailers when I get home to my computer!
Oh, yeah. The international one is one is even better.
And I bet the opening scene of the film (which I believe will be the part at sea) will be even more visually impressive than the Toy Story 3 train sequence.
I wonder have the opening score from the trailer (from 0:04 to 0:55)
from 0:40 to 0:55 is a real joy of excitement and adrenaline

from the International trailer
The trailer is AWESOME! I was even more mesmerized by the opening sea scene this time!
I still want to see Italy though! ![]()
I actually think the international trailer is pretty good. Certainly the best one yet. I’m still holding onto my theory that [spoil]Finn is going to pressure Mater to betray his friendship with Lightning and make him lose the race somehow in order to prevent the villains’ plans from going through[/spoil]. It would definitely work well with Finn’s line “Friendships can be dangerous in our line of work”.
i didnt realize there were gonna be that many pacer cars with professor z! this movie is looking good! Ya, i bet the spy scene in the beginning of the trailer will be the opening scene to the movie to introduce finn. that music sounds epic by the way. i cant wait to hear the soundtrack of this movie. i love michael giacchino!!!
I’ll eat my hat if the ocean scene is anywhere in the first 30 minutes of the film. No doubt they’ll spend a fair bit of time at the beginning to wind down the Radiator Springs arc, introduce the newest Piston Cup champion (Lightning McQueen!!!) and open up the World Grand Prix arc by bringing Lighting and his crew to Tokyo/London/Paris. The spy theme only kicks in after the races have started, maybe pretty deep into the race as well.
^ Doubt it.
I presume we’ll get a spy, action-packed scene in the opening, presenting Finn working solo.
Then we will go to the old characters, the Radiator Springs part and the the beginning of the races, before involving Finn with Mater.
Only thing that concerns me about that trailer is if Finn killed those cars in that explosion. Yeah I know: it’s a spy movie and it’s meant to look cool (plus they’re cars), but still.
Also, glad to see that short appearance of Sally, even from behind.
I have a question. :3
Why do they always put out a USA one then an international one?
The international one features some differences like putting “Coming soon” instead of the actual date, as the release is different on every country.
In some cases it also downplays the “American” aspect of the original (like removing USA flags, and stuff).
Thanks SOA! ![]()
Cool posters, SoA! I’d love to have them on my wall. Do you know whether they were drawn by the talented Eric Tan? He did the Wall-E and Up-retro style posters and this looks like his kind of style.
I am 99% sure that the music we heard in the opening is from the Vantage Point soundtrack. It is quite rare that music from the soundtrack is used in movie trailers, with rare exceptions like ‘Life is a Highway’ in the first Cars trailer and ‘Hot Wings’ in the Rio trailer. Most of the music used in trailers are sourced from either:
a) trailer music production houses like ‘Immediate Music’, ‘Two Steps From Hell’ (a popular choice with Pixar, they used some of the tracks for Up and Wall-E’s trailers) and ‘X-Ray Dog’, to name a few
b) other film’s soundtracks like HTTYD’s trailer using tracks from Dinosaur and True Romance’s soundtracks, or Wall-E using the popular Etta James number ‘At Last’.
So sorry Giachinno fans, but real credit should be given to Atli Örvarsson for the trailer’s opening music here…
Eric is the artist I was referring to in here:
I’m pretty sure the’re his. I’ve followed his art for a long time since his first involvement with Pixar and they certainly have his trademark style. A good thing too, since I don’t remember if he did any posters for the original Cars.
How many times are you seriously going to post that link? ![]()
