Central Cars 2 Discussion

And honestly, I don’t want it to be TS3. The first Toy Story was so silly and fun, then the third one…well, the tone is completely opposite. We’ll leave that there. I want Cars 2 to have some heart felt moments, but still stay true to the Cars fun spirit.

I actually thought the sad tone of TS3 was really fitting, as it was kind of a send off to not only the characters but to the audience since a lot of the people who grew up with the first ones are probably making a huge leap into adulthood as well.

But Cars only came out in 2006, so something like that really isn’t necessary yet.

Yes, but a leap like that isn’t appropriate for Cars was my point.

All CRITICS have been saying those lines all these years " NOT AS GOOD AS OTHER PIXAR FILM", that’s the typical excuse, I remember reading that quote on WALL-E, Up and Toy Story 3 REVIEWS, I’m tired of reading the same thing each year…

Seems that they CAN’T recognize how good is the product and always need to use that phrase, I’m sure most of us have noticed that before

GO Cars 2 !!!

My Prediction:

RT: From 82% to 92%

PS: Toy Story 3 ROCKS!!!

rotten tomatoes meter is at 86. 6 fresh, and still only 1 rotten.

I knew it would break 80!

The one rotten is from a bias person. Not very credible either, so it killed the freshness. Thanks, loser. I really dislike the people who just put low ratings on a movie when they didn’t see it just to kill the meter from going high up. Not saying that’s what he did, I’m talking about in general. That and the people who select “Not Interested” in the past when they barely showed a thing about the movie. Sadly, it’s from someone on this site and of course that person is bias as well because he/she doesn’t like Cars.

I can’t stand those people. Ugh. If there will be a rotten review, I want to see it if it wasn’t bias and had nothing to do with Mater. When I see one of those, then I’ll count it. Other than that, they don’t count to me.

I just know Cars 2 is going to do great! The majority of the reviews I’ve seen have been really good and an 86 is a nice score

Now it’s 7 fresh and 1 rotten.

Most reviews are praising the colors, pace, and spy themes. It all makes me even more excited to see Cars 2; it sounds like it will be very fun. After all, not every film, Pixar or otherwise, has to be emotional to be good. Though in any case, it looks like we’ll be getting some emotion on the side.

Since there’s already one rotten review, there’s going to be at least two. When do you guys think Armond White’s review will come out? And how badly misinformed while he be? (Lotsa Hugs? Seriously?)

(8 fresh, 1 rotten, 89%)

Kars 2, a glorified, drawn-out commercial, is flashing and blazing with enough neon to cause a heart attack in adults and a sugar rush in every child under the age of 7. Teenagers will be bored with the exploits of the rusty truck Tomato, and roll their eyes at the obvious Jame Bond-ripoff Finn McDonald. All that is certain is that this film, a sequel to the 2003 film Kars, is sure to sell boatloads of merchandise.

is that really what he said? wow…this guy never got hugs when he was a kid i guess…

GRARW. Must see movie now.
To add to the conversation, I believe a happy movie from Pixar once in a while is good. We really need to be lifted after Toy Story 3.

I’m sure it was a joke. 8D

Nice to see it’s close to 90%. Huge improvement over the first Cars. Now I think it’s time we can say, “In your face.” :stuck_out_tongue: HOWEVER, we still have the rest of the world to see it, so don’t freak yet!

Also, I haven’t seen one tweet, blog post, or anything from a regular viewer (not a critic) saying it was bad. It was only the people who are big at analyzing way too much of a movie are the ones who pointed out flaws. :stuck_out_tongue: And they even said that it’s not like they were huge flaws, just things they wish would be a bit different.

Like I said, the only bad I’ve seen were people comparing it too much to the first and complaining about Mater.

So I think that’s good news. Cars is finally getting the recognition is deserves.

On the other hand, I’m sure it’ll be a small tear-jerker for me because, well, yeah. I wouldn’t want to see huge depressing stuff happening to my favorite characters, so I’m glad it’s going to be funny over melancholy. That’s not saying that sadder movies are bad, it’s just that I’m kind of sick of them. Not just from Pixar, but in general.

89%

I’ve read all the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and pretty much one of the only issues has been that Cars 2 isn’t as emotionally geared as some Pixar movies. I’m totally fine with that, and I’m even more excited since it seems like Cars 2 is going to be a fast paced movie.

Yeah, what I know of people’s criticism of the film, it seems like nothing that would bother me.

Yeah, just a joke  But the guy is always off the mark. He seems to like attention, yet never actually pays attention to the films he is reviewing. That’s why plenty of people are upset with him and others of his ilk. It’s not that they disliked the movie, but rather that they are unable to give any fair or accurate criticism. At the very least, they are incapable of writing of a review.

Seriously, watch him say something just like that for this movie. 8D Ah, as much as I hate that man, he is always good for a laugh(or a cry).

I’m so excited for this movie I can’t contain it!!!

I don’t even know who the guy is, but he sounds pretty mean.

Yeah, he just has no life so he bashes on the best movies ever created.

Does he ever have any good opinions?
