Let’s see… my thoughts so far on MU. I finally got to see the first teaser a week or two ago… surprisingly on Disney Channel, after expecting it to show on Brave and not seeing it then. It looks like it’ll be some kinda awesome! I think I’ve been waiting for another chapter in the Monsters series for nearly ten years, because nearly ten years ago, I saw Monsters Inc, which was my first Pixar film! And I recall going through a pretty rabid obsession with it and Pixar, even though I hadn’t seen any of their other films at the time! So due to my obsession, I let the possibility of a sequel or sequels cross my mind multiple times, and I had fun imagining up my own MI stories. I had read on a website a while back that this was supposed to be a sequel, but obviously that’s not the case. So yeah, Monsters University, the longest-awaited Pixar sequel/prequel ever, will be an absolute dream come true for a girl who is still obsessed with Monsters Inc!
Anyone know if Roz and Celia will be appearing?
On IMDB Celia is on the castlist but maybe they just put the castlist from Monsters, inc on it.
But i think she is and that we see how Mike and Celia met each other. i don’t know about Roz.
Maybe the Abominable Snowman is on the university too, i mean he has to return because John Ratzenberger is the voice!
@OWP, it was stuck with Brave for us.
You saw it on Brave, MTM? Did you see the 2D version? Because I saw the 3D version of Brave and the only Pixar trailer on there was Finding Nemo 3D. Funny thing is that after not seeing the Brave teaser on the 2D version of Cars 2 last year, I thought that maybe they only put a teaser for Pixar’s next film on 3D versions. So, I saw Brave in 3D and expected a MU teaser… oh well. At least I saw the teaser eventually!
I saw Brave both times in 2d, but I only saw the MU teaser once. It’s weird.
I gotta admit, this looks funny to me. I still have no idea what they’re gonna have the plot revolve around but the movie itself looks like fun. The original MI is still the funniest Pixar movie I’ve seen
Oh gosh this is probably just me being amused by everything really easily but I could not stop laughing at this teaser and especially at the ending. All of it was just gold and omg I can’t even wait for this movie to come out.
Which is kind of silly for me to say, since I didn’t care much for TS3 and had no interest in Cars 2, as both were sequels, but this one had my interest from the moment I heard about it. The teaser certainly didn’t disappoint as far as I’m concerned. 
I’m pretty pumped for this movie.

You had the same problem too, huh? That’s the whole reason I paid for the 3D tickets for Brave. All I got were a bunch of films I don’t plan to see other than Ice Age 4 and Wreck-It Ralph. I was confused when they played the theater’s logo without playing the trailer. I cheated, though, and saw it on the online premiere two days earlier just in case. I do plan to see it again (in 2D) and maybe I’ll see it.

Same here. Also, I would prefer for John Ratzenberger to play Yeti instead of a new monster just for old-time’s sake. Plus, Yeti’s a funny guy, even as an abominable snowplow. Maybe even the CDA! Also, I think that was Nick “Lanky” Schmidt next to Sulley in the teasers.
In additional news, I don’t know if this was confirmed or not, but Randy Newman will return to do the score. He’s even writing a new Monsters University song (fight song, I think).

Yay! Randy Newman! Gosh, I love Pixar’s composers… 
And I look forward to meeting the new monsters and maybe getting to know other future MI scarers. I’ve heard that Dave Foley is supposed to be a voice in MU, and that has made me quite excited; I love Dave Foley’s voice ever since I saw ABL and the Prep and Landing specials. I’ve also always wondered if there are any girls in the business of scaring kids. And while it’s highly unlikely, I really wish that Smitty and Needleman would be in it… but they probably were still kids at this point in time!
I read Yeti will be in it. I don’t know how he will. Yeti stories have been around for years on end, not sure if their’s supposed to be more then one.
Not watching if Randy Newman is composer. Guess I have to wait for Finding Nemo 2 to see a good Pixar movie again.
And if I ever hear a Randy Newman fight song I will throw 600 TV’s out a window to a pavement grave.

What do you guys think Mike’s face will be covered with this time? I see his face covered on a photo or something.
Yes, that’s a gag I’m pretty sure they’ll repeat.
As for what they’ll use to cover him, it could be virtually anything, so I won’t try to guess.
