Epic Mickey
Scott Pilgrim Bluray
Secret of Kells Bluray
Back to the Future trilogy Bluray
A Bug’s Life Bluray
Star Wars trilogies on DVD (I’ve only seen a couple of the movies, embarrassingly)
I gave my parents a huge list of stuff to make gift-giving easy depending on where they want to shop and how much they’re willing to spend. Almost everything on the list was a book or DVD/Blu-Ray relating to animation.
I’d really like it if they made me vegan sweets or baked goods, but they’re probably never going to do that. I asked my boyfriend to give me something handmade, and I believe he did as such!
Bryko: I hope you get the Secret of Kells Blu-Ray! Love it! Geoff: I have Pixarpedia, I hopes you get it!
Well, I basically asked for a plane ticket to New York City. And only that. But my parents said they wanted me to pay for my plane ticket, because they didn’t want me to get nothing tangible on Christmas.
So I asked for
*Toy Story 3 Blu Ray (Yep still don’t have it)
*iTunes Card (I needs more music)
*Drawing supplies. Special papers, pencils, erasers, ink, charcoal
I don’t either! It’s kinda made me feel ashamed, as I used to buy Disney/Pixar releases the day they came out in stores. However, this school semester I ran out of funds! Durn. Your wishlist sounds like something I’d want. If you receive too many drawing supplies, send the extras on over to me.
queen_of_painting: lol, there’s no such thing as too much drawing supplies! And I know, it makes me feel bad that I still don’t have the TS3 DVD yet, but I bought Princess and the Frog the day it came out! If only money really did grow on trees!
That’s nice that you’re boyfriend will get you something handmade, did you get him something special as well?
-Toy Story 3 on DVD
-A few miscellaneous action figures from movies/books (Corpse Bride, Dahl’s Gremlins, etc.)
-A certain plush doll of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas
-The Coraline soundtrack
-Cats Don’t Dance DVD (if you can believe it, I only just saw that movie a few months ago thanks to YouTube)
Hmm, sort of. I’d like to make him some sweet treat, but he’s not a big fan of those. He likes receiving my artwork, so I’ll have to see what I can put together at my mom’s house (I don’t think I have all my brushes here… but I wanted to buy a new watercolor set anyway).
There’s something about getting animation-related things for Christmas that I just love. It’s nostalgic but not childish. I mean, I’d get more excited over a cool $30 animation book than I would a fancy $200 electronic dingymajigger.
I just want enough money to go to the movies. I really don’t care about anything else. But I’ll die if I don’t get to see my Jeff Bridges double feature before New Year’s. And I’ll be horribly upset if I end up completely missing Black Swan.
I’m almost desperate enough to watch Black Swan by myself while I’m back home in Chicago for break. I doubt it’ll be shown in any theater near my university.
queen_of_painting: I have to agree with you. I’m more excited to get animation related stuff for Christmas than I was when I was 5. I’ve always been an oddball like that . My family is accepting of it though, my dad is a big Hanna-Barbera and Looney Tune fan. And don’t get me started on my mother, a HUGE Disney freak! (She was a Disney wall and a Disney tree).
But my other family members don’t understand my animation enthusasim and think I’m weird. But at least my aunt bought me a copy of WALL-E last year!
I’ve completed my Christmas list earlier this month. I actually spent most of my money on just average everyday accessories that I run out of around the house.
new watch
AA batteries
large storage bin
plug in extension
CD-R disks for saving
new speakers for computer
As far as the media stuff goes I got:
Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear DVD Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales Blu-Ray
VHS to DVD software (something I wanted to have if there were ever any commercials on old VHS recordings I wanted to preserve and that sort of thing)
digital camera (which I have yet to get connecting with my computer properly)
Yep, I can’t wait to report back here! And I’m having two Christmases, because my Aunt and Uncle and their kiddies are coming here to clebrate with us next week.
Will it be the hap-hap-happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny Kaye?
I sincerely hope that I don’t get a snuggie or a chia pet this Christmas. If I do all I’ll be able to say is “That’s pretty low, mister. If I had a rubber hose, I’d beat you into a…”
If you can’t tell that’s something else I want for Christmas. To enjoy the hilarious antics of the Griswolds with the fam.
I already got my Christmas gift. I got a new laptop. It kicks my desktop’s butt.
If I were to ask for anything else, it would be laptop accessories. They aren’t necessary, but I don’t know what to ask for. I already got what I wanted.
