Christmas Plans

I know it’s a little early,

but…

What do you plan to do for Christmas?

Me? I just intend to lay

around by the fire, sipping hot chocolate and enjoying the time that I have with my family. I’ll probably slip

in a donut or two into my breakfast while I open my presents – heheh.

What is on your

Christmas wish list?

Here is my list:

Either:

1) A rat

or

2) An

iPod

That’s all I want. Chances are…I won’t get the rat – mom has said “no” too many times

to boot, even though I keep politely asking her for one. (snigger)

Spill it out.

This Christmas my family will probably just stay home again. As for

presents I really don?t care what to get unlike past years. I?ll probably be giving a lot of presents

out to my family of 8 though.

Possibly I’ll be dragged to my grandma’s house to be told how incredible my

cousin is and I’ll be belittled to no end. Oh joy.

All that’s on my christmas list at the moment is …

well, anything Disney/Pixar that I don’t have rocks my world. Can’t be too particular with my parents. I hope

to get Sims Pets though I was supposed to ween myself off of those addicting games.
I’m supposed to get a

subscription to this expensive Animation magazine. But I dunno when that’ll be …

Well, it is a little early. I don’t know what I have planed. Or what my family is planning.

BUt I do know what I want.

Incredibles stuff
money
Disney on Ice: A Disneyland Adventure

Tickets

JV - Cool. Yeah,

that’s what I mostly do every Christmas now, too. It’s more giving then getting.

FONY - Oh dear – that’s too bad. I’m sorry that you can’t spend time

with a more…umm…“suitable” crowd, so to speak. Well, perhaps you will get some Pixar stuff and some

addictive games to make up for it.

The Star Swordsman - Heheh – early,

indeed. I figured that I may as well cut to the chase… (snigger)

Wow – Incredibles stuff? I never

would have guessed. :stuck_out_tongue: I don’t blame you, though. I was asking for the same thing last Christmas. (heheh)

My sister is having her first baby around the Christmas holidays, and she lives in the U.S. whereas my

parents and I live in Canada, so you can imagine how hectic things will get when that time arrives. Because of my

school schedule, and the fact that baby dates are never set, I’ve decided to stay home while my mother drives

over to help her out. I guess I will take this opportunity to get a job and make some money to help pay my rent…

and maybe get some Christmas gifts. :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course, I will drop by my parents’ place so we can have our

traditional Christmas dinner, be it on Christmas or not. I can’t forget the Christmas tree and music! Those are

the best. It’s going to be a very interesting holiday, hehe.

WNow

that the Christmas holiday is comming up, why don’t we all share a memory of the Christmas holiday. It can be

funny, sad, or even joyous.

Grandma’s

place, as usual. It’s not bad, but I could definitely use a little more excitement and try out something not

so… traditional. But it’s family, and I’m very happy to still have them all here with me and spend the

holidays with them. So, yeah. Those are my plans every year. =)

Just don’t get me started on the Chrismas

shopping. Every year I swear that I’ll get it done early to avoid the last-minute shoppers and traffic chaos,

but of course, being the queen of procrastination that I am, I always end up doing it three days before the 24,

when they close every department store early. I’m one of those people the employees are trying to kick out so

they can close shop and leave. :3 I suck at being thoughtful, so buying a gift for anybody can be a real pain in

the rear end for me. I guess I kinda like the adrenaline rush of getting everything done at the last minute

possible, hoping I don’t get trampled to death at the mall by rabid shoppers and then racing home to wrap up the

gifts and scribble in a “to-from” note. :stuck_out_tongue:

BTW, this will be the first year we buy a fake

Christmas tree. We got sick of watering the thing and having to sweep up dead pine stuffs off the floor

everyday.

I’ll be at home with the singular family member I have

(discluding my cat, but she’s practically family, so make that two.)

I already know what I’m getting

for Christmas- a Nintendo DS Lite. We bought it ages ago because that kind of thing sells out so quickly at

Christmas.

Aggie - What an interesting Christmas yours will be, indeed! Have

fun, in any case!

The Star Swordsman - Good idea. I’ll just label the

yearly “traditions” my family and I follow every Christmas:

1)

Starting December 1st, set up the house with a few amenities: Christmas lights, Christmas music, decorations,

etc… As an added bonus, I recently announced to my entire family that I will be cleaning our

whole house on this date. Being a neat freak, I finally got sick of the messy

household and its contents. :stuck_out_tongue:

2) Buy the Christmas tree and struggle to get

it through the door for the next ten minutes. Vacuum up all the needles and then vaccum the whole living room

while at it (this will be my – or my mom’s – job).

3) Set up the

“stall”. Every Christmas, my sister and I, being the kids-at-heart that we are, will play the story of

Rudolph. My sister will be Rudolph and we’ll both be a few other anonymous reindeer. We even have a

“sleigh” that we pull.

4) Slowly pile up the presents…even

though there might not be many this year, due to budget cuts. Heh…

5)

Christmas Day. First, we wait until everybody is up. Dad will gather everybody around and then we will thank God

for always watching over us, and for giving us the time that we have together. Then, mom and dad will go out into

the frontroom, while my sisters and I will wait in the hallway, the hall door closed so that we can’t see

what’s going on. Then mom and dad will turn on the wacky Christmas music, open the halldoor, and we’ll come

bursting out. Let the fun begin!

Badda-bing. And the best part is, we actually get to light the fire

and have donuts for breakfast.

DoubleLatte - My goodness – nothing like

shopping at the last minute, huh? Heheh – well, I wish you a good one. Don’t wear yourself out.

lizardgirl - Cool. My family sometimes does that, too: we’ll buy presents

beforehand…and then we’ll already know what we’ll be getting for Christmas. Heheh. Have fun.

Oh I love the Christmas season! I like the warmth about it even though down in SoCal

it’s like. 75 degrees. Hopefully it’ll get chillier so I can wear my winter clothes.

I’m

planning to spend time with my family and especially my sister, who is in college now. And maybe some hang out

time with friends over the break. I’m hoping to do ABSOLUTELY NO work over the break. And hey, my science fair

is due before that… so hopefully this will work out.

For Christmas I want:

 1. Art of Cars and The

Incredibles books
2. a Wiiiiiiiiiii!! With a whole assortment of games following that.

There’s

probably more… but I don’t want to sound toooo greedy…

JamieLew - Haha – I hear

ya’. I live in in Southern Cal. as well, and it can get up to 100 degrees (or more) over here. I remember the

time we had that 85 degree Christmas – mom was furious, as she’s more of Canadian person. She likes the cold

weather.

I hope you get the stuff on your list, JamieLew.

I can’t imagine a warm Christmas, or a Christmas in

summer, like they have in Australia. It’s meant to be cold, with rain or, preferably, snow.

Lizardgirl:

Just imagine a regular summer day with Christmas lights and decorations all around the neighborhood. That is

Christmas in California.

But it isn’t the

same without grey clouds and constant drizzle!

I know. Sometime, my family and I travel north to have fun in the snow. But that is a rare

occasion. I only went up north 5-6 times in my life.

I absolutely agree!

All my life I have wanted a snowy Christmas. However…the sun disagrees here in

California… :stuck_out_tongue:

Not in No Cal. Snow, ski, snowboard, snowball fights, snowmen, snow mobiling.

Or the middle of California. I went to visit the town of

Big Bear once, and there was snow all over the place. Some of it was fake snow, but hey…it was snow! There were

mountains and real trees, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not really even quite sure if Big Bear is located near the center

of California. I will have to check the map again…

A snowy Christmas, and a grey, drizzling Christmas, are completely different.
