Christmas

I got some things, most of which I was aware of, but I’m happy for the ever-growing wad of money, Hamlet 2, and the sparkly globey bouncy bally thingy … x3 So now I shan’t crack my non-bouncy ones, hehe.

I’m easily content this year.

But I’m going to buy Horton Hears A Who, 'cause I just saw it tonight at my neighbors and … well, it’s cute.

I got this gorgeous thing.

I got a Wii!

My brothers have been trading off playing it all day. It makes me so happy that my Mii can wear aviator sunglasses, because I most definitely can’t.

Aight, here’s my lil haul. Not much as there was also a paid for trip to Disney World earlier this month.

Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland storybooks featuring art by Mary Blair
Mouse Under Glass book
101 Things you didn’t know about Disney World book
Felix the cat complete 1958-1959 series on DVD
Moneys

I got pretty much what I asked for, which is always good. The food was especially nice this year, for some reason. Gotta love having a chef for a mum! And my cat very much enjoyed the squishy new toy we got her, though it’s already been ripped to shreds.

Not only did I get the WALL-E DVD (with Digital Copy and millions of special features, as you all know), I got a new blue Toshiba Laptop to use whenever and wherever I want!

Now I can come on the fourm more often since I don’t have that crazy hour limit to computer time anymore! yay!

Oh, and for hanukkah (we do both since my stepdad is jewish) I got a puppy! HIs name is Recycled Todd (my mom calls his Re-Todd for short, but I don’t like to because people think I’m saying something else which is horrible to think that I would call anybody that!).

I also got these really cute sneakers, a pair of rainboots, cute eeyore pj’s from the disney store, tickets to see Mamma Mia when it comes to a theatre next to me, slippers, and a bunch of other stuff!

Merry day after Christmas! lol

I got an easel, 2 canvases, paint brushes, paintbrush cleaner, water color pencils, inking pens, 3 sketchbooks, a drawing tablet, Simpsons Dvds, A Dark Knight hoodie with a new pair of jeans, bath stuff that came with a radio, a new Ds game Spongebob Drawn to life. Michaels gift cards. And i think that’s about it. Christmas wasn’t to bad this year. ^^

I got an Samsung Instinct back in november, which was a birthday/christmas present.
What I actually opened on christmas was the first two levels of rosetta stone’s japanese course. I love it to death. I also got some nice dressy sweatshirts (wow that’s an oxymoron), a nice laptop desk, some bath stuff, and a little money. Heh, I also bought myself some games from work during employee appreciation weekend. Gotta save that money somehow

Would it be easier for you guys if I list what all I got?

Hey everone! Here’s the photos of what I “received” for Christmas. Sorry I couldn’t spread them out, this was the only table in the living room clear of stuff (and I don’t have my own desk in Singapore):

My all-time favourite Cars poster! It features everyone who appeared in the movie! Glad the merchandise shop had it, I couldn’t find it in Sydney!

The one I wanted of Wall-E and Eve on the bench in the moonlight (my ultimate favourite!) was sold as an Original Poster, which was the highest price range ($70+! :open_mouth: ). This one was my third-favourite (after the one with Wall-E staring at space on the junk heap, which is second on my rank, but because of this one’s rarity, I chose this instead), and was at least reasonably priced. I hope to earn my own dough so I can get the bench one (or at least find it at a cheaper price).

The piece de resistance! This was the more expensive than the other two, because of its finer paper quality and bigger size (it frustratingly keeps rolling back, and it spills over the table’s edge!). The Pixar ones were Value Posters ($10 each), but the Joker one was only available as a Commercial Poster ($25).
“Good eveeening, ladies and gentlemen!” :smiling_imp:

Can’t wait to hang them up in their full glory in my Sydney apartment. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Sweet posters, thedriveintheatre! Of course I like the WALL•E one the best, but they all have a nice design - you picked well.

Now thats its that time of year again, lets built this topic back up! I’m asking for a video camera,a microphone,a Blue Ray player (I doubt I’ll get this),Poltergeist DVD,Monk Season 7 DVD,Roller Coaster Tycoon,Halo Wars,Toy Story 2 Soundtrack, and Metalica’s album …And Justice for All

I’m asking for the Toy Story Collection Woody and Buzz. I’m also asking for Assassin’s Creed 2.

I dont celebrate Christmas but I have seen that Its really lost its “religious” values. Its all about a fat guy who throws gifts away. But how “religious” was Christmas anyway? Im not trying to be a scrooge voiced by Jim carrey XD just voicing myself here. GOD i love the “freedom of speech” idealism of America

I’ve never celebrated Christmas for the religious side of things, but rather my family and I have celebrated being able to spend a bit more time together, the giving of gifts and the eating of delicious food.

I’ve been nagging my mum to get a Christmas tree in by this weekend. It seems that everyone else has their decorations up but us, and I want the house to feel all Christmassy and nice!

Your not alone! We don’t have our Christmas Tree up yet, either. I asked my dad when he’ll put it up. And he said “When I feel like it” :imp:

Christmas is as religious as you want it to be I guess. For me being a Catholic, Christmas doesnt start until I attend the Christmas Eve Mass. Now, I myself am not very religious (in fact I only go to church a few times a year), but I do enjoy that service very much. So yes, Christmas for me has religious undertones, although I do love the secular festivity as well

Now I’ve read about non-Christians who celebrate Christmas (usually cuz they’re in a mixed-marriage or whatever) and just go along with the more general spiritual aspects of the holiday, like generosity, peace, kindness to others, charity, togetherness, that sort of thing.

Yes Christmas is commercialized, but I try not to let that get to me. I do hate seeing Christmas anytime before Thanksgiving (and before Halloween?? dont get me started). But by the time December comes I’m ready for it. If nothing else, it’s a break from the mundane routine of every day life.

I’m really getting into the Christmassy mood now. We’ve finally got the Christmas tree up, there are fairy lights in my room, and even some mince pies in the kitchen!

If anyone’s interested, I have photos of an ornament based off of a certain Monsters Inc. character

On top of that, my family held a Christmas party last night. Quite a few people there, too.
