I’ve mailed actors and actresses before

Just wondering, which actors and
actresses have you emailed before?
I seriously have spent about 1/2 an hour or so just trying to find a
general inquiries email on Pixar’s website. Maybe I’m blind or something 'cause I couldn’t find
it.
The thing is, contacting Pixar is
very hard but contacting Pixar’s animators and getting a few hints here and there, is not that hard at all, if
you do it right. The trick is to contact employees of Pixar and get them to give you the information you want,
but do it in a way where they won’t get fired or found out. The right people will give you information, as long
as it is off the record.
I read a story of a girl who visited the annual Pixar open day charity event, and
she striked up a conversation with a couple of animators (well, they approached her actually) and she found out a
bit of information about what Pixar’s upcoming projects are. For one, Pixar are in talks to do a movie with Tim
Burton. And two, they basically gave away the general story of Toy Story 3.
The only way they gave her
this information was because it was just in general conversation, the Pixar employees gave hints instead of
outright saying anything, and nothing was said on the record (not through email), so they knew their jobs were
safe.
So the moral of the story is, is to go to Pixar in person and strike up a conversation with some
super-nice animators. And they can also give you hints of how to approach getting into Pixar as an
animator.
Meh. Don’t take it personally.
They’re probably just too busy, and
they might get emails like that all the time. But it’s easy to dismiss an email, but not as easy to dismiss a
phone call.
I bet Pixar employees read this board, though…
