Mood: Anxious

Reason: I want school to start back up. Sounds weird being that I hate school. Oh well!

LightningAndDoc: Well, summer has a way of making people feel lazy… all summer it seems as though I’ve had absolutely nothing to do! Maybe it’s the idea of going back to school and having stuff to work on that excites you. Maybe you’re anxious to get out of the summer slump without realizing it!

Same here - I’m so excited for my church’s Bible school to start up on September 3… even though people say the first year is the most work, I don’t think it will faze me much, seeing as how I just got outta school and suffered a huge workload last year. No big. jk, jk…

Excited

I watched GI Joe: Rise of Cobra and it has risen to the number one spot on my favorite movies of 2009 list. I’ll probably see it again soon.

Current Mood: Content

Reason: I just got back from my uncle’s cabin. I had a nice, relaxing time. I went kayaking and came upon a family of loons. It’s the closest I’ve ever been able to get to them so it was pretty neat to kayak along side of them! They’re pretty cool birds. And last night we had a campfire and watched the meteor shower. I managed to see quite a few shooting stars.

Oh my gosh! For a second there I thought you were talking about crazy people ;-o  ! But, yeah, that’s pretty cool  ! And they didn’t fly away from you? Wow! Well, I’m glad you had fun  .

Current mood: Absolutely elated  , kinda sad :frowning: , a little blah  , and increasingly angry  .

Reason: I’m really Happy because I got to spend over a week with my aunt, and we had a blast  ! She’s so cool! We went to Sea World and MGM (now known as “Hollywood Studios.” :unamused: Ugh! I hate that name! ) and we rode roller coasters together. Then, while we were at MGM, I got to see The Incredibles (in person and in a parade). I got to give Frozone a picture I drew for him, and he loved it  ! It was great to see him react because everyone pays all their attention to Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and they forget about Frozone. So I was glad to give it to him. Then my mom took a picture with me (dressed as Violet in a polo shirt and black wig) and Froze. And My mom said the funniest thing! She had a frozen water bottle in her hand, and as usual, she tried to hide it so it wouldn’t be in the picture. So she goes to put it behind Frozone’s back, and says, " I hope this won’t make you too cold."

    !!!

Everyone busted out laughing! And when Mom realized what she had said,-- oh my gosh!-- she howled right along with us! My mom’s so COOL! But she works night-shift as a nurse, so she has an excuse for screwing up  .

Then we saw Bob and Helen. Now, let me tell you, we’ve gone to MGM a million times before, and every time we HAVE to see The Incredibles, and I ask my mom to introduce me as Violet. Well, this time, when I went, they recognised me  ! The characters knew who I was! Well, needless to say, that tickled me pink :stuck_out_tongue: ! So, I had a great time  .

We also went to Salvation Army a made out like bandits! I got most of what I needed for my Halloween costume (I’m most likely going as Michael Jackson from the Smooth Criminal video), a nice shirt, and a formal, but simple dress, all for less than ten bucks!

I also just found out that, after a while without seeing her, I’m probably going to sleep-over at my best friend’s house on Friday  . So that’ll be cool.

I’m also glad that I’ll be able to sleep in my own bed tonight, after sleeping on the couch for about 8 days :unamused: .

I’m a little sad though, cause my aunt had to leave today. She’s back home now, so I’m glad she made it safe. But, I’m still a little bummed about her leaving :frowning: .

I feel kinda board because it seems like nothing much is happening on the forums. I’m probably gonna work on my fanfic for a while after this if nothing happens.

But I’m really angry because it’s been over a month since The Incredibles: Family Matters issue 3 came out and weeks since I was supposed to have it. And it still hasn’t come  ! So I’m starting to get ticked off at BOOM! Studios, because we paid for the comics and we’re supposed to have them by now.

Buuut… other than that, I’m on cloud nine  !

Oh, you meant actual loons. Haha, like Violet Parr, at first I thought you meant crazy people! Anyway, it must’ve been a fun trip. Seeing those birds up close must have been fascinating. And meteor shower? Shooting stars? That must’ve been a really cool sight! :astonished: Glad you had fun, Hannahmation!

little_chef_eva09: What color? Sounds cool! Hope you enjoy and have fun on your sleepover, too!

Violet Parr: Wow, sounds like you had lots of fun to talk about! They even recognized you? That is awesome! LOL at when your mom said “I hope this won’t make you too cold.” That’s a good one and she made it up by accident! Prepared for Halloween, too, huh? Oh, have fun on your sleepover, too! It’s always nice to get together with friends you haven’t hung out with in a while. And what is taking them so long to send the new issue to you?

My current mood: Bored, dreading, and a little excited and somewhat anxious

Reason: I think I spend a little too much time on the computer, yet I argue that I do it to get things done, yet I haven’t got that much done at all! Writing- facing impatience and writer’s block at the moment. Videos- I thought I would get a lot of vids done over the summer, but so far all summer I’ve got none done, except for a couple being close to finished. I’ve been waiting to get some more DVDs to get clips from.
I’m excited because I’m going to a friend’s house to hang out and do maybe some fandubs and other stuff. Hopefully we can post a few fandubs on YouTube, if we think we sound good enough.
I’m dreading the end of summer. It’s passed by so quick, and I had hoped to do more!

Oh, and also slightly disappointed.
One or two of my former best friends seem to be slowly leaving me. We’re still aquaintances and can talk, but it’s never any real conversations that friends have anymore.
However, some other friendships seem to be growing, some aquaintances are becoming close friends. I hope it stays close.

NOTE: Oh, and also I feel better about my sadness/disappointment with a past friends issue, thanks to the comforting words and advice from Hannahmation through her PMs and lizardgirl through a post here in the past, and woody’s post here in the past hoping things get better. Thanks guys. Very very much.

Neutral: Nothing surprises me and displeases me today.

That sounds as though it was a lovely break, Hannahmation. And watching the meteor shower must’ve been amazing! I guess where your uncle’s cabin is, there aren’t many other people so it probably was the best place to look at the night sky. Sounds very blissful.

Haha, that’s cool that they remembered and recognised you, Violet Parr! You must be a real regular then. Seems like you had a great time!

No worries, bright dot-dasher. You’re very right in saying that in one moment in time, you might be making new friends and getting to know certain people better, but in the same moment in time you’re growing apart from some older friends. It’s a part of life, I guess. Like, I had a conversation with a friend over the phone last night, 'til about one in the morning, and she’s a friend that I’ve been close to since I was about eleven or twelve. We talked about a lot of things, but mainly about the other people in our ‘friendship group’, and to be fair, most of it wasn’t positive. One friend has now completely turned away from the group. It’s as though she thinks that we all dislike her or something, even though this is certainly not the case. She’s also been having some personal family problems as well over the past year, which is fair enough and it’s understandable that she’s changed a bit over time- as we all have!- but she seems able to turn away from us without any emotional feeling about the whole situation. Now there’s only two of us that she really ever stays in contact with, myself and another friend, but even then we can’t talk about the deep, meaningful stuff that good friends are supposed to be able to talk about.

It just seems like everyone is dispersing. I’ve got one friend who’s off in Argentina at the moment, and she’s staying there until December, though I’m missing her already. There are a few who are off to university, and out of the three that are, it’s blatantly obvious that two of them aren’t really going to bother staying in contact with their old friends because they’re just those kinds of people. I love them to pieces, but already they’re making new friends, rubbing it in our faces as though to say, ‘Look! I’ve got other friends now! I don’t need you lot! I’m popular!’ and are focusing on other people instead of us. It’s fair enough to have friends outside of our close friendship group, of course, but to make a point about it and actively tell the rest of us is unnecessary. Then I’ve got the friend who’s turning away, who I mentioned earlier. Even though she’s having a gap year along with myself and a few others, I doubt she’s going to be meeting up with us or sticking around. And then there’s the single other friend I have, who is staying at Sixth Form with me- she’s the girl I was on the phone to. I know I’m going to stay friends with her for a very, very long time, but it’s just sad to think that after eight years of knowing these six other people who have basically made up a massive part of my life and who I can’t imagine being without, there’s only really one that I can still talk to deeply and who will stay committed to our friendship.

But time goes on, and people change. I guess I’ve just got to be happy that I had such good friends in high school, and that I enjoyed my time there because of them. I’m going out for dinner with a few of them tonight, so it’s not as though all the big changes have come yet, we’ve still got a bit of time. But it’s coming soon, definitely.

Sorry for the massive rant. You don’t have to read all of that, it was just nice to have it typed out and out of my head. It’s been on my mind for a while.

[quote="Violet Parr":3iici0aa]I feel kinda board because it seems like nothing much is happening on the forums. I’m probably gonna work on my fanfic for a while after this if nothing happens.[/quote:3iici0aa]
Wow, for a while I thought I was the only one who noticed that it seems so slooooooow here; there’s like no one to talk to or anything. (Especially since like, everyone and their uncle lives on the west coast… :-\ )

[b:3iici0aa]BDD:[/b:3iici0aa] Oh, I got my hair colored red. :D It’s a darker shade than I would have liked, but it’s red nonetheless (which is what I’ve wanted sooo badly for a long time now!!). Next time she does it, she says if I want it to be lighter, she has to "raise the level" which means stripping some of my natural color or something like that so the color looks different. shrugs I dunno, the whole process confuses me!! xDDD

But it’s red. It’s awesome. That’s all that matters, and I absolutely LOVE it!!! :D :D :D

[b:3iici0aa]little chef[/b:3iici0aa]

I feel the same way. I think it’s because school’s starting, everyone’s getting occupied with other things. It’s kind of a shame, I check here all the time, and there’s no new posts like practically ALL DAY. It’s kind of a bummer, I love talking with you guys. :frowning:

Current Mood: Happy

Reason: School’s started, and I’m getting to hang out with my amazing friends today. We already went and ate lunch and went swimming at my local rec center. We’re gonna play some video games and then head out to go see Ponyo tonight! It’s gonna be great! Hopefully my Barnes and Noble will have the Art of Up in stock today.

Violet Parr: Wow, they recognized you as Violet Parr? That must be cool to be dubbed Violet for a day. You must’ve had an incredible time there.

This might be my own off-topic opinion, but I think they should have a Violet, Dash, and Syndrome costume characters as well at Disney Parks.

Haha! I can see how you guys thought I was talking about crazy people. Although, I did find a few of those too.

Violet Parr: That’s really cool that the Incredibles recognize you as Violet!

BDD: You are very welcome. I’m glad things are starting to look up for you.

I’ve been doing that all summer myself…

Current Mood: Pretty good, kinda sleepy

Reason: Went and saw Ponyo tonight, great film! Really fun, cute, colorful, and exciting. Towards the end of the movie, it kinda seemed like it just ended, but it was great. I recommend it. B&N didn’t have the book, but I ordered it for next week, and I’m gonna get to see Up again. It’s finally hitting the dollar theater, and I’m gonna have a lot more motivation to get out of town to go see it, and I’ll be willing to do it more than once a day now. Expect my Up count to rise rather dramatically in the following weeks. Can’t wait to go again!

bright dot-dasher- Thanks  ! Yeah, it was cool how they recognised me. I was, like, flipping out the rest of the day! And my mom has a habit of being funny when she’s not trying  (a trait I thank God I picked up from her!). And, yes, I’m already prepared for Halloween  . I wore the outfit yesterday, and it fit like a dream! I really looked like Michael Jackson! And, thanks. I am looking forward to my sleepover next week. It’ll be nice to see her again before school starts. And I just got third and forth issues yesterday, so, it’s all good now. We just won’t order from them again. Thanks, BDD  !

He he  , I’m guilty of that myself. :unamused:

lizardgirl- Thanks  ! Yeah, when ever we can I ask my family to take me there just to see them. And, if that’s all I get done the entire time I’m there, I’m still happy  !

little_chef_eva09- Yeah, I know it’s been kind slow lately. Like ffdude1906 said, it’s probably because every one’s getting ready to go back to school, so things are kinda slowing down. But it seems to be picking up a little, so that’s a good thing  ! Oh, and BTW, I bet your hair looks beautiful  ! I love red hair. I’ve even thought about doing that to my hair someday. But I’ll probably use henna or something natural, 'cause I don’t want it to be permanent. And my uncle is from Morocco, so he can teach me how to use it  .

The Star Swordsman- Yeah, it was pretty cool  ! Especially when they get all hyped up about it! I think they enjoy it as much, or even more than I do  . And, I agree, they should have Violet, Dash, and Syndrome as characters there. That would be so cool :-D) ! I’ve asked cast members about it before, they said they’ve had a couple people suggest that. Hey! Maybe we should start a petition or somthing like that and send it to Disney asking them to start including them as characters  . Who knows? Maybe it’d work <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" /> . Thanks, TSS.

Hannahmation- Thanks  ! It was really cool. Like I said before, I was freaking out the whole rest of the day after that :unamused: !

Current Mood: Extremely Happy

Reason: I finnaly got the third and forth issues of The Incredibles: Family Matters, and they were GREAT! I’ll probably drop a review in the “I got the Incredibles comic Today!” thread. I’m also happy because I’ve gotten a lot of my fan fiction done today.

Violet: I feel very happy for you Violet Parr. I hope you enjoy the comic. Plus, I am glad to hear you got great progress done on your fic.

Mood: Pumped up.

Reason: Two words: GO CHARGERS!!!

Lizardgirl- Sorry! I was completely distracted from this place, didn’t see you reply!

Well, the book is actually a poetry book. Although, what I wrote in particular struck me more as a rhyming story than a poem. Something along the same lines as The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe.

But yes, it’s basically a book comprised of different poetry and what have you. My story just so happened to make it in there which was a very nice surprise

However, to stay on topic…

Current Mood: tired

it’s 5am and i’ve yet to sleep, which explains why i’m tired.

Man, I should check some other people’s posts on here more often, I usually reply immediately! That’s really cool Violet Parr, I kinda ended up in the same circumstance (but much less cool) with the theater employees after my first Up binge, haha! I imagine they got kinda tired of me though, they just pull out my ticket as soon as I would walk in, I’m sure they’re thinking “Oh, it’s him again” :stuck_out_tongue:

Current Mood: Tired, but a bit anxious

Reason: 1 am, gonna do some cleaning. (and HOPEFULLY some art) I’m pretty sure that Up’s gonna be in the dollar theater now, which means more Up for me! I’m gonna try to see it tomorrow after taking care of some college stuff at my friend’s dorm. Can’t wait! :smiley:DDD

(Uh, sorry in advance for the negativity in this post o_0)

Mood: Decent.

Well, today was just one of those days. Ya’know, the days where you don’t start off on the right foot, you’re stuck on the left for the rest of the day (or, as we say in band, ya’ just can’t get back in step). To start off, I was late to band, and when we were marching the basics, someone knocked over my water bottle. A good 2/3rds of it gone. Then, I had a lovely bittersweet moment with my band director: I found out that the person that I’m competing for my spot is doing football instead of marching band, so I got the spot, but the thought it would be nice to tell me when I left to go get my water bottle refilled. I even stayed around to see if I was needed, and when he called them to ‘Attention’, that’s when I left. They were about to march, I just had to wait until we switched again. Correct logic, no? Then after band, for some odd reason, EVERYONE wanted to talk to me, of course, I was in no rush at all.

Right.

We had a family party today. About 30 or so-ish people. It was neat. Was long, and I got a headache, but everyone was cool. Tons of little kids though. I tried to go to sleep, and the 8 or so little’uns decided to make a rock band. So, they’re in the room next to me singing Hannah Montana. Mmm. Fun.

I did get a call from a place I applied to, for a job, and they called me today telling me there will be a group interview tomorrow. Yay! I can’t wait for that.

And, I got all 6 Harry Potter soundtracks, so that’s exciting too

So, for a pretty bad start, it ended pretty well.

:sunglasses:

Edit: Oh yeah, and today is my pen-pal’s birthday, so Happy Birthday to her :stuck_out_tongue:

Lazy: Exam’s tomorrow. I haven’t read a thing yet. Almost everything distracts me and I don’t think that I shouldn’t be here. Oh books, what can I do to read you???

The Star Swordsman- Thanks  ! And, just somthing I thought you might find interesting: before, when we went to see The Incredibles, I dressed in a lot more than polo and wig. I’ve actually gone in, no lie, a super suit :stuck_out_tongue: ! Boy, was that awesome  ! Oh! And the fic is coming along great! Thanks  !

ffdude1906- Ha ha :stuck_out_tongue: ! That’s cool that you got to do kinda the same thing. And I’m sure they weren’t tired of you, they were probably just surprised to see you coming back so many times  .

thewisecookiesheet-

Oh, how irritating :unamused: ! I’m not much of a Hannah fan myself. So I can imagine how annoying that must’ve been.

Current Mood: Confused

Reason: I was about to do something, now I totally forgot! Ugh :unamused: ! I hate it when that happens.
