Current Mood: Very Excited!!!

For the past 5 years,our basement has been a dump. Filled with headless toys, dog poop and pee, out of colored couches, broken computers, fallen apart books. I remember it used to be me and my sisters play room were we would make our own adventures and use our imagination. But when we got our dog in 2006. It has been the dog’s play room,not ours. Our dog ruined the basement. We never went down there. And yesterday when we were making our resolutions, one of my dad’s one’s was to finally after all these long years to clean the basement. Me and mom were all like “Yeah Right” But he did it! He cleaned it. All the books are even and in a self, the toys are put in a box,the couch is clean,it looks great! All that’s left to do is to mop the floor and add a carpet! Then it will be perfect! My dad says he is gonna put the old TV in there and put in the Xbox 1 and Gamecube! And when we get a Blu Ray player,we could put our DVD player down there to watch movies! This really is starting out to be a happy new year!

Current Mood: Happy, sad, tired, embarrassed

The reason for such a flood of emotion?: Well, I’m happy because it’s a New Year :slight_smile: ! And me and my Nana talked, and we resolved the collar issue :slight_smile: . I was quite impressed by her, actually. She was very accepting. I’m a little sad simply because… well, the results of the PP Awards came back, and I didn’t win a single one. But I’m not all that surprised, I’m still a fairly new member and I don’t post in a lot of different threads. I was just a little disappointed with the outcome, that’s all. But I am happy for the people that did win, because they definitely deserved it :smiley: ! I’m tired because I stayed up all night last night, and only slept at noon today. But I had fun, and I’m fine now, so it was worth it :stuck_out_tongue: ! I’m embarrassed because of a really stupid mistake that I made :blush: .

Reason: Well, it’s 2010! A big year of change for me, with a lot of work to do and a lot of pressure, but I can’t wait to get stuck in to all of the stuff I’ve planned to do. :smiley:

Mood: uh, exhausted

Reason: Today I went paintballing, and it was an all day thing, so we were pretty much paintballing all day. Anybody who isn’t exhausted at the end of that is freaking incredible! It was fun though, I have a bunch of welts from the paintball hitting me (mostly on my back, and knees). I got home and took a shower, so I feel tons better! :smiley:

That sounds awesome, annarborjack! It must be really exciting that the basement where you and your sisters used to have little make-believe adventures, which has been broken down, is suddenly reopened to you again around New Year, and now you can play and watch there. Current Mood: Stressed
Reason: Last day of winter break and for art class I have to finish two sketches, change one, make a whole new one as well, and write something like an essay. I doubt they’re all due tomorrow but I don’t remember the due date so to be on the safe side I should do them today. I’m afraid of getting distracted too easily that I end up squeezing them all together…I NEED to focus but I get so distracted and I might put them off! :shake:

mo: I tried my first paintball two years ago, it was tons of fun! Hearing the ‘bullets’ whizz past you, ‘thwacking’ against those oil-drums. I used the cheap semi-automatic rifle (you can only squeeze those rounds out one-by-one), while the opposing team had the high-powered auto ones (so they just twiddle their fingers on the trigger and the bullets just spray out), so the odds were stacked against us! Needless to say, I got a couple of shots, but an infinite more number of welts as a souvenir. Plus, I found out I suck at running for cover. :stuck_out_tongue:

wannabechef91: Ah, thinking of ‘crossing over’? Well, it depends if you want a laptop or a desktop. The iMacs can have better specs in the higher-end models than the MBP, and their screens can go all the way to 27 inches compared to the MBP’s 17. It hinges on whether you want portability or performance, and whether you can spare the extra moolah if you want the MBP (which has lesser value-for-money than the iMac because of the fact it’s compact and you can carry it around).

TSS: Congrats, glad you recovered your awesome videos. :slight_smile:

anaborjack: Woo hoo, good you’re getting a home-improvement. And Blu-Ray is awesome, so I heard.

Violet Parr: Don’t feel too bad, VP. You’ve got fans (like Yours Truly and others) who love your work, and remember Doc’s words: At the end of the day, it’s just an empty cup. Happy cos’ I’m typing this on my new Dell laptop, which looks absolutely beautiful. Although it’s a little slow. And Windows 7 still sucks in comparison with Mac. But the resolution and brightness is like 2x that of my old MBP, so I guess I’m happy. Oh, and it’s a brand new year. How awesome is that?

Excited cos’ I’m planning to see Avatar tomorrow, if everything goes well. I’ve waited so long for this!

Angry cos’ my ‘Eve’ external hard drive fails to power on (maybe it got fried by the extension cord outlet or something) and half of my fan videos and project files are on it! I’ve got a few uploaded on YT already and maybe a couple more on the ‘Wall-E’ hard drive, but some of my pre-‘09 work may be lost forever… :frowning: How could I be so stupid, I shoulda synched it with ‘Wall-E’ or my MBP… I hope the fix-it guys can repair it without having to wipe the drive. Fingers crossed, pray for me, people… :’(
