Drained!
I’m working on my CG character and its presenting problem after problem. The work load for the final year of my course really is tough
Chilled, but dreading.
Had the most excellent winter vacation of my life. I’m very relaxed and happy, but I’ll be going back to school soon. Which means back to my classmates. Which is kind of an “Oh noez” moment for me.
Here’s what I have to say, cuz I went through this exact same situation. My mom actually talked me out of buying a MacBook when we were at Best Buy once. I have been wanting the laptop for over 2 years, so I was bent on saving up my money for that. However, we saw both the iMac and the MacBook at Best Buy, and even the 21 in screen is stunning; the color and depth is just incredible. You’re paying less for the iMac, but you’re actually getting more out of it, like more hard drive space (you can buy one with up to 1 terabyte HD 
).
So to that I say I’d highly suggest the iMac if you’re just starting out. However, if you’re in an environment where you need your computer wherever you go, and you still want to go with Mac, maybe getting a regular MacBook (which are cheaper, not so fancy, but still powerful) would be a good entry-level deal until you can save up for the bigger stuff.

TDIT: Oh, man that’s something to panick about! I know what it feels like to worry about your files. Once, this weird thing started coming up on my computer, and apparently is was a computer virus scan that I could cancel anytime. But it wouldn’t let me click anywhere, and it took up the screen with black and counting high numbers and seemed like it would never end. I’ve NEVER had a “computer scan” like this, so I got suspicious, but it just kept going even if I tried to turn it off. Since it wouldn’t let me do anything, I was really really scared that all my precious hours and hours of work would be lost. I prayed quite intensely about it, and all I could do was hope for the best. Eventually, it stopped, and it was like it never happened. 
Anyway, I hope everything turns out recovered and fine. Like Kronk from The Emperor’s New Groove saving his spinach puffs xD jk. Please excuse the lame analogy…I couldn’t resist, having watched that movie recently…I’ll pray for you.
Current Mood: Excited, happy, and a bit like slapping myself
Reason: 1.) I might go see The Princess and the Frog on my
birthday!
3.) Just yesterday I watched Enchanted and noticed a reference I don’t think anyone’s noticed before!.
4.) I feel like beating myself up on the head sometimes for procrastinating and getting so distracted. I have math to do and possibly have to redo and practice art assignment in four days. Well, I don’t have to redo it, but I feel like doing so because everyone in my art class has a different artist for their project, and I’m doing one that someone else already picked, and I’ll feel unoriginal that way…
Mood: not really in the mood.
Reason: sighs Tomorrow I’m going to have to go and pay my tuitition, long lines of people, always something to look forward to…

Thanks, dasher! The only downfall to it was I had to tell my beloved grandparents bye (I won’t see them till I visit them in FL… in April probably!). I’ll miss 'em a lot… but other than that, “It has been a great birthday after all!” I’ve definitely felt being 15 now though.

Reason: I have over $100 in iTunes cards, and I listen to hardly any music, so I’m having a REALLY hard time trying to buy stuff. I already bought the rest of the Up soundtrack, and I’ll probably buy a few of Ingrid Michaelson’s songs (possibly her new album cuz my friend has it and I LOVE it). But other than that, I can’t think of anything!
I mainly use music while I’m writing stuff, so if there’s any instrumental/movie score pieces you guys could recommend, I’d definitely take a look.

Good luck with all of your work, St_Jons. I’ve got a friend in the final year of her uni course, and she says it’s very tough too, but it’ll all be worth it once it’s over.

Reason: I’ve got my first exam of the season in a week and I feel like I haven’t revised nearly enough. Time to cram, methinks!

Current Mood: Excited yet a bit sick
Reason: I got my computer fixed finally! It now has a new battery and a bigger hard drive. They also managed to transfer all my files over! I feel a bit sick though because since my computer isn’t under warranty anymore, it costed me a good chuck of money to get it fixed. I felt my bank account get lighter when I picked it up yesterday. XD
mood: happy
I actually have time to relax and check the boards today! That rarely happens anymore.

Reason: Well, it’s my one year Anniversary on Pixar Planet ! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I joined and started posting on here! Boy, time flies when you spend it with friends that you love ! Know what, group hug guys! Ugh! You guys are so awesome! I’m glad to have you as friends !
Also, I got Watchmen andUltraViolet on DVD ! And they’re AWESOME !
Mood: NOT impressed.
Reason: Let’s just say I wish our youth group at church excluded ages 12-14. I mean seriously, I want to talk about issues people my age group are going through, but it’s seriously awkward when little immature 13 year olds are sitting around a bunch of older teenagers listening to the exact same stuff - INCLUDING my brother who has absolutely NO idea about [spoil]getting STDs, kids his age on marijuana, teen pregnancies, yeah, you get the freakin’ deal…[/spoil]. I’m old enough to understand it all so it’s not awkward for me, but the fact that HE’s there the entire time IS awkward. They told me they’d call my mom and let her know if we were going to be having these discussions in youth group so she could pull my brother out, but no one called and he had to sit and listen to all of that, and I mean [spoil]there was a point we touched on girls getting STDs and where… I mean, not explicitly or anything, but they STILL talked about it!! 
[/spoil]!!! UGH!!
They seriously need a group for pre-teens. Seriously. Even though some kids see that stuff on a daily basis, some of it is JUST too much for them to be discussing with kids 16-18. Come on.

Mood: feeling better, but I was pretty mad and depressed earlier.
Reason: I went to the store with my mom and little bro today after dinner, and we went to Target and the whole time my little brother was being just a total pest the entire time. Also (I think I’m over reacting on this one ) I feel like people are ignoring me and stuff. Lately people have just really been looking over me, might be my fault since I don’t really like to stand out, but still… I’m feeling better though cuz at Wall-Mart I was able to use my gift cards to buy some jeans and a $25 iTunes giftcard and I was able to buy the album “Money Money 2020” by The Network, and it’s just totally awesome and I’m totally loving it!

little_chef- I know what you mean, I remember being eleven years old, in my first year of High School and feeling very awkward sitting in a room of girls whilst the teacher showed us how to use protection on a banana…Parents of a lot of the girls were not happy to say the least! I guess kids are being told this stuff earlier and earlier nowadays.
Mood: OMGZORGZ
Reason: It’s snowing! A lot! Which is nice, BUT we had a power cut all last night and this morning so that was a pain. My mum drove all the way to work and was then told to go home again- despite the boss telling me on the home that it would be business as usual! Silly man.
It’s just so crazy to see it like this outside. I’m sure some of you guys on here have had much heavier snow than this, but in England when it snows, everything comes to a standstill. We just can’t handle it!
Mood: Very, VERY happy!
Reason: I got adjusted at the chiropractor this morning, so I already feel better from that… but this afternoon I was on Facebook and asked if anyone were going downstate soon so I could give them the money to buy my WALL•E and EVE t-shirt for me, since I don’t know when I’ll get down there again, and then out of the blue one of my good friends messages me and says, “I can buy it for you… you can just give me the money when you see me.” Just like that! I can’t believe I’m actually getting it, cuz I didn’t get it for Christmas! (Keep in mind I didn’t ask anyone for it… I’m still paying for it. ) Plus it’s on sale, so yaaaaaaay!!!
