NCIS is one of the most fun police-procedurals with characters you can’t help but love. I prefer it much more to the serious and self-important Law and Orders or CSIs. Oh, and NCIS: LA is heaps of awesome too.
Current Mood: Bored
I really should be doing some fanwork with my free time, but I’ve wasted half my afternoon on this forum and watching old cartoons. Dang it!
On a side note, my electronic keyboard finally arrived! I can’t wait to open it with my sibs!
Reason: I was planning on going to see How to Train Your Dragon for a fourth time tonight with my best friend… but I’m pretty sure they just switched it out with a few new movies for a Friday night release. Gah, I should have known that they would switch them on a Friday…
Man, that just totally threw off my whole day. I was about to break my record of seeing Up three times at the movies, and wanted to see HtTYD a fourth time kind of as my way of saying I loved it more than Up… but alas…
Sorry, Pixar. Dreamworks really sold me on this one.
I really don’t know how I’m going to survive without being able to watch it again until the DVD release.
Reason: I unexpectedly had to get six teeth pulled at the orthodontist today, but thanks to insurance issues I don’t have to do it until next week. I’m still a bit worried though, but at least we went to a much better orthodontist instead of the creepy one that we usually go to.
Yeah I saw your YT videos post, haha. I don’t really improvise (cos’ I ain’t smart enough), but I do play scoresheets of the songs I like. Got up to Grade 7 Piano, then had to give it up to study for my ‘O’ levels.
I’m actually annoyed they’re still plugging Alice and Clash, which although I haven’t watched, I’ve heard from my friends that they’re inferior. I’ve mentioned this in another thread, but the theatres in my area are already shoving Dragon to the ‘graveyard’ shifts (mornings and afternoons) while Alice and Clash still get the bigger screens and ‘primetime’ slots (evenings and nights). While Alice and Clash are lower in the box office rankings in Australia, they get the bigger chunk of the 3D/Imax pie.
Oh, and yeah, it really bites you have to wait till DVD. You could of course, uh… resort to unconventional means to satisfy that fix (torrents!) It’s not like you have legal channels to support them where you are anyway…
The Imax theatre at Darling Harbour is already in the last days for Dragon before Iron Man arrives. The final showing will be on Anzac Monday in the afternoon, so I hope I can make the time to send it off its final theatrical farewell.
skunklover/lizardgirl - Isn’t there, like… 3 Charlie films already? I only watched the first. “Chaarlieee…” flips upside down
JSWeC - Good for you!
Current Mood: Okay
I managed to finesse the first two chapters of an upcoming fanfic yesterday, and it’s coming along nicely. I also have another video and maybe a couple of graphics in the works. And I just came up with a brilliant idea for a HYTTD artpiece, but again, it’s a case of if I can beat my procrastination and looming homework to get off my butt and on it!
Captain Pan - I know I’m a bit late, but… it’s great to have you back.
Current Mood: Tired, albeit content… to an extent.
Reason: I’m tired because I worked most of the day today… and concluded it by coloring a drawing on Photoshop. Additionally, I only got about three hours and fifteen minutes of sleep last night, and I have to wake up really early tomorrow to cap it all off. Next week is going to be pretty busy too, as I’ll be puppy-sitting. Lots to do!
Regarding the contentedness, the reason why I was up so late last night was because I was chatting with some buds of mine on Skype. No matter how lethargic I am, I always enjoy talking to my friends.
Reason: I’m performing our school’s production of Beauty and the Beast twice today! I already had to do it once yesterday night, so I’m also pretty tired at the same time
Satisfied cos’ I worked on a couple of HTTYD graphics and am putting the finishing touches. I’m also mid-way through another music video for the summer movies of 2010.
Annoyed cos’ I have to attend a group meeting for a class project on Anzac Sunday, so I’m not even sure if public transport will be regular (the meeting point is in the city). After that, I also have to help out a few close friends for their assignment, but I’m really reluctant to do it since I’ve got other schoolwork (plus I want to use my free time to practice my drawing and video-editing skills) and I’m not getting any of their points. It may sound selfish, but I’ve already helped them plenty times in the past, and this needs to stop, but I don’t feel ‘good’ telling them to swim for themselves.
[quote=“lizardgirl”] skunklover-Charlie the Unicorn is awesome! “We’re on a bridge, Charlie!”

Yeah that part sounded even funnier in chipmunk voices.
Mood: Freaked out
Reason: I’m trying to watch the WALL-E on the Simpsons video and WALL-E looks scary! His eyes look different, he has elbows, and he’s GREEN! Now I’m gonna have nightmares. looks at the real WALL-E Ahh, that’s better. And I’m at my grandparent’s house and this weird thunderstorm alarm thing is going off.
Reason: I will be puppy-sitting for five days this week… starting today. It will be relaxing to escape from the house and spend some time with the Beagle I’ll be taking care of, as well as watching T.V. (which is something I haven’t done in a long time, seeing as my family and I don’t have cable).
Right now, I’m wallowing in a deep bucket of nostalgia before heading off – I’m listening to some music from an old video game that my sister and I used to play when we were little (the A Bug’s Life game music, to be specific). Here’s one orchestral piece, if you’re interested: Assemble the Bird (Clover Forest)
In addition to all of this, I’m going to make more of an effort to stop complaining about things and to resist sharing everything that goes on in my life with the folks on Twitter. I feel as if I’ve been drawing too much attention to myself lately. Not every little thing I do has to be published.
My only personal concern at the moment is one that regards my… unusual personality. I feel that I’m too weird for some individuals’ tastes. Ah well. It’s something I just have to accept, I suppose.
Good luck on stage, woody! Which character are you playing?
thedriveintheatre- You’re such a nice person, doing that for your friends. I’d have told them where to go a long time ago. But it does seem like it’s coming to the point where you’re putting your own work to one side for them. If you explain that you’re having to do this, they really should understand.
Mitch- Don’t worry about Twitter, everyone does it, myself included. It’s actually quite interesting what we each get up to in our daily lives, though yes, perhaps there are some things that shouldn’t be broadcast. Most things can be, though.
And similarly, don’t worry about your personality. I know how you feel, and from my experiences (and you’ve probably found the same thing), yes, there might be those that don’t quite ‘get’ you, but on the other hand, those who do tend to end up as really good friends. I’d much rather have a couple of close friends than dozens of people who are just sort of acquainted with you. And those that don’t want to be friends with you are missing out.
Mood: Very tired.
Reason: Busy at work yesterday, busy at work today, didn’t have enough time to do much revision or schoolwork that’s due in for this week…I really can’t wait for the summer now. Even though that’s going to involve me working three or four days a week and volunteering the rest of the time. At least I managed to find somewhere to start volunteering; it’s this adult learning disabilities centre, and basically you do some gardening or cooking with them. It’s lovely there, got its own shop and everything, so volunteering there should actually be quite fun.
And as they say, the devil makes work for idle thumbs.
Mood Warm and fuzzy Why? The admissions counselor I was emailing a question to about my possible college remembered who I was, where he saw me, and what extracurriculars were on my applictation. I feel so special!
Reason: I just had a really long day today - between getting my hair done, going out to visit my grandmother who just had surgery, an after-school girl’s program that lasted from 3:00-6:00, then practice with my church’s worship team, I’m pretty worn out!
Kinda curious cuz there just seems to be a lot of people on tonight… and yet no one ever uses the poor chatroom. C’mon, guys, who wants to talk?!
