Of course, but it did help change Mater’s attitude during the rest of the film.
How old was Doc?
Well, Hudson Hornets were produced between 1951 and 1954.
Doc was probably in his mid 50’s during the first film.
Really? I always thought he was older! Then again, we know the year of the car doesn’t always determine the age. cough Sally cough
That’s true. I say he was somewhere in his 70’s since he must of been in his twenties or so when he raced in the early 50’s.
That’s what I think!
I just have to laugh every time I think of Sally’s age like that… She would be four years old.
That would be strange though if Car ages were like that.
It would be weird! The best looking cars would all be children, since they had the newest and best makes.
such an awesome topic to discuss, like most of the people here stated: it’s HARD to choose , both characters are well developed, right now I think I’m going with Finn, but it does not mean he was a better character than Doc Hudson,
one more aspect I love is that Finn’s license plate is 314 FMCM, which includes a reference to Michael Caine’s birthday (March 14), the same day of my birthday
I think Doc’s age was somewhere in his 60’s
The concept of “children” in the Cars universe is one of the many I still can’t grasp.
Maybe a car’s release year is not actually the year it was born, but rather the year it reached adulthood. The conceptional and manufacturing process would be their childhood. So, Sally would be, 22 years old?
Ooh, awesome! Pie day!
I liked Doc alot, but I’d really have to say Finn <3 I adore Finn XD
He’s awesome, and I don’t mean it in the “Duuuuudeeeee like whoa! that’s awweesssommme” way,I mean like actual awe XD
All those little gadgets and suprises, he never gets old to watch
My favorite of the 2 would have to be Doc Hudson, cuz he has that old man flair to him, so i think tha’ts pretty cool.
Ahhh, interesting theory! I always thought Sally would be at least 25-26 in the first Cars. I base that off of the fact that she’s a lawyer. (I know this is off-topic. )
LOL, hahaha! “Old man flair” <— that just made me laugh. Doc has swagger.
I’ve gotta go with Finn. I’ve always loved Michael Caine.
My mind was just blown. After all this time of wondering, I think we may have very well found our answer. bows in honour
