This film is about a traveling actor who works for people who want to continue lies, cover up things, etc. He is doing a job for one of his best friends who is the CEO of an international weapons company who stepped over the line of foreign policy and made several mistakes that gets a Japaneese drug ring very angry at him. They decide to assassinate him before he ruins their business any more. The actor’s job is to be the living image of the CEO, and he’s scary good at his job, so no-one notices it’s not the real guy except for the people that sent him (the CEO) away to hide in Rio de Janeiro. The actor starts to get angry at his friend’s mistakes that got him into deep trouble with the foreign drugees. One teen in the drug ring knows that the actor is not the real CEO, and he presents him with an offer: either stay where you are and we may or may not kill you, or secretly join us and get revenge and get paid a whole lot more than you would for standing in as your friend. As he mulls it over in his mind, devestating turns-of-events start to happen, and he has to make a decision. Fast. And as people start to suspect him, he knows he won’t be able to hide behind his friends much longer. Or maybe not even keep them.
I need help with a title that would pull all this together.
And no I won’t give away the ending unless there’s a big call to do so.
Just so you know we have a similar thread already up: animated film ideas
A bit old, but still good.
As for myself I tend to stay very tight-lipped about my ideas. Being someone going into the industry it’s a near crippling setback to have your ideas floating free for anyone to snatch up and pitch themselves.
TS2: All my stories (10 in all) are for animation. However I could see one of them to be realistic CGI style, much like Happy Feet. The rest are either traditional animation or a mix of the two mediums…or comics.
I have all mine that I’m saving for my directing dream, and I don’t think I’ll post them on the internet because of all the copying cough Dreamworks cough and corruption cough Eisner cough there is in the movie world. I know, I’m paranoid.
Hey, don’t kid yourself. Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2, Not Another Teen Movie, Scary Movie 3, Date Movie, Scary Movie 4…pants…Epic Movie, The Comebacks, Meet the Spartans, Superhero Movie…It’s only a matter of time.
But even after all the exhaustion of film genre parody movies, I would go to see it. On the other hand, I just called animation a genre, didn’t I? slaps self (Sorry, Brad Bird!) However, you can’t tell me Hollywood doesn’t view it as one.
But from the angle I’m lookin at it…it just doesn’t seem as easy…you know with character models and such…voices…etc.
In a perfect world I would love to see the animation studios involved do a collaboration…just to make it genuine…but like I said earlier…highly unlikely…
But like you said…It’ll probably happen one day, just not as soon as it seems…
Heh, no can do my friend. I’m afraid writing and my existing stories are my back up plans. The most info I ever post of my stories are in my non-fanart thread here and on my deviantart page.
I’ve had this film idea for quite some time. It usually passes my mind, but occasionally, I think about it again.
In grade 9 English class, we read a novel titled Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. I honestly read it because we had to, but I did find it interesting at times. Shortly after finishing the novel, I thought it would make an interesting film, and I also thought of a potential director: Steven Spielberg.
Now, Spielberg is up to his eyes in projects at the moment (Lincoln, Tintin, Interstellar), along with possible future projects (The 39 Clues, Chocky, Oldboy), so the chances of this idea actually coming to fruition are slim to none, but I can’t help returning to this idea.
I have film ideas but they’re going to be books. I won’t post them here because, I’m sorry, it’s rather stupid to do. Anyone can just google and steal them! I’m sorry if that’s paranoid, but if you’ve spent enough time trying to get your film ideas / book ideas as original as possible, you’d never post them on the internet for all to see.
