The word “savage” also reminds me of something else, in relation to dinosaurs.
This may sound weird, but I’ve toyed with the idea (especially with the raptors) that some dinosaurs were capable of thinking the way we humans do. After all, there WERE countless species we’ve never seen, and we probably haven’t even discovered them all!
Oh yes, we cannot have discovered ALL of them! I’ve seen alot of new discoveries in the newspaper we have. I suppose that of course, like the Raptors, they did have the intelligence to communicate and use teamwork to bring down their prey. Another good example would be Troodon. Little nasties too.
If dinosaurs were still alive and left evolve, it would almost be certain that they would get increasingly more intelligent, but I don’t think they could match the brain power of homosapiens. I wouldn’t like that idea either, since intelligence can be a dangerous thing…

Course, so long as they have nothing major to hate humans for, things would go along just fine.
