Favorite song from Disney films?

Yep. I always enjoyed that song and Frollo will always be one of my favorite Disney villains.

He is awesome!!

I wonder what other songs he has sung in front of that fire place.

Really makes one wonder.

If fireplaces could talk?

Probably about him having an attraction for another lady.

I once made saome lyrics to a song of Frollo. It’s a parady of “Beat it” It’s called “Heat it”.

I’d probably choose “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas.

My favorite is A Whole new world from Aladdin  I listen it most of the time

I have a few songs, but I like “I See The Light” from Tangled best. Emotional and lovely … awww <3
Songs I also love:

  • “I’ve Got A Dream” (Tangled)
  • “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” (The Lion King)
  • “You’ll Be In My Heart” (Tarzan)
  • “Great Spirits” (Brother Bear)

Right now, “When Can I See You Again?” comes to mind from Wreck-It Ralph.

This is too hard. It’s difficult enough for me to decide which song I like best in a certain movie!

But I think I’ll go with Hakuna Matata. It’s a bit cliche, like a default favorite for a lot of people. But it’s so dang catchy. And hello, Nathan Lane sings it!

My favourite song would have to be I Won’t Say (I’m in Love) from Hercules. I can’t really explain why I love it, but I just do. It’s insanely catchy. :stuck_out_tongue:

My favourite piece of instrumental music would have to be a toss-up between Kingdom Dance from Tangled (The music playing throught the scenes where they’re in the castle and attending the festival) and This Land from The Lion King (The music playing when Mufasa appears in the sky). Kingdom Dance because I love the sort of folk music side of it with the flutes, and the way the composer weaved little snippets of the healing incantation through it, and This Land because every time I hear it I literally feel chills run down my spine and get all nostalgic.

Other Disney songs I really, really love, listed in no real order include God Help the Outcasts and Hellfire from Hunchback, Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas, Reflection from Mulan, I See the Light from Tangled and Strangers Like Me from Tarzan.

I really liked I See the Light from Tangled. It’s a nice, lovely tribute to the big love ballads from the Renaissance films.

For some reason, I really like the “Zero to Hero” and “Gospel Truth” songs from Hercules.

Yes, Hercules has a beautiful soundtrack.

I really like “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin.

^I love those big show stopper numbers. Disney has a few of them.

One song I like a lot is When I See an Elephant Fly, from Dumbo. Although those crows have gotten a lot of slack for being racist (I do see how the fact that the main crow is named ‘Jim Crow’ and they basically got a white guy to do his best jive for the voice can be insulting), I still really like them. they were some of the only characters who were even helpful to Dumbo

I recently re-watched Dumbo and had not done so for many years, so I was barely realizing the thing about the crows. But that’s true, I’m not offended by them. I think they’re fun and if anything, it speaks for the kind of time period in which Dumbo was made, which is kind of unique. I love them and Dumbo and Timothy!

Cracked has an interesting article on racist Disney characters. I’ll post the Crows section, bc it’s interesting:

While I’m not too concerned about it (we have to treat it as a period of it’s time) it is interesting to keep in mind. It’s up to interpretation on if it’s racist or not. If it is or not, they’re easily my favorite characters in the film. But the fact the head crow is named Jim Crow totally went over my head when I was younger.

I like Timothy and Dumbo too! I like most of that film, really. I like how the crows harp on Timothy, but they turn out alright in the end! They’re just fun loving, as you said.
