hmmm, I’m thinking of a Ratatoullie character too… but he aint a rat ![]()
is that even a contest? Theyre all so
good!!! But if I had to pick right now it would be Bambi, because I bought the 2 disc dvd set a long
time ago and only watch it like twice (and all the special features) it’s time to pull it out of my collection
and watch the classic again
Aladdin, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, and Pocahontas tie for my top favorite.
I could watch them endlessly.
I also love The Lion King. Beauty and the Beast is oookaaaay, but I’ve never really liked it that much. Same thing with The Little Mermaid. Just, meh.
Peter Pan.
Oh peter Pan is really cool! I loved the movie, but I love the stage play of it as well also. I think the sequel kinda ruined it for me.
Seen a few debates here as for what are the Disney Classics. As I see it, every Disney animated film in the years 1937-1973 (From Snowhite to Robin Hood- the first “golden age” of Disney’s films) and 1989-1999 (From Little Mermaid to Tarzan, the second golden age).
And VERY hopefully the third age will begin in 2009 with Princess and the Frog. But who knows?
Good point, Phalkor! I agree, and I like that classification. I also sure do hope it will have a third golden age! We’ll see…
Phalkor - I also agree and favor your classifications. I wonder if the third “Golden Age” may even being with Enchanted, which will arrive in US theaters next month? If not, The Princess and the Frog could very well be the start of Disney’s next “Golden Age”.

Yes, I was reffering to the Princess and the Frog. I kind of doubt Enchanted to start it.
Phalkor - Cha, well, you never know. Something tells me that Enchanted will either be a tremendous flop or it will break the box office numbers. Either way, I have high hopes for the film. Let’s hope that it doesn’t disappoint. Eheh…
– Mitch
I doubt it will disappoint, but that’s because my hopes aren’t too high. It is going to be more of an American style film rather than a Disney one. If you look at this that way, I bet you’ll love it.
And as the trailer says, it is not like the other classics, because it isn’t one. They are much better, and that’s ok ![]()
I have several favorite classic disney movie favorites: Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood, and Cinderella.
Hm, it’s hard to say. I have seen almost every Disney classic and I liked/loved most of them. But I would say The Little Mermaid is my favorite. It has a great story, likeable characters and wonderful songs. Not to forget: the animation was great.
But Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book (which is Germany’s most famous movie), The Lion King and Aladdin are great too.
And I also love Brother Bear, even though you couldn’t consider it as a classic, but I just have to mention it -^.^-
Phalkor - Mmm. Yes, that’s true. You certainly have a point there. ![]()
Witch_of_Night - I also love Brother Bear. Although I’m not all that thrilled about how they structured the story, I do love the animation.
Welcome to Pixar Planet, by the way! ![]()

Even though I haven’t seen it in years, my favourite would have to be The Rescuers. I need to rent it or something, because I remember really liking that movie not too long ago.
Oh I absolutely love the Rescuers. I haven’t seen that movie since I was in 8th grade, and I keep searching in my house for it.
My favorite classic is BAMBI!
Bambi is a great film RMSH! I think he and all the other animals are so cute.
Bambi? That was my favorite when I was a little girl. But later I didn’t like it very much, maybe because the German dubbing is rubbish (too trashy and instead of thousands words of dialouge, million words). Still I brought the DVD and since then I only watch it in English. So, I started to like it more again because the English dubbing wasn’t THAT trashy.
But did you understand it at least WON?
