Favourite Scene

^Hahaha! That’s awesome! I like that you mentioned the part about the music during the drive scene. The music from that scene and the goodbye scene just take my breathe away they are both just so gentle and beautiful. What do you guys think is your favourite scene from the sequel?

Yeah, I’m a sucker for sad music… hehe. ;-p

The sad thing is that I can’t think of any scenes I especially liked from Cars 2. :~o …Except for [spoil]the car with her eyes in her headlights.[/spoil] That was awesome.

But this is probably because I don’t remember a movie very well if I’ve only seen it once. :'D

Same! I remember this one a little better than most because it’s Cars 2 but normally I’m awful. I tend to forget the names of characters within like 15 mins of watching a movie for the first time. 8D

Sometimes I don’t even realize what their names are till I’m like, an hour into the movie. I’m terrible!

LOL! I know right? And then you find yourself referring to them like “that guy with the green tie”. :stuck_out_tongue: My grandmother bought my brother a Cars bingo set and you have to know the characters to play it…she couldn’t remember Guido and Luigi’s names to save her life!

Aaawww. Cars bingo? That sounds pretty awesome, actually…

First Movie: Pit Stop. That is all

Second Movie: Mater figuring the bad guy’s plan at the end. And the opening.

Hahaha, I actually played it, it was quite awesome! Plus it came with a Cars puzzle and Go Fish Cars edition. :stuck_out_tongue:

Spongey: Yeah, I really liked that part of the sequel too!

THIS.

For me in Cars 2… I can’t pick one yet, but I have 3 I really liked:
[spoil]1. The opening. Finn is so cool. _

  1. The party in Italy. I’m part Italian, plus Guido and Luigi fighting was hilarious.

  2. “I’m Mater’s Girlfriend.” I fistpump. Every. Time. <3[/spoil]

My favorite scene in Cars 2, eh?

[spoil]*I liked the opening scene

*I liked the race in Italy

*When the team arrives in Japan[/spoil]

8D I fist pump as well at the [spoil]“I’m his girlfriend”[/spoil] part! I really liked the [spoil]scene in Italy with Guido and Luigi as they discussed their past and their bond. Plus them dancing with those girls was adorable![/spoil]

Ah, yes, I love the [spoil]girlfriend[/spoil] part. <3 That might be my favorite part of the sequel, or the entirety of the Japan visit. <3

My favorite scene in Cars would be Lightning and Sally’s drive to and time at Wheel Well, or when Lightning gets taken from Radiator Springs and everyone closes their shops. (I agree with Pixel Candy, the music is so touching and there was definitely a tear from me.) Especially when Sally and Lightning said goodbye by Mack’s trailer. You could so tell he wanted to tell her how he felt about her, Awwwwwwwwww. <3 I also liked the final tiebreaker race, just cause it was the like the final climax, you know?

In Cars 2, I’ll say [spoil]when all the racecars from around the world come back to R. Springs in the end (Did anyone else notice that there was a girl racecar?!) and I loved Sally’s obsession with Francesco and his “open wheels” and Lightning’s jealousy over it. “Don’t say his name like that. It’s 3 syllables, not 10.” “What’s wrong with fenders? I thought you liked my fenders.” and at the end when she and Flo drool over him, haha. 8D I’ll also go with when Mater and Lightning are zooming down the London racetrack while Mater’s trying to get away from him. “YES MATER!!! YOU ARE THE BOMB!!!”[/spoil]There’s a lot more but those were the main ones, haha.

Hahaha yes, [spoil]Sally’s playful banter about Francesco[/spoil] was cute and [spoil]You are the bomb![/spoil] just killed me. I also loved [spoil]Francesco’s freak-outs like when McQueen called him fragile.[/spoil] And there was another one I was going to mention but it just slipped my mind, dang!

8D I loved [spoil]Lightning’s jealousy, it was precious <3[/spoil]. But I feel like my favorite Cars 2 scene was at the beginning, [spoil]when we saw that the Piston Cup was named for Doc. It brought a tear to my eye :*)[/spoil]

Yes, they should have [spoil]touched on Doc’s death more.[/spoil] You know, I actually think that part could have been a lot more emotional if it had been with Sally instead of Mater. That’s just my theory though! I remember the other part I was going to mention that I liked. It was [spoil]when they were in Japan and they met Francesco for the first time. That whole part was awesome when Francesco said McQueen wasn’t as good-looking as he expected and how Mater was telling him that Sally was a “huge” fan. :stuck_out_tongue:[/spoil]

I loved that part too  And yeah, I wish they had [spoil]made a bigger deal about Doc’s death too. He was such a big part of the first one, and it was just like he had never even existed in this one. And I missed Lightning too, he wasn’t in it as much as I’d liked.[/spoil] Oh, and I loooved when [spoil]Lightning and Sally were eating at the Wheel Well and Mater was their waiter [/spoil]

Yup, if they had expanded on [spoil]Doc’s death[/spoil] a bit it would have added a lot more emotion to the story. I think I brought this up before but I seriously did not understand that [spoil]Lizzy was still around even though she is obviously way older than Doc?[/spoil] I also loved the [spoil]date scene at the Wheel Well[/spoil] as well. That was by far my favourite scene even though it was quite brief. (Again, another one that they could have been used to bring more emotional depth but was cut short).

I can’t believe I forgot this part from Cars, but also one of my favorite scenes from the first one is where Lightning gets a glimpse of Sally’s tattoo. I always thought it was one of the very different scenes in the movie. It was kind of out there…for Disney and Pixar. I mean, come on, we all knew what it meant. Why was Lightning even looking there in the first place? But that’s another example of how Pixar includes adult humor also.

Anyway, I could not agree with you two more! I felt the same way about Doc [spoil]being so important in the first movie and in the second, they mentioned him like twice. They also needed to expand on how he died, like a flashback or something.[/spoil] MissCarrera: You are so right about that scene being more emotional with Sally, I thought of that also. [spoil]And I love that Tokyo scene, too! Lightning’s facial expressions are priceless. I love Fransceco, too. And when he freaks out during the London race. “WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!!?!” 8D and that part with his Momma before the Italy race when he’s trying to insult McQueen. I kind of thought that part was unecessary, I was like “Okay, where is this going?” but it was hilarious. And about Lizzie being around still, that just shows that old, crazy ladies never die. 8D[/spoil]

I, too, also love [spoil]the date scene at Wheel Well![/spoil] I hated Mater for cutting it so short! I wanted more Lightning and Sally! I honestly don’t know why things moved so fast in the movie, the first one was 2 hours exactly, and this one was 1 hr and 53 minutes, they had at least 7 minutes to expand on things, like hmm, I don’t know, ROMANCE, especially between a certain blue Porsche and red racecar.

Sometime before 2006, in the deepest trenches of the Pixar story department…

“So. The new couple for this movie is cute.”
“Yeah! It’s looking good.”
“…Too good.”
“Yeah. Let’s drive another wedge into it.”
“Hmmm…”
“Hey!”
“Yeah?”
“What if Mater interrupts any time they get too mushy?”
“YES!”

And the rest is history.
