Frozen (The Snow Queen)

I can’t believe I read that considering I avoid spoilers, but that’s very good to know!! I appreciate you for sharing because it put my nerves under control, lol.

I know! I’ve been thinking all year, don’t do that Disney. Don’t do that to me. And they didn’t! They aren’t that stupid after all. I can’t tolerate that stuff. 8D

I think it can be amusing, but I prefer to keep that gunk out of Disney feature animation. The past successes didn’t have it for a reason!

I agree! I guess in my mind Disney is too good for that nonsense.

I might consider seeing that movie on opening day (if I can get enough change for my movie money bank in time)!

I’m hoping to see this on opening day, too! Unfortunately I can never be 100% sure if my local theater will get it right away. :unamused:

Good luck!

Bringing this thread back to visible after the deluge of spam. FYI, the other threads begin on page 19.

I suppose I should post something actually about the movie. Looks fun. I’ll see it. Yay

I’d really like to see it (and so would my sister) but only if I get enough change for my movie money bank because, unfortunately, the dollar theater in my town is closing.

Got to see it tonight. A review is in the works but I will say, it’s one of the best Disney films I’ve seen in years!

I’m not sure when I’ll get to see this, but I’m very much looking forward to it, especially after hearing my friends say it was good

Got finished with the review. I recommend only reading it if you’ve seen the movie since there are spoilers. jsanimationblog.blogspot.com … round.html

Stupid Catching Fire got to the one-screen theater first, so I haven’t seen it yet. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll be seeing it tomorrow, but that seems like an eternity when you’re surrounded by animation fans.

K9Girl: How can your local theater be only one screen? Where I live, we have a fancy theater with 14 screens!

I live in a pretty small town. I love going to big fancy theaters whenever I can.

My plan is to go see Frozen tomorrow in a bigger city, and then whenever it comes to my small theater, I might see it again.

I’ve been keeping tabs on the Rotten Tomatoes score, and although it would have been nice to see it stay in the 90% range, I’m realizing anything above 70% is pretty good by their standards now. They’re so harsh  But all the summaries for the positive ones are practically glowing!

I saw Catching Fire today. It was for my sister. 8D But guess what? Glen is taking me to see Frozen next Saturday!

The funny thing about this messageboard is that there’s usually a lot of great fun discussion about an upcoming animated release. Then the movie comes out, and the discussion pretty much stops for a while. I know we all don’t live in America and different get movies during different times of the year. It’s just something I’ve noticed since I’ve been coming here that I thought was funny.

That’s a good point. It can be difficult to offer criticism or have a meaningful conversation without using spoilers, which would be useless since most here haven’t seen it.

I saw it yesterday, and I loved it. I ADORED the costumes. [spoil]Elsa’s ice castle was amazingly beautiful![/spoil] I felt that I could relate to both girls in different ways. I can’t decide which one I relate to more.

[spoil]In my mind I said “Ugh” when I figured out it was a musical, but the songs didn’t seem to take up as much time as in other musicals. Maybe it was the way they were spaced[/spoil]

It was very refreshing because it was different than I expected. I didn’t know much about the movie before I saw it, so I suppose I did go in there with clear eyes. [spoil]Before going to the movie, I saw a picture with Elsa, Anna, Hans, and Kristoff all standing next to each other, and I said to my mom “Each girl is going to like one of those guys, it’s so predictable.” Haha, I was glad to be wrong. The twist on Hans and the fact that Elsa didn’t end up with someone was very refreshing.[/spoil]

[spoil]I also liked that Elsa didn’t end up being a villain.[/spoil]

[spoil]I didn’t like how Hans told his “revealing he’s a villain speech” so fast. I think I missed some stuff he said at the beginning of it.[/spoil]
