Yah, the trailer does make the movie a lot more appealing, don’t ya think? And definitely the cast (Cage, Cruz, Nighy, Arnett, Buscemi, Sam Rockwell, Tracy Morgan, Zach Galifianakis…it just keeps going!) has more star/comedy appeal than your average talking animal movie…Heehee, and yes, the mice are pretty cute!
Woody - I didn’t catch the Sneak Peek on Disney Channel…any good?
Ahhh… Oh well. They’ll probably start showing newer stuff after Up comes out, ya?
I did find this kinda cool sweepstakes about the movie that might interest you if you’re planning on seeing it…The first one million fans to enter will get to see the movie for free IF a grand slam is hit during the all-star game. That makes for a compelling All-Star game, at the very least!
I don’t like to admit it, but you know how my opinion about Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and about changed Coraline quickly? Here I go again XD…I actually am beginning to anticipate G-Force! I still don’t agree with how personification was kinda overused here (like Juarz’s “secret weapon”), but besides that I’m actually looking forward to this. The mice were so cute! I also like that line “James Bond never had these problems.”
thedriveintheatre - I know! Pretty crazy promo but it’s definitely a good one because anybody can join. Sooo here’s hoping Manny or Pujols hit a grand slam! (Um, if Manny’s back in action, that is…)
bd-d: Some trailers can do that for you…Sometimes it takes a second or third clip/trailer to get me to change my mind about a movie…This trailer had the same effect on me too! The jokes seem a little more geared towards adults in this one, I think and probably why it appeals to us more. And I know you think the animal personification is too much, but I personally think the CG on them is pretty amazing!
I went to a celebration at my local zoo and they were giving away free FULL size G-Force posters and trading cards! I almost died of happiness! Only 41 more days! XD. I don’t know if anyone has already mentioned this, but the G-Force site has gotten a new makeover…I like the new one a lot better.
Thanks for the heads up woody! Loving the new homepage w/ the guinea pigs!.Hurley looks super cute to me especially that shot of him on the Bruckheimer featurette page. And so cool that you got the posters and trading cards!
I know some people were turned off w/ the whole humanized guinea pig thing but I think the CGI in this looks kinda cool and am thinking it actually will be fun to watch in 3D. I read in an interview where they talk about anthropomorphizing the guinea pigs vs. keeping real guinea pig characteristics. Kind of interesting because they say the purposely created the guinea pigs to be as close to the real animal as possible because what makes the whole concept funny is that they’re these cute furry animals that are supposed to do all the physical stuff that secret agents do. I’ll have to find the interview and post it - there were also some pretty neat mentions of how they came up with some new techniques for lighting and visual effects for the movie.
Hehe…have you seen the new featurette on Disney.com? It goes into the gadgets that they use - Speckles has some pretty cool toys to play with. I LOVE the RDV - the hamster balls that use in the car chase scene. Best lines in that clip:
“Hey, what’s that?!”
“That’s my little friend…Say hello!”
Oh wow! Too bad I read that spoiler Honestly, I wanna watch the first movie before thinking about a sequel! It seems like it does have potential for one, though. Those mice need a movie! I also like the other tag line from the movie: “Fast, Furry and Furious”
Have you seen this recording session of Sam Rockwell & Jon Favreau? More classic lines from the movie…Those two are hilarious! I love Jon Favreau
“Oh are you bionic? If you’re the 6 million dollar guinea pig, how come they were selling you for $350???” HAHA!
how many of you guys will go see this film on opening weekend? Just wondering because so far my friends hate it I haven’t got that many to see it with me,although most of my friends though Up was stupid…I really want this film to earn the money it deserves…
