I honestly am counting down the hours until my showing! I’m already planning on seeing it twice this weekend 
It’s nice to see it’s getting some good reviews, although I knew that it would. These are the same people who wrote Pirates of the Caribbean, the first two Shrek movies, the Road to El Dorado, National Treasure (both), and Aladdin! That’s a pretty impressive line up! 
Holy cow! Really? Those are like, a few of my favourite movies right there! And they’re giving Disney the spy flick treatment? Who woulda thought?
Die Hard and Indy references? If I had to see this movie, it would be for those two lines alone!

And wowzers did Disney REALLY pull out all the stops for this movie! I mean, the writers, the mega-producer, the special fx director, and the who’s who of comedy genius Hollywood cast? They got everybody on-board for this. I really do hope it does well!
Hehe, gotta love those pop culture action references! They had me with the “6 Million Dollar Guinea Pig” line, but the “Yippe-Kay-Yay coffeemaker” is a close second

can you tell the future? I was planning on doing my first ever movie review on G-Force! I’ll put it up ASAP 
well I was very wrong. So far critics have said good things about the 3-D and special effects in G-Force
but said it’s story is just terribble
so far, Rotten Tomatoes has given it a 15%(:`-( ). I’m still going to see this though, I’ll post up my review later .
Ignore the Anton Egos. If you like the movie and look forward to it, nothing some snooty critic can pull out of his stuffy preconceived notions of what a good movie constitutes should change your mind. There were some movies which were critically panned that I love, and if the reviewers don’t like it, so what? To me, they just don’t know what they’re missing.

Just got back, and before I start this review I have two things to say, this is my first review so it probably won’t be that good, and that I did truly enjoy this film. Now that I got that out of the way, I have to say this film was amazing in the visual part. Especially the fireworks in 3-D! By far the best 3-D effects I have ever seen! And just like the critics said, the story could’ve used some work. And just clearing this up, the BASIS of the movie was written by Terry Rossio and Ted Elliot. The actual screenplay was by a wife and husband who I have never heard of. It seemed a little like you were jumping into the middle of an adventure, kinda like the Kim Possible: So the Drama. It felt like there was no introduction to these characters, but I still felt for them (although maybe that’s because they’re cute and fluffy ) All together the film was a small entertaining flick, but definitely didn’t live up to my expectations. [spoil] although I think a lot of it was because my favorite character turned out to be evil

I’m sorry to say that my favorite part was the Alice in Wonderland trailer in 3-D.

But I will let you know what I think…From what I have seen, yeah RT and the movie critics aren’t going to rate a movie like this very well but from from word-of-mouth moviegoers that have seen it, they say about the same thing as you - it looked really cool (3D the way to go apparently) and it was entertaining.
It’s always interesting to read what the critics say, but I am more inclined to listen to the movie going public (like you, woody) anyways

I saw G-Force yesterday and I really wish I hadn’t. I honestly did not like it. It wasn’t very interesting to me. [spoil]Also, it felt like their wasn’t really a villian. It kept changing and then at the end their wasn’t really a bad guy.[/spoil]

I went again and I liked it a lot better the second time . I’m just warning you guys, don’t go in with such big expectations. That was what made me not like it so much the first time…It’s still a really great movie and all just not what I thought a Jerry Bruckheimer production should be. I just recently watched G-Force last Saturday, and I’ll probably say that it’s alright. I mean, if you have extremely high expectations for it then you’ll hate it, but since I didn’t know what to expect, I didn’t think it was the worst thing I’ve watched. I kind of thought the the movie would be more comedy than actiony, since the commercials had a lot of references and funny gags. But eh, you don’t always get what you want. [spoil]I also though the the human characters lack in character development, seriously. Even Ben, who practically raised the original members of G-Force, was a little bit boring.[/spoil] I though that the guinea pigs in G-Force had somewhat cliche personalities, but they’re likable I think. The rest of the animals were pretty awesome (not to say the guinea pigs weren’t). [spoil]Especially Bucky, and Speckles, even though he turned all evily near the end. I’m just glad that Darwin convinced him otherwise, but I have the feeling that, if there’s a sequel, Speckles will have to deal with the internal struggle of choosing whether to side with his teammates and Ben, or his own species and revenge on the human race. Seriously, I think Speckles will have a pretty tough time with that, which may lead to him to either becoming extremely bonkers/out of his mind along with a pinch of a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde persona, or he’ll go back to being all evily and such, but that’s just me =/

ANYWAYS…The movie was alright. It may be far from WALL-E or Up, and it definitely had potential to be be even better than how it turned out, but it’s better than a lot other movies out there. It was really cute though, and the actiony scenes were really, well, let’s face it. the #-D/live action effects were AWESOME! Besides my criticisms, which some were somewhat based on mixed reviews, I think the movie is pretty cool! Maybe even fandom worthy, since I’ve actually created an OC (origonal Character) recently that would be able to fit in the G-Force universe, possible =/
I hated the movie. It made Transformers 2 seem bad!!! (Before G-Force, T:RotF was horrible)
So I finally saw the movie!! Since reading your guys’ reviews, I lowered my expectations a bit. I thought it was cute and it was entertaining, but the CGI was definitely the highlight of the movie! Well-done to Yeatman and his team for that. I’m also a sucker for pop culture references so I didn’t mind those Die Hard, Indy, Scarface, Arnold jokes thrown in there either.
You definitely have to go into it thinking that it’s meant to be a fun family movie for the summer, in the same vein as Transformers and what not and just enjoy the ride.
I know what you mean on that. I thought that it was really cute too. I think that one of the reasons why a lot of people don’t like it is because they expected it “so much more” or something that would appeal to all audiences. And to tell you the truth, most of the people giving bad reviews for G-Force are probably either in their late teens, or their adults. Sometimes I think they should consider that this movie was made for kids, rather than the critics themselves, since it’s not like the kids who’ve watched the movie hate it nearly as much as critics.

And welcome to the boards, JayJay! Good to see you could justify your opinion (and it helps that it’s favourable to mine, heheh). Film critics need to realise that not all kids see movies with their ‘adult’ lenses on. I think a great torture device would be to strap a critic and force him to watch Saturday morning cartoons for a day straight! 
Now, I think most kids’ films and cartoons back in the 90s were waaay better than what they’re churning out nowadays, but you just have to admit that this is a different kind of entertainment for a new generation. Whether we like it or not, it seems to be heading that way (G-Force actually beat Harry Potter for pole position last weekend! Can you imagine? A freakin’ talking animal movie trumping the wizard behemoth?).
I, for one, don’t seem to mind its presence. May be a matinee or a rental for me, depending on my mood on its release.

cough Yeah, I miss the old shows like Animaniacs and Rocko’s Modern Life. Now I just see a lot of Phineas and Ferb and way too much SpongeBob (I like the show, but the new episodes stink. Plus they show it all the time on Nick). But kids entertainment that’s on now is, well, suited for kids. Not the critics, but the kids. I think I might rent it too on DVD, and it beat little old Harry!? It’s weird out furry FBI agents could beat wizardry to the punch at the box office =/

Naysayers who think 3D is a fad… think and say again…
The Movie was entertaining and unlike other studios Disney has Worked… and Worked well on the Movies and ensuring they are 3D… and that the 3D is not just the whole reach into the audience to whip your popcorn, Disney Drop Backgrounds Back, and this is clearly shown further in the Up trailer!
Well worth the Extra £1.30 to my ticket just to catch the Walt Disney Logo in 3D, and the Up trailer!!
Story wise G-Force doesn’t hit all the right notes… it hits a good few, focuses on working with good clean family fun… Something Bruckheimer hasn’t done for a while!
Characters Great… Not as good as Disney’s previous furry sidekick everyone Loves, Rhino, but the characters develop as they should in a movie.
Disney’s 3D… Nice intricate start. Throughout the movie with Disney creating Space between characters in a conversation by dropping one into the background and bringing one to the audience!
Overall… Not as bad as I thought it would be… Not outstanding either… 3D worked well… 7.8/10

They even had a set of character posters with cheesy puns (the one for Darwin said he had a "hair trigger" ). I’ll see if I can find it online (or I’ll take some photos if I can get away with it). Gosh, I’m such a sucker for 'em.
GU (a local chain of Oz theatres) is holding advanced screenings for charity, so any Aussies who happen to want to watch G-Force and for a good cause can catch it on 13th September (with a discounted 3-D price, no less!). I’m pontificating whether it’s worth a theatre visit, since September looks like a pretty ‘dry’ month movies-wise for me.
G-Force opens in theatres September 17th. Which also happens to be the same weekend for Up’s general release in Sydney. facepalm Disney, what are you doing?
