through the roof ! I didn’t know you guys like my writing that much !
So … next chapter ! yay ! It’s
always best for me to write about couples when im in one of those mushy moods . 
Chapter
Two
Lightning was gently snoring in the cozy cone lobby . He was behind the desk , and looked more calm
and peaceful than he had usually been . When Sally found him there , she couldn’t help but laugh a little ,
remembering the times she had dozed off in the very same spot , and he would find her there .
"
Stickers , " Sally said softly , " Stickers - "
" [b]What - ah
![/b]" Lightning was shocked to find Sally smiling at him , the sun shining bright in his eyes ,
causing him to wince . " Oh , hey Sally " , he muffled a yawn , " when did you get back ?
"
" Oh , about five minutes ago . What brings you to my usual spot for 9:00AM to 2:00PM ? "
She questioned .
" Some late night customers woke me up at , like , 3 in the morning for a room . I
must’ve dozed off after I handed them the keys . " Lightning streched , letting a loud yawn pass his grill
. " That is not a comfortable place to sleep . "
" I should know , having to sleep there
for enless nights hoping a customer would come . We’re still set for tonight right ? "
" Of
course , " He answered back , " I rescheduled my paint job earlier than planned so it would have time
to dry . I’ll probably go back to sleep for a few hours after that , " Lightning remembered , "
what’s the time ? "
" About nine-thirty , " Sally glanced up at the clock .
"
Aw shoot ! I’m supposed to be at Ramone’s right now ! I’ll see you later Sally , " he drove off , after
giving her a small peck on the cheeck .
Sally watched him drive off quickly . She gave a quick sigh , it
wasn’t that often when lightning would kiss her . She didn’t mind though , it made her cherish the kisses more
, even if they were as quick as he was . She remembered their first kiss :
[i]" Okay Sally
," Lightning Mcqueen had said last Christmas , " why did you send me a note telling me you wanted to
meet me here ? "
" What do you mean , you sent me a note saying you wanted to meet me here .
"
The two of them chatted on and on , until Mater had snuck up on them with a miseltoe on his tow
cable . Sally was so surprised when she saw it .
" Merry Christmas Lightning , " Angie said to
him as she drove by ." Well , you two know the rules of miseltoe , if two are under , they must engage in a
kiss ! Don’t you just love the holidays ? "[/i]
Sally remebered the kiss perfectly too .
It was soothing and romantic . Not only that , but it was one of the only kisses Sally had that gave her good
chills just thinking about it .
Wow , Sally thought ,[i] we
really are in love , more than I suspected too . That’s it ! Tonight I’m going to tell him I love him , and if
he’s shocked … then this relationship has big issues .[/i]She spent the rest of the day thinking
about Lightning and their next date .
" Okay , I think after the tenth time you got the drill ,
so just hold your breath and this should be over in five minutes ."
Lightning nodded as he shut his
eyes and did as he was told . Racing seasn had ended , so he decided to go back to his regular radiator springs
style , as in without the giant rust-eze sticker on his hood and #95 .
" So ," Ramone stared as
he was done finishing up the area where lightning’s grill was , " Flo tells me you got an anniversary date
with Sally tonight . "
" Yeah , " lightning replied , " I can’t believe we’ve
already been dating for a year . "
" Hey , time flies when you’re havin’ fun , man ! And once
your with that special someone , by the time you know it , you’ll be married , have kids - " he stopped
when he noticed Lightning’s eyes get wide , " Okay , so I’m speeding a little too fast up the road of the
future , but dude , everyone in this town knows you two belong together ! It was love at first sight - oh wait ,
no it wasn’t . Sally used to despise you , " he laughed as he remebered , " Crazy how things can
change , i remember when you were hitting on here , i was thinking , [i]hey , this dude’s gonna get a
restaining order from her [/i], I guess I was wrong though . "
" Yeah , it’s a good
thing you were too , " Lightning replied back with a smile .
" So , where you two headed ?
"
" I’m thinking just a quick cruise , with the help of Lizzie’s radio again , and then we
might take a quick drive to the Wheel Well , " Lightning said . He hadn’t really planned yet , he was just
happy Sally and him could have some time to themselves again .
" Sounds like yu two are gonna have a
nice night , " Ramone said , " Well , you’re all done . Just let it dry for a few hours before you go
driving again , and I mean driving , like 55mph driving , because dude , if you mess this one again , I might
actually have to charge you ! "
While Lightning was getting his paint job done , Sally was
chatting with the girls at Flo’s while sipping her regular .They were once again chatting about her and
Lightning , as if the madness would ever stop !
" Okay , " Sally started , " can we
please stop talking about my love issues ? "
" Oh , honey we’re
sorry if we’re annoying you , but everyone knows you two are meant to be , " Flo said , " even if it
didn’t look like it from the start . "
" True , " Sally replied , " Heh , I remember
our first drive . That was the total beginning of the sparks . "
" Ooh ! " , Chai and Angie
seemed over excited .
" Can you tell us about it Sally ? " asked Chai .
" Yeah , I
don’t remember this one . "
Sally sighed , " Alright , Alright . "

Sally and Lightning drove along the road silently .
" So , where we going ? "
" I
don’t know . "
Lightning went a bit fast , sally did it back in return . Lightning did it again ,
and the he suddenly saw a blue streak flash by .
" Woah , yes ! "
The drove along ,
turning smoothly at each turn . Sally decided a bit to flirt , so she splahed water in lightning’s face . He
shook .
" Haha ! "
She did it again , but she missed him . Lightning soon got covered in
mud by the same puddle , then he got covered in leaves .
" Hahaha ! "
Then they went
through a tunnel as Sally sped ahead . When Lightning got out of the tunnel , he noticed the scenery , it was
beautiful . Then he saw Sally in front of the waterfall . She smiled softly as she saw him staring at her .
He smiled back , his grill full of bugs . She chuckled softly , and he did back , not noticing the bugs .
Soon he felt them with his toungue , and spit them out as if he was disgusted .[/i]
" Not
the most romantic drive , " Sally said , " but it was still nice and sweet . Besides , I love a man
that can make me laugh . " She smiled a Lightning while he drove back to the garage slowly , careful not to
mess up his paintjob . She soon started daydreaming again .
" Which is why you’re gonna tell him you
love him tonight , right ? " Angie said with a smirk .
" I already decided that this morning ,
Angie . It’s been put back for too long . "
It’s so romantic ! Eee ,
just about one or two more parts left in this fanfic .
And it looks like Lightning
