Romeo and Juliet-with GARDEN GNOMES! Yawn.
All I’ll say is that I didn’t like this movie. You guys aren’t missing anything; Igor was much better. That was not a joke.
Hollywood ruined Little Shop of Horrors, my favorite tragedy. At least they didn’t touch Romeo and Juliet. It may not be my favorite, but it’s the favorite of many others, and I doubt Hollywood would hurt those millions of people like they hurt me.
sees the poster for Gnomeo & Juliet
I scream “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” dramatically while an instrumental version of Hell-Fire from Hunchback of Notre Dame plays in the background
That song is perfect for that movie’s failure.
A friend of mine got dragged along to see this; he said it was quite bad, but not the worst he’s had to endure…he said Mars Needs Moms was worse.
I haven’t seen Mars Needs Moms, but this movie is pretty bad.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
No what? You like G&J? I mean, it’s okay if you do, but why don’t you just say that instead of shouting and using a threateningly placed smiley?
I know, I was wondering what the point of that post was.
I saw it about 2 weeks ago, it was ok. I wouldn’t buy it when it comes to DVD though.
EJE: A lot of posts confuse me, but I’m still trying to decode that one. I mean, it could have been taken either way.
I mean, upon further thinking, this probably wasn’t the worst movie I’ve ever seen. But it might be my 3rd least favorite of all time.
3rd least favorite of all time or 3rd least favorite as far as animation goes? (What is your least favs btw?)
Least favorites of all time. However, it might interest you to know that all 3 of the bottom are animated anyway.
1.Shrek
2.Chicken Little
3.Gnomeo and Juliet
Yep. It’s probably ridicuous that Shrek is one of my least favorites since it is a classic, but I really do hate it so much.
That’s understandable! Now if I want to buy you a DVD, and there’s only those three in stock, I know which one to get!
Okay, then. I’ll get you Megamind. Unless you already have it.
I actually hated the movie…and had nothing else to say but a nooooooooooooo.
I’ve just rented this from work, and oh. my. gosh. It’s got to be one of my favorite movies now. It stuck really well to the Romeo and Juliet story, and just surpassed expectations all around.
If you guys do get the chance, check it out.
