lizardgirl - Haha! Aw man. Really? That’s too bad. The Harry Potter novels are some of the coolest books in existance… Oh well. Everyone has different tastes!
That “P Party” idea sounds pretty cool! I should do something like that sometime…
Yeah, well being childish is one thing, being childish in public is a different story. It’s bad enough I get teased for how I look normally- no way in hell am I going out begging for candy, 'specially since half the houses will have people my age handing out candy. =P
I love Halloween. I think it is one of the coolest holidays we have here. Unfortunately, I feel too old for trick or treating. It is unfortunate because I love costumes and dressing up. If one of my friends set up a really hot Halloween party, I would totally dress up and go. Probably as a 1920s flapper girl or something else from history. Maybe a character from a classic novel or from Shakespeare, like Titania (the fairy queen) from a Midsummer Night’s Dream… Ooh! A Marie Antoinette costume would be so fun. For some reason, the story of Marie Antoinette is so fascinating for me (and I developed that fascination before the Kirsten Dunst movie, thank you – although, that is a really good movie).
Hmmm,so that’s why you don’t want to go. With me, I get teased becuase I’m different. I get teased in public,too-they think I’m weird, but usually, it’s my sister acting like an idiot. Seriously, you should see her. It’s hard to NOT laugh at her and tell her to shut up at the same time.
Aside from Chirstmas…
Ahh Halloween. An enjoyable holiday. Not only because of dressing up in a costume, visiting the neighborhood, and getting free stuff heh…
But because of the atmosphere and all encircling the holiday. For instance, T.V. specials. Wow, some of those just bring out the creepy and strange and the feeling of horror and mystery. Take Invader Zim’s Halloween special. Boy that was weird, being sucked into a Halloween universe…
Anyway…
There’s just something about Halloween. Can’t really describe it…
I loooove Halloween! I don’t get to go trick or treating anymore, but I still dress up and hand out candy =D Any ideas on what I should be? I’ve been a cat the past five years haha.
Nexas - That reminds me… One of our tv stations might have a Twilight Zone marathon. I’m gonna have to catch it; however, if they don’t have that then I’ll probably just watch Corpse Bride with my sister. It’s one of the few Tim Burton films I can stand to watch… (snigger)
Puh-ha! How devoted can you get…?
Tay - Hmm. Maybe you could go as Linguini…or Colette?
COme Halloween, you would be surprised. I mean, tell me about all of the Pirates fans at my school. What do you think they are going to be for Hallorween?
And who cares if you look silly in public? My friends and I constantly get strange looks from people around town, but as long as we’re having fun, it doesn’t matter.
Nexas-Oh,yesssss, the Invader Zim Halloween special. I saw most of it recently-although I stopped about 18 minutes into the thing becuase the fact that the audio wasn’t together with the picture got on my nerves. The nightmare versions of the characters were pretty creepy, but I think the scariest thing in the whole episode was Fairy Bitters.
Gotta love the random “I’m floating” line though. For some strange reason, I laughed my head off at that.
lizardgirl - Puh-ha! They went further than that, huh? brainstorms ‘Potty’, ‘poop’… Eh, I better not go too far.
Exactly! Heck, people think I’m weird already, so I don’t think that there’s any harm in taking it a little bit further. Heck, if the people at Pixar can be crazy so can the rest of us! (snigger)
Yay! It’s nearly time to be able to watch the Nightmare Before Christmas again! I just can’t watch that film at any other time of year- it has to be near Halloween.
Well, on a side note, if I do dress up, my hair wont’s be really that bad. My mom put it in pigtails this morning and it didn’t look all that bad. (However, after phys ed I had to take both out 'cause the one fell out. Eh, I don’t care that much, it was becuase I was changing anyways.)
lizardgirl-Oh yes, NBC-never saw it. I think I caught a glimpse or two of it last year, but it was only like 2 secs. I want to see it this year-oh,yeah, and Corpse Bride (fully! I saw about 20 minutes of it last year too but never saw all of it.).
