Halloween

Girl, I know how you feel. I live really close to the fires and it is tough to get your costume right now.

I think this is one of the worst times to have fires, right before Halloween. Haha.

I wish I would’ve put together my costume earlier…

Here is what my friend is doing. Since she had to evacuate, she just packed some of her stuff. If she can’t go to a costume shop, she is going to take everything/anything she has or what she can find and put something together. She is an artist though for creating stuff to wear.

That was another one of my ideas if I can’t get to a costume shop in time. I was thinking of just putting a bunch of random clothes and accessories together and do kind of a mix-and-match thing, like you would do for one of those spirit days at school

You do that. My friend already has a few kitchen utensils and a lot of gray stuff. She probably is going out as a robo kitchen maid or something like that.

I have a friend who’s going as a zombie chef :stuck_out_tongue: She’s wearing an apron, and splattering fake blood all over it. Haha.

Oooh, that is really intresting.

One week and counting, folks…

I know, I am so excited to bring out my old Mr. Incredible costume too!

Pff. Man, it’s almost Halloween and my mom and I haven’t even bought any candy yet… Heh.

This time around, I plan to just sit on my butt and watch Corpse Bride with my sister while we eat dinner. No trick-or-treating for me this year! I’m gonna relax. (snigger)

She should sport a dead rat toy underneath her togue or something… :stuck_out_tongue: (snigger)

You ain’t going trick-or-treating Mitch? You should. It isn’t every day you get an opportunity to get days worth of free candy.

Corpse Bride! Ahh, I love that movie

I normally watch The Nightmare Before Christmas on Halloweens and Christmas, even though I think it’s more of a Christmas movie

Haha, she should. That would be halarious!

…even though she hasn’t seen Ratatouille.

The Star Swordsman - Naaah, that’s all right. I don’t need the extra calories. :stuck_out_tongue:

LeBatEnRouge - Yeah, Corpse Bride was beautifully crafted! It’s one of the only Tim Burton films that I look forward to watching… (snigger)

She hasn’t? That’s gonna have to change… (snigger)

Okay, I finally had a chance to go to WalMart today with my family. We were looking around at Halloween costumes there, when I finally just decided that i’d buy an apron, wear that with one of these little paper Ratatouille chef hats I bought at Party City a while back (hah. I couldn’t resist ), and bring my Remy plushie with me on Halloween this year

I really wish we had Halloween down here, so I could dress up as Colette, or a female Linguini. Oh well…

Speaking of dressing up as a character from Ratatouille, a couple of people did a bit of dressing up and put the photos in a LJ entry. I like what they’ve done overall and the poses are really cool (Although very cosplayish). I give them a 7/10 for effort, but they really should have tidied up their kitchen a bit beforehand and gotten the correct pants and shoes. Yes, I have high standards for anything Ratatouille. What do you guys think?

Also, I’m guessing they are from Australia because they are using the cruddy Muppet-like plush toys we have… Blah.

Ooooh. You have to take a photo!

Hahahah, a few of those pictures were funny!

Overall, I would five them a 9/10, but that’s just because anything of the sort (crafts, costume making) is way out of my range. Seriously, I botch every project I happen to start. :unamused:

Thanks for the link.

On Halloween itself, I’ve decided to slob out and just watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. I will try and remember to buy sweets for the little kiddies that come Trick or Treating, since last year we forgot and all the kids were so disappointed, since all we had to offer them were these bran bar things. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m going to a Halloween party, but not on Halloween itself since going to a party on a Wednesday night is never a good idea. The party’s a few days after. I’m just gonna be a cheapskate and wear the same Grim Reaper costume that I did last time.

Haha, I actually found this picture not too long ago. I thought it was great, and it’s really cute how they had the plushies with them

Haha! That’s cute. I’ll give them an 8/10 for effort and set-up, even though I suppose that they could have put a tad bit more appeal into the project as a whole. The customes were pretty much top-notch, the actors themselves were believeable, and the hamster was adorable. Heheh.

Thanks for the link, rachel!

Well, just did some Halloween Candy shoppong yesterday. It is a lot of candy. Two bags filled with the classic candy bars.
